Baby Girl Project: Beach House 1
“You really think this isn’t going to blow up in our face?” Vidette asked.
“Come on, this is Keeley we’re talking about. It’ll be fine.” Dominika replied, sipping her wine.
Vidette looked around the room while she gathered her thoughts. Dominika had used the same boring designer that all her friends seemed to use. The ‘clean aesthetic’ with everything in white wasn’t distracting, precisely because it was boring.
It’s not that she didn’t want to join in on Dominika’s plan. Vidette thought. It sounded like a ton of fun. The problem part was that it also sounded like a ton of potential drama.
“It’s just so extreme. You’re planning to gang up on her physically. We’d keep her trapped at the beach house for a while. There’s even drugs involved.”
“Oh please.” Dominika scoffed. “Spironolactone is just water pill, not something hardcore like heroin. Which Keeley has actually tried, if you remember.”
Vidette took a long drink of her wine. “She does get herself out of hand every six months it seems like.”
“With her parents gone on that ‘sabbatical’ in Dubai, she’s due for another one.” Dominika said.
“What if we’re wrong and she freaks out?” Vidette asked.
“Then she sicks her lawyers on us, it’ll be a whole drama thing, and we’ll have to spend a bunch of money to keep it out of the papers.” Dominika said. “But you know she won’t.”
“Probably not.” Vidette sighed. “I mean, it sounds fun, but it’s pretty weird.”
“Weirder than the secret society crap that your brother gets up to? Nobody’s going to make Keeley ‘frolic’ with a pig.”
“Please do not remind me of that.” Vidette downed the rest of her wine. “Fine, you’ll get the beach house set up, and I’ll get her there.”
“Perfect.” Dominika grinned toothily. “This is going to be a blast. We’re all bored, we need it.”
“Yeah, you’re not wrong there.” Vidette stretched. “Want to go into the city tonight?”
“Dinner?” Dominika asked.
“Yeah, and a club too if we can find one that doesn’t suck.”
“Good luck. Manhattan is dead. But yeah, let’s go.”
“Great, I want to do some shopping anyway. For Keeley’s adventure.”
“Can’t wait to see what you find.” Dominika said.
—–
Keeley yawed and stretched out in the passenger seat of Vidette’s Maserati. It was nice of Vidette to drive, even if she had been kind of weird about the invite to Dominika’s beach house. Idly, she wondered if one or both of her friends were going to hit on her. It might actually be fun if they did. Zach was getting gross enough with cocaine that she didn’t want to be around him right now.
A clandestine girl hookup would be a nice palate cleanser. That’d make Vidette a raven-haired sorbet and Dominika a brunette one. Keeley giggled at the image.
And I’m the blonde sorbet! She thought. The best one.
“What’s so funny?” Vidette asked, pulling up the private drive to the beach house. Up on a bluff, it commanded a beautiful view of the waves while providing access to the beach below with an elevator.
“Heh, just a silly thought. Thanks for inviting me. Zach is getting gross again.”
“I don’t know why you keep going back to him.” Vidette said, bringing the car to a stop and climbing out.
Keeley hopped out and grabbed her dual carry-ons. “I dunno. Daddy does business with his family all the time. We end up at all the parties together.”
“Let’s make the weekend a Zach-free zone.” Vidette said, climbing the steps with two larger bags in hand.
“Works for me. Jeeze Vi, how much stuff did you bring anyway?”
“Vidette, Keeley!” Dominika threw the door open with a big grin on her face. “Get in here girls.”
It took a good half hour to get her stuff all set up with no help around. The relaxation hadn’t started until she had her butt parked on a couch. Mimosa in hand, since it was still before noon, Keeley toasted her friends.
“This was a great idea. I’m way less stressed already.” The gorgeous view of the sea out a wall of windows was a big help too.
“Thank you.” Dominika said. “Vidette said you’ve got some stuff you want to get away from right now.”
“Yeah.” Keely said. Taking a gulp of the mimosa she tried to push Zach out of her mind. An odd minty taste under the heavy orange flavor of the drink was a nice distraction. Dominika was experimenting with weird cocktails again.
“While we’re here we wanted to play a little game.” Vidette said.
“Huh, like what?”
“It’s something that Vidette and I came up with for you.” Dominika said.
“Uh, is this a sex thing?” Keeley giggled.
“Not really, but I’m sure you’ll try to turn it into one.” Vidette teased.
“That’s not fair, that was only one time.” Keeley protested.
“Only one time when we were into seances, but literally every time we played Truth or Dare in high school.” Vidette said.
“Oh my god, that’s what Truth or Dare is for.” Keeley said.
“That’s fair, but you were always the first to go there.” Dominika said, chuckling. “Anyway, will you go along with the game for us?”
“I don’t even know what the game is.” Keeley said, confused. Had they said something before and she’d just missed it? They didn’t usually spring stuff like this on her out of nowhere.
“We want you to relax, take your mind off everything.” Vidette said. “Just follow our lead, okay?”
“Uh, I think I should still know something about it.” Keeley said uncertainly. Her growing nervousness was helped only a little by finishing off the mimosa with another big gulp.
“We’ll walk you through it as things come up.” Dominika said.
Both women stood and reached for Keeley’s hands, pulling her to her feet. Her nervousness came back full blast, erasing the effects of the mimosa.
“Uh, what’s going on?”
“First part of the game is dress-up.” Vidette said eagerly. “We have some outfits for you that we think will help distract you.”
“It’s easier if we just show you.” Dominika said, tugging the snap open on Keeley’s skirt. She had that stern tone in her voice that Keeley could never directly say no to.
“I guess but um, I can change on my own – ack!” Keeley squawked as Vidette yanked her blouse up over her head. She lost her skirt at the same time, reluctantly stepping out of it.
“It’s not like we’ve never seen you naked.” Vidette said, already unsnapping Keeley’s bra.
“Give me these.” Dominika commanded, pulling Keeley’s thong panties down.
Regardless of what her friends had said before, it was obviously a sex thing. Keeley stood nervously nude, trying to own her exposure and look confident. It was hard to be confident around those two though, especially Dominika.
“And now you’re gonna drag me to the bedroom for this totally not a sex thing, right?” Keeley asked.
“No, we have the outfit right here.” Vidette said, producing a plain white sports bra.
It looked uncomfortably like a training bra, but it would at least cover her chest. Keeley obediently put her arms up and squirmed into the restrictive garment. Dominika was back at the other end with a pair of cotton panties. They were pretty basic with a pale daisy pattern on them.
“Those are cute I guess.” Keeley said, checking out the panties.
Her friends were too busy dressing her to respond. A light brown pleated skirt went up her legs while Vidette pulled her arms through a cream colored shirt with a familiar badge over the left breast.
“Is this our prep school uniform?” Keeley exclaimed.
“That’s right.” Vidette said, buttoning up the blouse and tying a little pastel yellow handkerchief under the collar.
“Gimme your feet.” Dominika said, helping Keeley step into a pair of thick white tights.
The tights were, well, tight. Especially at the waist, they pinched a little. Keeley had worn a lot more uncomfortable though. They weren’t nearly as bad as a slingshot bathing suit.
“Why am I in a school uniform?”
“Cause we’re going to take care of everything for you while we’re here.” Vidette said. “The clothes are just a reminder of when our parents used to do a lot for us.”
“We’ll make sure you don’t fret about the stuff that’s bothering you.” Dominika said. She took Keeley’s phone off the table, ignoring her protests, and stowed it in her purse. “You can have it supervised, but there won’t be any contacting the guy we aren’t going to talk about.”
Keeley looked from Dominika to Vidette. It was – a lot – what they’d just done, but it was sweet too. Plus Dominika was right, if she had her phone she’d definitely respond to Zach’s texts, or at least be stressed out by them.
“Well, okay.” A halfhearted smile became the real thing as Keeley warmed to the idea. “Thanks girls.”
“What are friends for?” Vidette said, gathering up Keeley’s clothes and carrying them off.
Dominika guided Keeley back onto the couch and poured her another mimosa and a glass of water. “Just leave everything to us. Make sure you drink water too.”
Vidette came back and they all settled into reminiscing about school. It was nice, the perfect distraction. At least until a much more urgent distraction made itself known. Keeley had to clamp her legs together to ward off a sudden, massive urge to pee.
“I’ll be right back…” She said as she got up, only to have her friends intercept her and step close.
“One sec, we haven’t done a group selfie yet, and the light is perfect.” Vidette said, holding her camera up.
“Uh, if it’s quick.” Keeley said nervously. She felt like she might burst at any moment. There wasn’t any way out with the coffee table right in front of her and Dominika’s arm on the small of her back.
“Say beach house!” Vidette said.
“Beach house!” Keeley said in a strained voice. She tried to pull away after Vidette took the picture but Dominika held her firmly.
“Wait, I think my eyes were closed, do another one.” Dominika said.
“Girls I…” The camera snapped just as a look of horror crossed Keeley’s face.
It didn’t make sense, she’d gone from barely needing to pee to losing control in a matter of minutes. Still half-disbelieving it, Keeley stared helplessly at Vidette’s phone while liquid gushed into her panties and tights.
“Oh no, did you just wet yourself?” Dominika said, with no subtly whatsoever.
“Hon, are you okay? You’re kinda just, going for it.” Vidette said.
To her horror, Keeley realized that Vidette was right. There was nothing stopping the flow. She wasn’t just leaking down her thighs, she was dripping right onto the carpet. The shock of it kept her frozen.
“Don’t worry hon, we’ll take care of you, just like we said we would.” Vidette said, taking Keeley’s arm.
“Let’s go Keeley.” Dominica said firmly.
The first few wet uncomfortable steps snapped Keeley out of her shock. She was still going! Little spurts of pee were falling on her feet as she walked and the wet had traveled halfway up her butt.
“I can clean up.” She said, a humiliated blush spreading across her face.
Her friends ignored her, Vidette still had tight hold of one arm and Dominika was behind her with her hands on Keeley’s waist. Nervousness and indecision warred in Keeley as she was guided down the hall. The last of her copious accident was finally out. They passed the bathroom, again with no explanation.
Keeley stumbled behind Vidette into a spare bedroom. She didn’t realize what they’d pushed her up against until she was already bent over it. While Keeley’s revelation sank in, Dominika yanked down her skirt, tights, and panties all together.
She was bent over a table about waist height, made of light wood with a light rail around the outside. There was a padded mat along the six foot length of it in bright primary colors. On it’s own it was blatant enough, but the stacks of folded plastic and padding in the built-in shelves really gave it away.
“Is this a fucking changing table?!” Keeley cried out.
Vidette was on the other side of the table, holding Keeley’s forearms to keep her bent over the table. “That’s right hon. We didn’t expect this part of the game to start so soon but we prepped beforehand just in case!”
“You’re not going to put me in a diaper!” Keeley shouted, struggling against Vidette’s grip. The whole thing was absurd, nuts!
Smack! Keeley gasped, going silent in surprise as the sting spread across her rear. Dominika spanked her again, then twice more. Keeley yelped at the last two.
“Ow, stop! Stop it!”
“I told you, we’re going to take care of everything.” Vidette said with an encouraging smile.
“Including making sure you get what you need, if you want it or not.” Dominika said. “Now, are you going to climb up on the table or do you need more spanking?”
“You guys can’t, you can’t do this.” Keeley whimpered.
“Aww Keeley.” Vidette said sympathetically. “You’d better behave. Dominika is serious, she’ll turn your butt purple if you don’t obey.”
This was completely crazy. Keeley thought. She craned her head back to look at Dominika and caught sight of a raised hand. Flinching, she crawled up on the table. Her friends wasted no time, rolling her onto her back and pulling her hands above her head. Before she could process it all, Keeley found her wrists secured by pink leather cuffs.
“Uh, guys?” Keeley said hesitantly. “If you wanted to do a kinky sex thing we don’t need all this weird stuff. I’m up for it. Really.”
“I told you Keeley.” Vidette said sweetly. “We have a game we want to play. If you play along with us we’ll all have a lot of fun together.”
“And if you resist,” Dominika added, “it’ll be Vidette and I having most of the fun. But it’ll still happen.”
“But, but why?” Keeley whimpered, tears leaking out of the corners of her eyes.
“I think you’ll like it if you give it a chance.” Vidette said, unbuttoning Keeley’s blouse and rubbing her belly.”
“You think I’ll like being in a diaper?” Keely asked in disbelief.
“I think you’ll love being taken care of and fussed over for a couple of days.” Vidette said, lightly tickling Keeley’s sides.
Any response Keeley might have had was cut off by a pair of cuffs descending from the ceiling on a pully. She watched in disbelief as Vidette and Dominika cuffed her ankles and pressed a button to raise the pully. Now with her legs up in perfect position to be diapered, Keeley blushed again. She tried to cover her face but the cuffs on her wrists wouldn’t let her.
“Let’s get you cleaned up.” Vidette said. “I’m sure you’re feeling icky after that accident.”
While Vidette wiped her rear, Keeley closed her eyes and tried to find something to distract her from what was happening. That ‘accident’ had come on really fast and strong. Dominika and Vidette and pounced her as soon as she got up like they were expecting it. On top of that the mimosa tasted weird…
“Did you bitches give me something to make me pee!?” Keeley demanded.
Vidette paused in her wiping, making eye contact with Dominika. They both burst out laughing. Keeley was all but positive now that she was right.
“Oh Keeley, don’t go blaming your little baby accidents on us.” Dominika said. She fished one of the diapers off the shelf below Keeley and spread it out. “Don’t worry, we have you covered.”
“This isn’t fair!” Keeley whined, kicking her legs futilely.
“Shhh, don’t be fussy now.” Dominika said.
Keeley opened her mouth to let Dominika know that she was NOT fussy, and a lot more than that. She got a pacifier shoved into her mouth for her troubles.
“Don’t spit it out, or I’ll get the one that has straps like a gag.” Dominika said.
Making as big a pout as she could around the pacifier, Keeley lay back and tried to relax. Just because her friends knew she liked being pushed around didn’t mean they could do this kind of stuff to her. It was a little hot but that wasn’t the point. They’d made her pee herself in front of them, and now Vidette was wiping her privates.
A shiver ran down Keeley’s body. She sucked on the pacifier to try to cover her reaction. Nobody had had her this helpless in a long time. That’s all it was. A light pinch on her breasts made her open her eyes and gasp. Dominika brushed her fingertips across Keeley’s bra and smirked at her.
Ugh! Keeley thought as she squirmed. Why couldn’t this just be a regular kinky bondage sex thing?
Finally clean to Vidette’s satisfaction, Keeley felt her butt lifted as the ankle cuffs rose. A diaper went under her and she was lowered onto it as the cuffs came all the way back down to the table. The smell of baby powder made Keeley whimper. Her friends worked together to pull the diaper up and fix the tapes in place.
Before she had time to get used to her new underpants, Vidette and Dominika both pounced her. Dominika was tickling Keeley’s side while Vidette blew a raspberry on her belly. Uncontrollable giggles burst out of Keeley. The pacifier rolled off her cheek and to the side.
She waited for Dominika to say something about her dropping the pacifier, but it didn’t come. Instead, they uncuffed her wrists and stripped the uniform blouse off her. Off balance from the tickle attack and everything else, Keeley let them pull another garment over her head and arms.
Once it was on they cuffed her arms again, apparently not leaving anything to chance. Not like they couldn’t overpower her together anyway, Keeley grumped. Her grumps redoubled when her new top was pulled down past her waist and snapped together between her legs. It was mostly white with little giraffes printed on it.
“A baby’s onesie, really?” Keeley protested. She didn’t fight her restraints, since there didn’t seem to be much point.
“Baby clothes for our baby girl.” Vidette said with way too much enthusiasm.
“Okay Keeley, we have some rules for you. All you have to do is agree to follow them and we’ll go back to having fun.” Dominika said.
“Rules?” Keeley frowned.
“Yup. First off, no taking off your diaper. It’s best if you don’t really touch it. Only Vidette and I can change you.”
Keeley rolled her eyes but didn’t bother to protest. She assumed they wouldn’t want her undoing all the effort they’d gone to.
“Second, you use your diaper to potty. This one shouldn’t be too hard, it’s just like peeing in your panties, and you’re good at that.”
“Hey, that was your fault!” Keeley said. “I never peed my pants before!”
“Except at Cochella that one time.” Vidette said.
“And during that hike up Bald Mountain.” Dominika said.
“Oh yeah, and the time you got really wasted clubbing at The Looking Glass.” Vidette added.
“True, also when we were having a sleepover at Jaclyn’s and we covered for you.” Dominika said.
“Okay, okay, I get it.” Keeley blushed and closed her eyes as tightly as she could.
“Glad we cleared that up.” Vidette said, getting a snort-laugh out of Dominica.
“Anyway, third rule. You don’t have to poop in them, but you can’t go to the bathroom on your own if you need to do that. You have to ask one of us to go with you.”
“What? But I – “
“AND if you don’t have to go number two when we get there, we’ll leave you in a diaper until you DO poop in it. You’re not to use those trips to get out of being a potty pants.” Dominika finished.
Keeley whined and pouted, but it had no effect on either of her friends.
“Finally, you can’t do stuff on your own. You have to ask us for food, drinks, using the TV, all that stuff.”
“You can’t make me follow all these stupid rules!” Keeley yelled.
“Probably not.” Vidette said with a shrug. “It’d be a lot of work if you really fight us.”
“Yeah, so if you don’t play along we’ll just leave you tied up here and bring you food, change you when you’ve pooped.” Dominika said relentlessly.
“You wouldn’t.”
“We’d rather not!” Vidette said with another saccharine grin. “We’ll have way more fun if you come with us and play.”
“How will I have fun?” Keeley pouted.
“Because we’ll be doing all the cooking and cleaning.” Dominika said with a smirk. “Waiting on your baby butt hand and foot.”
That part DID sound fun. Keeley had to admit, but only to herself. The rest of it was super weird though.
“Girls, why all this?”
“It seemed fun, and it already is.” Dominika said with a grin.
“You are SO super cute like this.” Vidette said. “Come on, it’ll be just like playing dress-up as kids. Only this time you’re the kid and we get to play with you.”
With a sigh, Keeley shrugged. They were super invested in this. There was no stopping these two when they got a project in mind. She still didn’t understand why they picked this particular project, but it looked like she was in for a weird vacation.
“Fine.” Keeley said reluctantly. “But you better be super nice to me to make up for all this.”
“Of course! Good babies get all the attention, treats, and snuggles!” Vidette said.
“Bad babies get spankings though, so don’t be bad.” Dominika said.
They uncuffed her wrists and ankles and waited expectantly. Gingerly, Keeley sat up and looked from Vidette to Dominika. No sign of them letting her in on the joke or ending the game. She rolled her eyes.
“Okay, let’s go play.”
“Yay!” Her friends said in unison.
They each took a hand and marched her out to the living room. The odor of Keeley’s accident was pretty strong, making her blush again. Vidette took her aside to the other couch while Dominika got out some stuff to clean up the mess.
Dang, they are committed to this. Keeley thought. That might be the first time Dominika had cleaned up something gross.
Vidette sat down and pulled Keeley down across her lap and against the arm of the couch. Holding Keeley, Vidette kissed her forehead. It had been weird enough to be diapered on that changing table. Feeling the padding around her butt in the more normal context of the living room was really confusing.
The snuggles were nice at least, Keeley supposed.
“What do you want to do first?” Vidette asked. “We could do a brunch. There’s always the beach. It’s early in the day but we could watch a movie. Or if you really want to get into the baby thing, I have some coloring books for you.”
That last suggestion didn’t even deserve a response. Keeley frowned at one of the others though. “Uh, the beach? You’re not going to take me out of the house like this are you?”
“Not in just a onesie.” Vidette said, in faux shock. “You’d freeze. We have a cute one-piece snowsuit for you with a hood and built in mittens.”
When Keeley looked at her friend in disbelief, Vidette laughed.
“Oh you can find so much cool stuff online or in specialty stores. We couldn’t get a stroller in your size in time, which was too bad.”
“Oh darn.” Keeley said, squirming. “Uh, never mind the beach. Brunch sounds good.”
“That’ll take both of us to set up.” Vidette looked over at Dominica, who was putting the cleaning supplies away. “If you want to mind her, I’ll get the playpen set up.”
“Mind me?” Keeley frowned. “Playpen?”
All her protests were playing right into her friends’ game, she knew. At the same time, how do you not protest being put in a playpen?
“Yeah, it’s a really nice one.” Vidette said excitedly. She handed Keeley over to Dominica and rushed off to find the playpen.
Dominika pulled Keeley across her lap and right up against her ample breasts. Before she could process that, Keeley felt Dominika pat her padded crotch.
“How’s the diaper, nice and comfortable?”
“Yeah, I guess.” Keeley said, torn between hiding her face and not mashing it into Dominika’s cleavage.
“It is huh? That’s good. You’ll be wearing them the whole time we’re here.”
“Can’t we play something else at some point?” Keeley asked.
“No way, we spent a lot of time setting this up.” Dominika said. “We’ve been talking about doing this with you for ages.”
“What? Why?” Keeley tried to squirm away from Dominika, but ended up straddling her lap instead.
“I don’t know. You’ve had more accidents than most people.” Dominika said. “And you seem less grown up I guess? I mean, Vidette and I both have careers. Or our parents set us up with a career, same difference. You’re just kind of – still partying.”
“So that means you can just push me around and put me in diapers?”
“We’re not just trying to be mean, we want to take care of you. You always get into trouble when your parents go on a big trip. If we hadn’t taken you on this trip, what would you be doing right now?”
Coke with Zach. Keeley thought, wincing at her own brutal honesty. “But that doesn’t…”
“You agreed with me.” Dominika said with a smirk. “And you love the attention. We’re going to be totally focused on you, this whole trip.”
That thought made Keeley squirm. It was way more intimate than if they’d just tied her up and made her go down on them. It was really sweet what they were doing, in a way. It was also really fucked up in another way. Still, she supposed she could humor them for a while.
Some muffled banging noises had been going on for a while in the back hallway. Vidette finally emerged, pushing a huge, brightly-colored playpen. It had to fold up a bit to squeeze down the hall, and when it expanded it dominated the living room.
“You girls are crazy.” Keeley said.
“Crazy about you, baby girl.” Dominika said. “We’ll get you a couple of blankets and some stuffies to play with while we make brunch.”
Stuffies! Keeley suddenly missed her chonky rat stuffy from her childhood. The day she started prep school her mom had declared stuffies to be for babies, and boxed them all up. Keeley had only liberated Gordo from the box once. Her mom had threatened to throw all the stuffed animals away, so in the box poor Gordo stayed.
Self-conscious due to the crinkle generated with each step, Keeley let herself be lead to the playpen and put in. The blankets they brought were super soft and the floor of the pen was nicely padded. It’d be good for a nap at least while her friends cooked.
“Alright, we got a couple of new friends for you.” Dominika said, dropping a brand new triceratops, dog, and bear into the pen.
“And here’s Gordo.” Vidette said, opening a paper bag and pulling out a scruffy, over-plump gray rat.
Keeley’s vision blurred instantly. She snatched the rat out of Vidette’s hands and crushed him to her chest. He even smelled right. Dusty, but right. “Where? How?”
“Your servants don’t care what your mom thinks when she’s not around.” Vidette said. “They were happy to find him for me. He was in some box in a storage room.”
Overwhelmed, Keeley flopped on the floor of the playpen. The rush of memories was so strong she almost put her thumb in her mouth. Luckily, she just managed to stop herself. Her friends would never have let her live that one down.
Blinking away tears, Keeley looked up at Vidette. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome, cutie.” Vidette said, with a ridiculous grin.
She could be as proud of herself as she wanted, Keeley thought. Gordo was back. Not even being handed a baby bottle full of water could dampen Keeley’s mood.
“Drink it all while we’re cooking.” Dominika said. “Don’t want you getting dehydrated.”
Because you drugged me. Keeley thought, sticking her tongue out at Dominika.
Her friends waited, smirking. Finally Keeley rolled her eyes and sucked on the bottle. The rubble nipple was weird, but the water was nice and cold. She was thirstier than she’d realized. So thirsty, in fact, that she drank almost a third of the bottle while her friends watched in delight.
“What a thirsty baby!” Vidette said. “I’ll refill it for you in a bit.”
Keeley retreated under her blanket with her rat and bottle. That got more laughs but it was very cozy. It also hid her enough that her friends stopped staring and got started cooking. Alone together at last, Keeley snuggled Gordo fiercely.
Whatever brunch was going to be, it smelled good. Keeley polished off the bottle and whispered to Gordo, still hidden under the blanket. There was a lot to catch him up on. It felt weird and embarrassing to be talking to her stuffie again. She kept waiting for her friends to make fun of her for it.
At the same time, this is what they wanted. If they caught her talking to Gordo, she could say she was just playing along.
“I really missed you.” Keeley whispered to Gordo. He burped in response. Keeley barely managed to catch her giggle before it escaped.
Silly Gordo.

Baby Girl Project: Beach House 2
“Wake up Keeley.”
Someone was shaking her. Rude. Keeley yawned and grumbled.
“Go away.”
“Come on baby girl, wake up.” That sounded like Vidette.
Keeley opened her eyes, frowning as her memories filtered in. Her friends had decided to play some insane game that had ended up with her in a playpen – and a diaper. At least she’d gotten to see her old stuffie Gordo. Sadly playing with him wasn’t the same as it had been when she was a kid.
With nothing better to do, she’d fallen asleep in the playpen while her friends cooked Brunch – oh, there was probably food now. Keeley sat up and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. It smelled like bacon, eggs, ham, and other good stuff. Did that mean that one of her friends actually knew how to cook? They wouldn’t have let a caterer in the house while she was dressed like a baby, would they?
“Goodness, you were out like a light.” Vidette was still way too excited about this whole thing. She rubbed Keeley’s face with a damp washcloth that smelled faintly of butter.
“What was that for?”
“You were drooling, baby. Come on, we’ve got food all ready for you.”
The playpen had a trampoline-like floor suspended a couple of inches over the carpet. Keeley got to her feet unsteadily, leaning on Vidette. Still waking up, it took her a moment to spot the new piece of furniture in the kitchen.
“A high-chair, really?” Keeley said, though she didn’t stop Vidette from leading her over to it.
“Of course, can’t have you falling out of your chair during meals.” Dominika said.
Keeley shook her head and climbed into the chair. It was dumb, but a big step down from the diaper in terms of embarrassment. Vidette set the tray in position and reached under to close some kind of latch. While scoping out the brunch table in an effort to ignore Vidette’s shenanigans, Keeley was caught off guard by a pair of fingers slipping under the crotch of her diaper.
“Woah, hey!”
“Still dry!” Vidette announced. “Great job. I’ll check you again after brunch.”
Keeley rolled her eyes. She was not going to use her diapers. They’d tricked her with something in her mimosa earlier, but that didn’t mean she was going to keep wetting herself. It might be impossible to get them to give up on their stupid game completely, but there were limits.
Of course she wasn’t allowed to use anything but her hands to eat brunch. Not that it really mattered, a lot of it was finger food anyway. Keeley concentrated on enjoying the plate of fruit, bacon, and frittata that Vidette had made up for her. She ignored the baby-bottle full of water. Drinking a whole bottle before her nap had been plenty. The food was surprisingly good, especially since it seemed like her friends had actually cooked it. Keeley’s cooking skills stopped at popcorn, unless you counted choosing between food delivery and catering services.
Being a ‘baby’ had one advantage. After brunch Keeley was put back in her playpen rather than having to help clean up. She listened in amusement to her friends softly arguing about how to prep the plates for the dishwasher. Apparently they weren’t quite as practiced at dishwashing as they were at cooking.
Her friends bickering was the perfect cover to sneak over the stretchy wall of the playpen and head down the hall. The bottle of water she’d drunk before brunch was on its way out and Keeley wasn’t interested in wearing it. If she could quietly use the bathroom and get back in the playpen before her friends were done cleaning, she’d have hours to figure out how to convince them to dial back their game.
It was the perfect plan, worthy of Keeley’s genius. Unfortunately, even really good plans had problems with mice. Or something like that. Keeley hadn’t paid much attention in English class. School-stuff aside, Keeley’s plan had run afoul of the fact that the bathroom door was locked.
Frowning, Keeley rattled the doorknob. Since when did bathroom doors even lock from the outside? She was about to check further down the hall to see if the master bedroom had an attached bath when a voice behind her made her jump.
“What’cha doing?” Dominika asked.
“And here I argued that we wouldn’t have to do this because Keeley would keep her word once she agreed to something.” Vidette said with a sigh.
“I told you, it’s going to take some discipline to get her behaving.” Dominika said.
“I’m not going to pee in these!” Keeley said, stamping her foot. “It’s gross and it’s stupid. I’ll play your stupid baby game but I’m not doing that!”
“Keeley.” Dominika shook her head. “You know you’re in trouble, right? Vidette, help me grab her.”
Despite an attempt to dodge, Keeley was quickly pinned to the wall with one friend grabbing each arm. Her struggles were useless, the most she could do is keep herself from falling over as she was marched back to the changing room.
One more bout of thrashing kept her away from the dreaded table for a few moments. Her friends hung on with ease. Maybe she should have joined them when they started working out.
Already tired from struggling, Keeley found herself bent over the changing table with her arms stretched out to each end. Both wrists were secured, one by a wrist-cuff and the other by a leg cuff. The table apparently had leg cuffs attached in addition to the ones that came down on the pully.
It was a stupid-kinky piece of furniture, Keeley thought with a hysterical giggle. Where had they even had it made? How had they described it?
Dominika unsnapped Keeley’s onesie and pulled her diaper down to her thighs. Keeley whimpered, pleading with her best puppy-dog eyes at Vidette.
“Oh honey, I don’t want you to get spanked either.” Vidette said, stroking Keeley’s head. “But we were super clear on our rules and now we have to follow up.”
“No please don’t!” Keeley ended her sentence with a yelp as Dominika’s hand landed on her rear.
It wasn’t just a couple of smacks this time. Keeley got a half-dozen slaps on each cheek before she lost count. Dominika wasn’t hitting super hard, no individual slap was going to leave a mark at least, but they just kept coming. Stinging warmth was spreading across Keeley’s cheeks, while tears dripped onto the changing table.
A final pair of harder slaps on her rear signaled Dominika taking a break. Keeley rested her head on the changing table’s padding. Her whimpers had become soft sobs. As much as she should be just as mad at Vidette as she was at Dominika, it was hard to be upset with Vi when she gently wiped Keeley’s snotty nose and her tears with a soft cloth.
“Please don’t let her hit me any more.” Keeley whimpered at Vidette.
“Aww baby, it’s going to be okay.” Vidette said, patting Keeley’s head.
“Do you think she’s had enough?” Vidette asked Dominika.
“I doubt it.” Dominika said. “I should give her twenty more, at least.”
Keeley whimpered. “No please.”
“She seems really sorry.” Vidette said. “I think that’s enough for now. It was a mistake, wasn’t it Keeley?”
“Yes.” Keeley nodded vigorously.
“Can you tell Dominika that you’re sorry?” Vidette asked.
“I’m s-sorry Dominika.” Keeley said.
She was sorry too. Sorry that she’d gone for the bathroom instead of her phone. Her parents were out of town but she could get a hold of Zach. He could be here in an hour and put an end to this madness.
“Hmmm, I don’t know.” Dominika said, rubbing Keeley’s butt hard enough to make the girl flinch.
“I believe her. I think we should give her another chance.” Vidette said.
“Fine.” Dominika sighed. She pulled Keeley’s diaper back up and snapped the onesie up. “But you better behave.”
Vidette gently released the cuffs and helped Keely stand up. “I’m sure she will. Won’t you, baby?”
“Y-yeah.” Keeley nodded.
“Great!” Vidette smiled. “I think it’s naptime. I know you just had one, but I bet you could use another one, huh baby?”
Keeley nodded. She was a little emotionally exhausted and was sure she looked it. She let her friends take her back to the playpen and tuck her into the blankets. As tired as she was, even snuggled up to Gordo and pretending to breathe slowly, she refused to fall asleep.
Little sounds in the kitchen accompanied the end of brunch cleanup. Dominika and Vidette were talking softly, then more loudly as they bought Keeley’s ruse. It wasn’t about their plans for the game. They were just catching up on each other’s jobs and lives.
Keeley continued to breathe softly and shift under the blankets every few minutes. If she knew her friends, she had a chance soon. She’d counted at least four more mimosas for each of them at brunch. Any minute they’d be yawning.
“This game is a lot of work.” Dominika said, with a huge yawn.
“Way more fun than I expected though.” Vidette said through an answering yawn.
Keeley kept her jaw locked to avoid joining the yawns. She considered adding a soft snore but decided that would be too much. It wasn’t worth the risk when her moment had nearly arrived.
“You think it’s safe to nap?” Dominika said.
“She is out cold again.” Vidette said. “She didn’t really sleep last night, I’m sure we can take a power nap. Just set an alarm.”
“Yeah, okay.” Dominika yawned again.
Vidette yawned as well, then laughed. “Yeah, let’s get a cat nap in or we’ll be exhausted when she wakes up. Gotta sleep when the baby does, right?”
“Haha, exactly.”
It took a seeming eternity for the girls to finally get off the couches and wander off to their bedrooms. Even after they had, Keeley waited. She wouldn’t put it past those tricky b-words to be waiting at the hallway entrance to catch her faking.
Eventually her patience wore out. Keeley peeked out from under the blankets carefully. No sign of her friends. She ventured a little movement, rolling over to the playpen wall to peer through the mesh. Still nothing.
Standing up very carefully revealed an empty living room and a silent beach house. As carefully as sneaking into her mom’s room at night for a credit-card, Keeley stepped out of the playpen and rummaged through Vidette’s purse.
Past the makeup, Cliff Bars, and inside a hidden zipper pocket was her phone! Keeley showed it her face and it flashed open. There were notifications from Zach and the last one was even recent. She was saved!
Thumbing the text messages open, Keeley started typing a plea for help right away. She had finished ‘Zach you have to come get me at Dominika’s beach house’ and was trying to figure out how to explain what was happening. While she pondered, another message came in from Zach.
It was a picture of a plastic bag full of brown powder. Keeley shuddered. Why would he even send her that? She’d tried smack exactly once and it had been a literal nightmare. Sicker than she’d ever been, Keely had woken up with a day missing from her memory and a disturbing amount of clothes gone. Zach assured her that nothing bad had happened but even if he was telling the truth, the stuff she did remember was bad enough.
Scrolling up through the messages she found more pictures. A bag of white powder. Shots of a massive bar in somebody’s house. Memes about how wasted they were going to be. Interspersed between the pictures were boasts about how great the weekend was going to be, and pleas for her to text back so she could ‘get in on this’.
Keeley’s stomach churned. Her eyes teared up. She bit her lip to hold back the tears but it didn’t work. The cry she’d had after Dominika spanked her felt like nothing now. There was an icky ball of emotions in her stomach.
Five times she crafted a text to send to Zach. Just as many times she erased the message. Zach wasn’t going to care about anything but getting coked out of his mind right now. Keeley held her phone with trembling hands until she heard a pair of alarms faintly down the hall.
Wiping her eyes, she waited for her friends to come out to the living room. They were pretty quick about it, it wasn’t five minutes after the alarms that they appeared in the hallway. As messed up as their game was, it was kind of heartwarming how diligent they were at checking on her.
“What the hell is going on?!” Dominika said, hands on her hips.
“Just wait a minute!” Keeley shouted.
There was more emotion behind it than she expected, and enough volume to make her words echo off the sparsely decorated walls. Dominika and Vidette both paused in surprise.
“Just – just listen to me.” Keeley said. “I could fight you, this whole time. I’m mad at you for this stupid game and I could make it not fun for anybody.”
“But?” Vidette ventured.
“But… maybe if it wasn’t so intense… maybe I would play along.” Keeley said. “If I got to have some say in the rules.”
“Why should we trust you? You literally break the rules every time our back is turned.” Dominika said, folding her arms over her chest.
“Did you message Zach?” Vidette asked. She didn’t sound upset. There was tender concern in her voice that threatened to start Keeley crying again.
“No.” Keeley said. “He – sent me a bunch of messages. His weekend is um, getting wild.”
Dominika’s stern face relaxed. She sighed. “That guy is total trash. Come on Keeley, you’re way better than that.”
Focusing on the carpet so she wouldn’t have to meet Dominika’s gaze, Keeley pushed Zach out of her mind.
“So uh, what about we still um – play, but it’s not so hardcore?”
“What do you have in mind?” Vidette asked.
“I don’t want to use diapers.” Keeley said, pressing her legs together. If this conversation didn’t end soon she was going to do it at least once.
“That one isn’t negotiable.” Dominika said. “It’s one of our… shit, you never took business classes. Look, there are these things in negotiations called red lines. It’s stuff that one side can’t or won’t give up. That’s one of our red lines.”
“Well then… one of my red lines is that I’m not going to – you know, use them for the other thing.”
“We already told you that you didn’t have to, hon.” Vidette said.
“But you have to make sure that I don’t!” Keeley said. “I can’t do that, it’s too gross. So if you’re going to be taking care of me, you have to actually take care.”
“Heh.” Dominika shrugged, then nodded.
“Yeah, we can do that.” Vidette said. She stepped out of the hallway and sat down on the coffee table in front of Keeley. “That’s a big part of the point of this game. Taking care of you.”
“Okay and uh, I don’t want to be treated like a baby.” Keeley said.
“Hon, that’s the game.” Dominika said, standing next to Vidette.
“I mean, not like a baby-baby.” Keeley sighed. “Uh, two year olds still wear diapers. But they get to do more stuff than babies.”
Vidette raised her brows and looked up at Dominika. She got a shrug in response.
“Okay, I think we could work with that. So uh, what kind of stuff do you want to be able to do?”
“I want to be able to use a fork and stuff when I’m eating. Um – and I don’t want to drink from a baby bottle. I want to be able to have input in the stuff we do while we’re playing. Oh, and I want to pick what I wear.”
“That sounds okay, with some caveats.” Vidette said. “Like, helping pick your clothes is fine but it’ll be from choices we give you.”
“Okay I guess.” Keeley said, wincing and pressing her legs together more tightly.
“I think it’s fine for you to ask to do things, but if we give you kid-stuff to do, then you have to do it. Like if we need to go do something and we give you a coloring book, you color in it instead of wandering off.” Dominika said.
Keeley nodded. That was an easy one. She used adult coloring books for relaxation at home anyway.
“We need to add some stuff on too then, if you’re going to be a little more independent. You can wander around the house if we haven’t put you in your playpen or to bed, but you can’t go outside, okay?” Vidette said.
“Yeah, that’s fine.” Keeley said. She wasn’t in a big rush to go outside in a diaper, even if the beach house was secluded.
“Also, you were faking being asleep, huh?” Vidette asked.
“Yes.” Keeley didn’t see any point in denying it.
“Okay, no more of that. Same as with the kiddie play-time, if we put you down for a nap you stay where we put you.” Vidette said.
“I can do that.” Keeley said. It sounded like she was going to get a lot of sleep in the next couple of days. Honestly, the idea was appealing. There had been way too much drama lately with friends way before this game started.
“When we tell you to do something, you have to do it, or get punished by a spanking.” Dominika said. When Keeley frowned, Dominika added, “If you don’t fight the spanking I won’t make them hard like the last one. Plus, if you’re a good girl you won’t get spanked at all.”
Keeley sighed deeply. “Fine. Are you going to spank me now?”
“I think this is kind of a reset on the game, what do you think Nika?” Vidette asked.
“I guess so.” Dominika rolled her eyes, though she smiled after. “Oh and I didn’t say earlier but you still have to use the high chair. I can budge on the bottle but you have to use a sippy-cup.”
“You have one of those too?” Keeley chuckled. “You girls went nuts buying stuff.”
“Wait until you see the rest of it.” Vidette said, bouncing excitedly.
“So uh, are we okay?” Keeley asked.
“Yeah, I think so.” Dominika said.
“Yes sweetie, I think we have it worked out.” Vidette said.
“Um, then maybe since this is a reset I could use the bathroom just once before we start again?” Keeley asked, squirming on the couch.
“No way.” Dominika said. “You might as well get used to it now anyway.”
“Don’t worry baby, we’ll take care of your little accidents.” Vidette said.
Despite her caring tone it was super embarrassing. Doubly so when she patted Keeley’s cheek. Keeley pressed a hand to the crotch of her diaper and whimpered.
“I can’t, I just can’t do it.”
“Sure you can, just relax hon.” Vidette stroked Keeley’s cheek and neck.
“You’ll be used to it in no time.” Dominika said, firmly pulling Keeley’s hand out from between her legs.
She was NEVER going to get used to it. Keeley was sure of that. There really wasn’t a way out though. Technically she had negotiated this with her weirdo friends. A massive shudder ran down Keeley’s body. A blush blossomed on her cheeks as wet bloomed in her diaper. It was hot just like last time but more contained.
Instead of the instant clammy feeling of wet panties and tights there was a spreading warmth around her crotch and rear. Tears sprung into Keeley’s eyes and were gently wiped away from Vidette.
“Good job baby, there’s our good girl.” Vidette cooed. It was dumb, but Keeley found herself enjoying the praise despite the situation.
“That wasn’t so bad, was it?” Dominika said. It wasn’t really a question.
Keeley’s heart pounded while her diaper filled. As her body finished the diaper’s absorption caught up to her ‘accident’. The soaking feeling was replaced with a sort of wet squishiness.
It was oddly comfortable, Keeley thought. Immediately she shied away from that thought. Of course it wasn’t comfortable, she was sitting in her own pee.
“I think we better get our little girl changed.” Vidette said. “Are you going to be a good girl and let us change you?”
Keeley nodded. Not that she wanted to be in a diaper, but a clean one was a hell of a lot better than a wet one.
“In that case I’ve got this one unless you want to come along, Nika.” Vidette said.
“Knock yourself out.” Dominika said. “I’ll finish setting up her bedroom.”
“What’s going on with my bedroom?” Keeley asked while Vidette lead her by the hand to the changing room.
“Just some upgrades to match the game.” Vidette said.
“You bought more baby stuff?” Keeley laughed, obediently climbing up on the changing table.
“We spared no expense for our baby-Keeley!” Vidette said.
When Vidette popped the snaps of the onesie open, Keeley felt her diaper sag and shift. She didn’t have long to focus on that odd sensation before Vidette had the onesie pushed up and was stroking Keeley’s belly.
“You girls are so weird.”
“We are having the time of our life.” Vidette said. “I think you’ll have fun too now that you’re playing along.”
“Yeah right.” Keeley rejected the thought out of hand. Enjoying being a baby would be way too weird. She was just going to think of it as a really bizarre rehab retreat. At least she didn’t have to eat cockroaches like they did on that ‘spirit journey’ in Arizona that Vidette had booked.
Still, she sighed in relief when Vidette pulled her wet diaper away and wiped her down. This time she applied some kind of lotion before the powder went on. It was soothing, as was the vanilla scent of the powder. Keeley yawned.
“Sleepy? You should have taken your nap when you were supposed to.” Vidette teased.
“I can nap whenever I want to.” Keeley asserted cheekily.
“Not if you’re a toddler you can’t.” Vidette wrapped a new diaper snugly around Keeley and taped it up. Smiling at her handiwork, she patted Keeley’s crotch. “You have a defined naptime and you skipped it. If you get fussy later it’s your own fault.”
“I am not going to get fussy.” Keeley pouted.
“You’re a little fussy right now missy.” Vidette said. “Do you want to see the pretty outfits we got for our girl?”
New clothes, even kiddie-ones, were always a plus. It’d mean getting out of the embarrassing onesie too. Keeley nodded. “Yeah, let me see.”
Vidette chuckled. “I’m not going to bring them in here. You’re a big girl, you can walk with me.”
Blushing, Keeley let Vidette take her hand and followed her friend’s lead. To her surprise, their destination was her bedroom. If you could still call it her bedroom. The bed itself was gone. In its place was a massive, adult-sized crib. The front side of the crib was down, and looked like it could be locked when pulled upright.
Her nightstand was gone too, replaced with a primary-colored set of plastic drawers. On further investigation her suitcase was gone too. Not that they would have let her wear anything in it anyway. The closet was open and sported an assortment of pink, white, and purple little-girl’s dresses. Everything looked to be Keeley’s size. She was sure it was. Hopefully her name hadn’t been mentioned to whoever made the clothes, just her measurements.
“When did you – you changed the whole room!” Keeley stumbled in the last couple of steps, pulled out of her shocked stop by Vidette.
“Vi handled most of the brunch cooking, I was working on this.” Dominika said. “It was kind of loud but you were crashed out.”
“It’s handy you’re such a good sleeper.” Vidette said.
Keeley blushed. She tried to let go of Vidette’s hand but Vi didn’t let go. “I really have to sleep in that?”
“We just talked about this.” Vidette said. “You’re a big girl, remember? You can sleep in your own room, you don’t need your crib in my room or Nika’s.”
Keeley squirmed. Dominika was grinning like the Cheshire Cat. They were having way, way too much fun with this. If all her questions were going to end in teasing, maybe she should ask less of them.
“Anyway, we’re here to get Keeley dressed. You want to pick two outfits, Nika, I’ll pick two, and Keeley can choose one?”
Dominika nodded and put down the screwdriver she’d been using on the crib. Vidette sat Keeley on the floor and made for the closet. In short order Keeley had four outfits spread out in front of her.
Dominika had chosen two dresses, one of them was a pink Disney-princess-print smock made of soft cotton. It looked comfortable but short. The other was a white satin and lace thing with a poofy skirt. It looked like something kids would wear to church on Easter.
Vidette had chosen a dress too, a faux-designer black and white checked dress. Double faux, since it was a sized up kid’s dress. Faux-faux. Keeley managed to stifle her giggle but couldn’t quite conceal a smile. The last outfit was a pair of green shorts with a drawstring and a sleeveless white blouse with flowers printed on it. The arm holes were ruffly.
None of the outfits offered much in the way of dignity. Keeley decided to weigh them on comfort. Technically the pink dress would be the most comfortable, but it looked like it wouldn’t hide her diaper. Making her diaper less obvious was a big part of comfort.
“I want this one.” Keeley said, touching the shorts and blouse combo.
“Good choice!” Vidette said, flashing a grin at Dominika.
Dominika responded with a friendly glare. As if the game wasn’t enough, they were being competitive about it. Keeley rolled her eyes at her weird friends while they stripped her onesie off. It was weird to be dressed but at least they let her stand for it. Vidette kneeled to tie the drawstring on the shorts and pronounced her done.
“The outfit looks good on you.” Dominika conceded. “Okay Keeley, we have some play-time before our afternoon plans. What would you like to do?”
Despite being deeply, nervously curious about the afternoon plans, Keeley pushed her curiosity aside. They weren’t likely to answer her anyway.
“Can we watch a movie or something?”
“I think there’s time for a movie.” Dominika said. “Let’s see what Disney Kids has.”
Walking to the living room with her friends and not having to hold their hands felt like a victory. That was a sad commentary on the state of the vacation if she’d ever heard one. It wasn’t all bad, she supposed. There were a couple of Disney movies out that she hadn’t had a chance to see yet. Normally her friends wouldn’t go to those with her.
There was a fun make-believe aspect that was creeping in as well. Keeley wouldn’t admit it to her friends, but the outfit wasn’t bad if she thought of it as a costume. Sitting with one of her friends snuggled up to each side was comforting too. Even the sippy cup, embarrassing as it was, was full of sweet apple juice that hit the spot.
While Dominika browsed the movies with a bowl of popcorn in her lap, Keeley realized there was just one thing she needed to make the movie perfect. The only problem was she was wedged between her friends. She’d have to ask to get up or ask them to get it for her. Either way she’d have to admit that she was playing along with their dumb game.
Maybe that would be okay. Keeley considered. She could cooperate now, get something she wanted, and maybe get another embarrassing restriction off later for good behavior. It seemed like a good plan, but it still took some time for her to work up the courage to ask.
“Um, Vi?” Keeley asked hesitantely.
“Yes sweetie?”
“Can uh – can you get Gordo for me?”
“Of course I can.” Vidette beamed.
Dominika was grinning too. Keeley blushed and smiled a little. It was just as embarrassing as she’d expected, but it looked like it had the effect on her friends that she’d hoped for as well.
Holding Gordo tight to her chest, Keeley spotted one of the movies she wanted to see. “I want to see Turning Red!”
“I’d rather watch Encanto.” Dominika said. “It has way better reviews.”
Keeley pouted. She was about to protest, but realized that she’d just get teased for being a fussy kid. On the other hand, they had been teasing her about that all day anyway. She might as well get some milage out of it.
“I want to watch Turning Red. I’ve already seen Encanto.” Keeley whined.
Dominika looked over at Keeley and frowned.
“Nika, Keeley suggested watching a movie, why don’t we let her pick?” Vidette said.
Dominika shook her head and smiled wryly. “Alright, I guess we should let the kid choose.”
“I win!” Keeley crowed, giggling.
She got some laughs and her hair ruffled for that, but nothing more. As the opening credits rolled for Turning Red, gears were turning in Keeley’s mind. Maybe there was a way to power-bottom this whole baby game.

Baby Girl Project: Beach House 3
After the movie her ‘caregivers’ put Keeley on the floor in the living room with a coloring book. They were having a discussion as to what Keeley should call them, because they didn’t think ‘girls’ was respectful enough. Now she had to respect them too? As if!
Since she was already opting out of the whole caregiver thing, Keeley tuned out the discussion and got started on her coloring. Compared to an adult coloring book, her Disney princesses book wasn’t much of a challenge. The movie she’d just seen gave her a great idea to spice things up.
Instead of filling in blocks of color, she drew in extra details to make the book look like MeiMei’s drawings, or Keeley’s own from when she was a teen. Princes and princesses alike started sporting sixpacks, crop tops, and bedroom eyes. The silliness put a grin on Keeley’s face. She was tapping her feet to the beat of the pop song from the movie, totally absorbed in the art, when Vidette tapped her on the shoulder.
“Look at you being a little artist. Hey Nika, come see what our baby girl drew!”
“Wow, I didn’t realize Belle was up for rocking that look. If her prince sees that he might just turn back into a beast.” Dominika said.
“I especially like the way you did a cutaway skirt so she can show off her garter.” Vidette said.
“It’s just some doodles.” Keeley said bashfully.
“Nonsense, you’re a talented kid!” Vidette said, ruffling Keeley’s hair.
“You can do some more later.” Dominika said. “It’s time to get you in your beach outfit!”
“I thought that was a joke.” Keeley said. “You can’t really take me outside like this!”
“It’s a private beach.” Dominika said. Taking advantage of her friend’s distraction, she tugged Keeley’s shorts off.
“Don’t worry sweetie, you’ll be with us the whole time. We won’t let you wander off and get lost.” Vidette said.
“No, no really. Don’t do this. Please. Can’t we just stay in the beach house?” Keeley begged. “It’s still April. The beach is going to be cold anyway.”
“You need some fresh air. Give me your feet.” Dominika worked something plastic onto Keeley’s legs.
Keeley looked down and froze in horror. Dominika was putting bright pink plastic pants on her.
“No! You can’t make me go out in those! They’re so obvious!” Keeley’s voice quavered and her eyes were tearing up.
“Now we see why you should have taken your nap.” Vidette said, stroking Keeley’s hair. “No need to freak out little girl. We have pants to go over those.”
“I don’t wanna go to the beach.” Keeley whimpered.
“Uh oh, that sounds like a baby to me.” Vidette looked up at Dominika. “I don’t think we’d take a baby to the beach, but we wouldn’t let her wear big kid clothes and she’d have to drink out of a bottle, right?”
“That’s right.” Dominika said. She’d secured the plastic underpants around Keeley’s waist with a drawstring. Next was a pair of toddler-esque denim joggers with elastic on the cuffs.
“That’s not fair.” Keeley said in a little voice with a big pout. “You promise we’ll stay on the private part of the beach?”
“Nobody wants to go on some big beach jog.” Dominika said with a chuckle. “Vi and I are going to read our books and enjoy the waves.”
“So, what do I do?” Keeley asked.
“We have all kinds of fun sand toys for you!” Vidette said eagerly. “We’ll take you down to the water at least once too.”
Keeley rolled her eyes. Dominika was putting her in socks and boots now. They obviously weren’t going to let her dress herself. She decided to pretend she was a princess with servants instead of a baby. Overall, the outfit wasn’t terrible. The jeans looked bad up closely but they covered the plastic underpants and diaper well. From a distance they’d just look like unfashionable beach stuff.
“We probably should have asked before we dressed you, but how’s your tummy?” Vidette asked, stroking Keeley’s belly.
“Uh, fine?” Keely said, confused.
“You don’t feel like you need to go poopy?” Vidette asked. “Not now, or soon? We’ll be on the beach for a while.”
“Uh, no.” Keeley blushed and turned away. “Could you be more embarrassing?”
“I remember being told that we had to watch out for you with that.” Vidette said. “So, I’m taking care of you. Don’t worry about going potty. We have a changing bag all packed.”
Keeley squirmed. There it was. The outfit wasn’t bad but there had to be something super embarrassing along for the trip. Resigned to her fate, she let Dominika put her in a coat with built-in mittens and stand her by the porch door.
By the time her friends had grabbed their stuff they looked like they were going on safari. Each of them had a beach bag. In addition, Dominika had a cooler and Vidette was carrying a wrapped up blanket. On top of that Vidette had the changing bag, which of course was in baby print with blocks and letters. Vi was the overloaded one, carrying a mesh bag of sand toys on top of everything else.
“Alright, let’s just get you secured and we’re good to go.” Dominika said, holding out some kind of brightly colored rope.
It took a minute for Keeley to realize what it was, mostly because she didn’t want to believe it at first. An adult-size child-leash and harness.
“That’s not necessary!” Keeley protested. As per usual, Dominika finished putting it on her despite Keeley’s protest.
“Of course, it is. It’s a big stairway down to the beach, and the water is dangerous.” Dominika said. She picked her bags back up, holding the retracting end of the leash in her free hand.
“Everybody will feel better knowing you’re safe.” Vidette said.
Keeley tried a few more half-hearted protests as she was ushered out the door but ultimately there wasn’t much she could do. It’s a harmless game, she thought. As long as nobody else sees it’s harmless and it’s taking my mind off of Zach.
She trudged down the stairway that doubled-back on itself down the cliffside. The sea air felt nice. As the sound of the waves permeated her thoughts, she relaxed more and more. It was always a nice intro to the beach to take the stairs down, though of course they always took the elevator back up.
Since Keeley was in front on the stupid leash, she hit the sand first. Around the stairs it was dry and ultra-fine, shifting under Keeley’s feet. She scampered out on the sand with a little squeal. A gust of wind caught her coat and pushed her a few feet to the side. Keeley ducked her head to escape the wind and caught sight of a beautiful sand dollar.
Her rush to the sand dollar was abruptly stopped by the harness digging into her chest and shoulders. She looked back to see that Dominika and Vidette were still a ways behind her.
“Slow down there kiddo! That’s all the leash you’ve got.” Dominika called over the wind.
Vidette took a couple of jogging steps to catch up to Keeley. “Did you find something sweetie?”
“Uh, a sand dollar.” Keeley said. It burned a little to get caught playing the part of the eager kid. Especially since she always ran ahead of her friends when they hit sand.
“Oh, very pretty. You can save that one in your pocket if you want.” Vidette said.
“It’s fine.” Keeley said. “It’s broken anyway.”
“I’m glad you’re so excited. I know you love the beach.” Vidette said. “You want to pick us a good spot? Someplace with a little bit firmer sand but that has a tree or a rock for a wind block.”
Keeley chewed her lip, feeling conflicted. Her friends were getting really bad with talking to her like a little kid, Vidette especially. On the other hand, she desperately wanted to pick the beach spot. They never let her pick the beach spot.
Deciding to take the sliver lining when it was offered, Keeley nodded and headed toward the waves. Neither rocks nor trees were going to be hard to come by. After all, Dominika’s beach didn’t get manicured for tourists. The real challenge was finding one that had a lot of comfortable space to spread out nearby.
Every couple of minutes Keeley would misjudge the distance she could wander and get a fresh embarrassing jolt when she reached the end of her leash. Despite it all, she was having a lot of fun. Careful looking up and down the beach, revealed that there wasn’t anyone around. Little critters popped out of any rock her boots overturned. There was enough sun to keep the wind from totally freezing her out, though Keeley was glad for her coat.
Finally, she rounded a huge tree trunk that had washed ashore and found a paradise. Quality sand, for a New England beach, had drifted into the lee of the log making a soft rolling carpet. There was firmer sand past the log on the sea-side for making sandcastles. Not that Keeley wanted to make those, but she was sure her friends would insist. There were even a couple of flat rocks to set the cooler and food on.
“I found it!” She cried out eagerly, waving to Dominika and Vidette. “It’s perfect, come see!”
“Good job.” Dominika said when she caught up to Keeley.
The grudging respect in her voice made Keeley’s grin spread from ear to ear.
“This IS perfect. Good job sweetie!” Vidette said. Even her excited baby-sitter tone couldn’t bring Keeley down.
It took a few minutes and some cursing to get set up. A patch of sand had to be stamped down for the blankets and their corners secured with rocks. The cooler and their bags were tucked against the tree to keep them completely out of the wind. A couple of big gusts almost took their blankets and sand toys away, but Dominika and Vidette managed to sort everything eventually.
“Let’s check your diaper and then you can go play.” Vidette said.
Keeley wrinkled her nose while Vidette put her hand down the childish jeans and wormed it under the plastic underpants. Without the ability to see the diaper, Vidette settled for squeezing it over Keeley’s crotch. Keeley squirmed and blushed, feeling her nipples harden under her restrictive sports bra.
“You seem dry to me!” Vidette said, extracting her hand. “You can go play, but don’t leave our sight, okay?”
“You mean build a sand castle?” Keeley asked.
“If that’s what you want to do hon.” Vidette said, patting Keeley on the cheek.
“I mean, that’s why you brought those toys right.” Keeley shifted from foot to foot. She’d been sure that they were going to force her to make a sand castle.
“If you don’t want to that’s okay. You can stay on the blankets with us as long as you don’t bother us while we’re reading.” Vidette said.
“Sounds boring. I’m going to make a sand castle.” Keeley said defensively.
“Whatever you want, baby girl.” Vidette grinned and flopped down on her blanket.
Dominika was already into her book and had a glass of sangria. Keeley watched Vidette pour herself a glass from the thermos and sighed. Sangria sounded really nice.
“Hey can I get some of that before I do my thing?” Keeley asked, pointing at the thermos.
“That’s for grown-ups.” Dominika said. “We’ve got some drinks and snacks for you though.”
Keeley stared with sour expression as Dominika pulled out a juice box and a Ziplock bag of cheerios.
“I’d really rather have some – wait, are you saying I can’t drink this whole weekend?!”
“Not grown up stuff.” Dominika said firmly. “It’ll be good for you. When’s the last time you went a weekend without alcohol?”
“That’s not – you’re mean!” Keeley was past caring how childish that sounded. She grabbed the juice box, the sand toys, and headed away from her snickering friends.
If Vidette and Dominika thought she was going to go a whole beach house weekend without drinking they were crazy. She was for sure sneaking some of that stuff after they went to sleep. Maybe if she was really lucky, she could get it into a sippy cup during the day too. The cup would hide whatever was in it. Genius!
Building a haphazard sand castle washed the grumps out of Keeley little by little. There were plenty of splinters and bits of bark from the tree laying about. With a little ingenuity the strips of bark tied the splinters together to make little wooden people.
Keeley had quite a little community of stick people going by the time the juice boxes kicked in. She ignored the feeling at first. After all, having to hold it was normal for the beach. As the feeling got more pressing, Keeley sighed and looked back toward Dominika and Vidette.
They were absorbed in their reading, but they weren’t napping. There wasn’t any chance of sneaking past them to the elevator to use the bathroom in the beach house. She was stuck having to wet again. The first time it had come on really strong what with the car ride, mimosas, and whatever her friends had done. The second time they’d pretty much ordered her to wet herself.
Now she was sitting off by herself holding on to an increasingly painful bladder and she wasn’t sure why. Well, it was gross and embarrassing, obviously. It was also going to happen sooner or later, which made being uncomfortable seem dumb.
Checking again to make sure that her friends weren’t watching, Keeley laid down on her belly and tried to go. Nothing happened. Both of the previous times she’d been absolutely bursting. Trying to force or push herself wasn’t doing anything except frustrating her and making her bladder even more painful.
Finally, she drew herself into a squatting position. As soon as her legs opened, she could feel an accident near. Closing her eyes, she tried to relax. Her mind wandered while she waited. The last time she’d wet a diaper sprang to mind. For some reason that opened the floodgates.
Without an audience to be embarrassed of, Keeley sighed in relief. It was still dumb, weird, and embarrassing but it was really nice to have that pressure gone. She opened her eyes and caught Vidette looking her direction. Hastily, Keeley dug in the sand. That’s all she was doing, yep, digging in the sand.
Returning to her project, Keeley winced as the wet shifted around her crotch and rear. Last time she’d been changed right away. Not that she was going to go back to the blankets and ask for one. They’d do another stupid diaper check soon enough anyway.
The diaper did its job and wicked away most of the wet. Whenever she wasn’t moving it was just mildly damp and a bit bulkier than before. Any sitting or stretch that mashed the padding would freshly wet her skin before the liquid was re-absorbed. The longer it had been since she’d wet the clammier and colder those wet spots got. Keeley took to kneeling with her butt gingerly held in the air as much as possible.
“How’s it going Keeley?” Vidette asked.
Her friend’s sudden appearance spooked Keeley up and back onto her butt with a wet squish.
“Uh, fine.”
“Let me see what you made.” Vidette crouched down next to Keeley. “Oh, this is so good! I love the little stick people. You’ve been really busy over here.”
“Thanks.” Keeley said bashfully.
“You’re such a creative girl.” Vidette said. She leaned over to kiss Keeley on the head.
“You really like it? You’re not just saying that for the dumb game?” Keeley asked.
“I really do!” Vidette said, smiling genuinely. “I would never have thought of the stick people. You even tied the bark so that it looks like they have little dresses on. It’s really cool.”
“Thanks again.” Keeley said, digging at the sand with one finger. “And uh, for not making fun of me about that.”
“Hey, I’m here to take care of the whole Keeley, mind and body.” Vidette said.
“You keep embarrassing me.” Keeley accused.
“It wouldn’t be so embarrassing if you’d just let yourself go and be a kid.” Vidette said. “You kind of did during the movie and you had a lot of fun.”
“You and Nika will never let me live it down if I do that.”
“Says who? We’re the ones who set up this whole game. We put you in diapers knowing we’d have to change them. We’re all equally weird this weekend.”
“Only one of us has to pee her pants.” Keeley grumped.
“Somebody’s a little grumpy-pants.” Vidette said. “What’s really going on? You hungry? Need to be changed?”
A change would be really nice, Keeley thought. She couldn’t make herself ask for one though. The embarrassment would probably kill her straight-up. Instead, she seized on the other option.
“Do you have any snacks besides cheerios?”
“We do! We’ve got some string cheese, orange slices, and Oreos. Those last ones are just for good girls though.”
“I’m being a very good girl!” Keeley whined.
“You’re being a mostly good girl.” Vidette said with a laugh. “Come on, let’s get you another juice box and something to eat.”
Vidette offered her hand. Keeley took it without thinking. Once Vidette had helped her up she kept hold of Keeley’s hand, leading her back to the blankets.
“There she is. How’s it going Keeley?” Dominika asked.
“It’s okay.” Keeley shrugged.
“She made a really cool sand castle. You’ll have to check it out later.” Vidette said. “Right now, it’s snack time.”
“I will.” Dominika said. Despite the hard edge Nika had built up since taking a job, she seemed pretty sincere about wanting to see Keeley’s sand castle.
Getting on the blankets apparently required Vidette to sit Keeley down and strip off her boots. Scooching across the blankets to end up between her friends she felt very off-balance and childish. In fact, she was so flustered that she tried to open her string cheese with her mittens. Vidette took it out of her hands without a word and opened it, even peeling a mitten off and putting the string cheese in her hand.
Keeley blushed and ate her cheese and oranges. She drained another juice box almost instantly. They didn’t really hold up to an adult thirst. Vidette passed her another juice box. Keeley was reminded of the wet padding she was sitting on. At this rate she’d have to go again before they went back to the beach house. She wasn’t sure she wanted to find out what it was like to wet the same diaper twice. Even so, better that than asking to have her diaper changed.
The only way out was forward, though the snacks. Dominika declared that there could be no Oreos until Keeley had eaten two string cheeses and all the oranges. The four cookies Keeley got when she’d finished her ‘healthy’ snacks felt like a victory. She savored them slowly while polishing off the second juice box.
“You going to go finish your sandcastle?” Vidette asked.
“It’s pretty much done.” Keeley said.
“Then we can go for a walk on the beach, or you can take a little nap in the sun with us.” Vidette said.
Both sounded good, but Keeley’s belly was pretty full at the moment. “Maybe a little nap.” She said. “If we can walk after?”
“Sure! We won’t go back to the beach house without going down to the water.” Vidette said.
Keeley curled up on the blanket. Dominika pulled Keeley’s hood over her head and pulled the drawstring a little, so it’d stay in place. It felt like being tucked under the covers. For a blissful moment she didn’t resent the game. It had been a long time since anyone but Zach had given her so much direct attention. Her friends were a lot sweeter than he was too.
Keeley opened her eyes to an odd scene. She was sitting at the kitchen counter in the beach house, with Gordo on the next stool. He grinned at her through a mouthful of chips. She was just about to chastise him for getting his fur all dirty, when someone tapped her on the shoulder.
Turning, she saw Zach. Or rather, she saw Zach’s face coming at her. The kiss was rough and a little clumsy. It was still hot though. There was always a sexy wild edge to Zach. He didn’t even taste like an ashtray this time, just a hint of salt.
It seemed like Zach had said something, but Keeley couldn’t remember the words. He had a bag in his hand full of pills, mushrooms, and assorted colors of powder. He kept pointing at it and saying something, but the ocean was so loud. It had to be a big storm to be so loud up at the house.
Dominika and Vidette were pushing Zach away. They were jabbering at him while he tried to talk over them. None of them made any sense, they were all drowned out by the waves. As the three of them drifted away across the living room, she realized she had to pee.
Keeley hurried down the hall. Her need was getting more urgent with every step. By the time she reached the bathroom she didn’t have time to even close the door. A sort of fancy twirl-slide-pants-down maneuver got her butt on the seat just as she let go.
The relief was amazing. She might have missed just a bit at the beginning though, because her legs felt a little damp. Dominika was in the doorway, blatantly staring at her while she did her business.
“Go away.” Keeley said.
“Wake up.” Dominika said, barely audible over the waves.
“I’m not asleep.” Keeley protested.
“Yes you are little girl.” Dominika’s voice was getting louder like she was on a microphone. “Get up now, come on.”
The bathroom was getting indistinct and dark. A window burst open, and a gust of wind whistled through. Keeley blinked and rubbed her eyes.
The beach blanket swam into focus in front of her. She was sprawled out between her friends, bundled up in a coat and some ridiculous kiddie jeans. Slowly, Keeley worked her tongue across her dry mouth and stretched.
“Finally.” Dominika chuckled. “Welcome back little girl.”
“I’m not a little girl.” Keeley protested sleepily.
There was uncomfortable wetness not just in her diaper, but on her upper thighs as well. She wondered if it had rained or something while she was sleeping.
“I’ll be the judge of that.” Dominika said. She had Keeley’s pants down to her knees before Keeley could do more than grunt in protest.
“You are soaked! See Vi? If it wasn’t for the plastic undies, she’d need a change of pants too.”
“I didn’t say it was a bad idea.” Vidette said. “Just that we could check her more often instead of using those.”
“Wait, what are you – you can’t change me here.” Keeley said. It was an effort to prop herself up on her elbows with her limbs still heavy from her nap.
“Yes we can sweetie.” Vidette said. “And you really need it! I’m a little surprised those plastic panties even worked with as much as you’re leaking. They were a good buy.”
“Somebody’s going to see!” Keeley whined loudly.
Dominika made a big show of looking around the empty beach. “You’re right, there is a seagull over there. Don’t worry, I’ll send the Men In Black to erase its memory.”
“No, stop!” Keeley curled up in a ball, covering her waist defensively.
“You’d rather sit there, marinating in your own pee?” Dominika asked.
“Maybe she likes it.” Vidette said. “I don’t think we ever asked if she’s into sitting in pee.”
“I don’t like it!” Keeley whimpered. “It feels gross.”
“Then let us change you.” Vidette said.
“But we’re outside!” Keeley said. It was starting to make less and less sense even to her, but she couldn’t make herself give in.
“Outside and alone. But if you want a choice, I’ll give you a choice.” Dominika said. “You can have a diaper change, or a spanking and a diaper change. You pick.”
“Come on Keeley, be a good girl.” Vidette said reasonably. “It’ll be a quick diaper change if you let us help you. Then we can go down to the water.”
Feeling defeated and confused, Keeley’s protests died on her lips. When Dominika grabbed her ankles, she let her friend pull her legs straight and part them.
“There’s my good girl!” Vidette said, taking a seat next to Keeley’s chest and looking down at her. “I know you’re embarrassed, so let’s take your mind off that. What do you want for dinner tonight?”
Dominika loosened the plastic pants and stripped them off. They left a streak of wet to Keeley’s knees. Worse, the leak they’d been holding dribbled down Keeley’s thighs and dripped onto the blanket under her. Keeley teared up and squirmed, only to have her legs grabbed by Dominika again.
“Come on now, pay attention to Nanny Vidette.” Vidette said. She leaned over Keeley’s torso, propping herself up on an elbow. It effectively pinned Keeley and blocked her view of the diaper change at the same time.
“Nanny?” Keeley frowned.
“Yes! That’s what we decided you should call us. We’re not ready to be moms yet, but we can’t have you going around calling the people in charge of you ‘girls’. You can call us nanny, or Nanny Vidette and Nanny Dominika. You can even say nana if you’re feeling really little.”
“That’s dumb, I don’t want – mmph.” Keeley glared at Vidette, silenced by Vi’s hand on her mouth.
“If you’re going to be a grumpy-pants on top of a potty-pants maybe you need a wet-nurse instead of a nanny.” Vidette said.
“That’s gross, you’re gross.” Keeley said, though she was laughing now.
“Then be a good girl and listen to your Nanny. What do you want for dinner?”
Dominika tore the tapes open on Keeley’s diaper and pulled it open. The relief in getting the sopping padding off her was as much as relieving herself in the dream. With the sea air and the breeze there was hardly a smell too. It might not be the worst thing ever to be changed outside. As long as outside was as empty as it was now.
Keeley sighed and focused on Vidette. “I don’t know what stuff you gir…” She paused at Vidette’s warning expression. “What stuff you nannies brought for dinners.”
“We have the stuff to make spaghetti, DIY pizzas, and we have hot-dogs to grill. Though it’s a little cold for grilling.”
“Are there meatballs for the spaghetti?” Keeley asked.
“There sure are sweetie. Is that what you want?”
“Yeah.” Keeley said shyly.
“Then that’s what baby girl will get.” Vidette stroked Keeley’s hair.
Further down, Dominika was diligently wiping away at Keeley’s skin. The wet had gotten everywhere, from her waist down all over where the diaper had been, to her upper thighs. Dominika was getting every bit of her clean, way more tenderly than Keeley would have expected.
Bizarrely comforted, even though she was airing her bits out on the beach, Keeley wrapped her arms around Vidette as much as their awkward position would allow. She was rewarded by Vidette shifting herself into a proper hug.
“Feeling a little touch starved little girl?” Vidette asked, stroking Keeley’s cheek.
“Maybe.” Keeley said softly. “We used to snuggle all the time.”
“I remember. Every time we got together and especially on sleepovers. You were such a good snuggler.”
“Yeah.” Keeley said wistfully.
She didn’t even think to protest the fresh diaper that Dominika put under her, even lifting her hips automatically for it.
“You know, that’s why we slept together that first time, in prep school.” Vidette said.
“Huh?” Keeley said, blushing. Dominika was putting lotion on her now, and along with the turn the conversation had taken she was getting a little warm down below.
“You were always climbing into my lap. My hormones were raging, and I had just figured out I liked girls. I was sure we were going to be the very best lovers and have a million gay babies.”
Keeley giggled. “We had fun.”
“Yes we did. I’m glad we stayed friends after the breakup.” Vidette leaned in for a kiss and it landed maternally on Keeley’s cheek.
She wasn’t sure which kind of kiss she’d wanted from Vidette. Both maybe. With Dominika moving on from lotion to powder she relaxed again and cuddled closer to Vidette.
“You know,” Vidette whispered conspiratorially, “If you want to be a total snuggle-bear this weekend you can. You don’t have to feel weird about it, ‘cause you’re just paying along with the game, right?”
That put things in a whole new light. Non-stop snuggles were not worth being diapered, but it was at least an upside. If she was going to be diapered anyway, and she’d mostly given up on that fight, Keeley might as well reap the rewards.
“Really? You’ll snuggle me any time I want?”
“Just about.” Vidette said. “Nika will too, I’m sure. Any time you want to be close just find a nanny and ask us to snuggle. Or just crawl into our lap.”
“Okay.” Keeley couldn’t keep a happy smile off her face. Didn’t want to, even if it was a win for Vidette.
She didn’t mind. Vi could rack up all the wins she wanted if they included Keeley getting snuggles. With her new diaper taped up and her pants back on, Keeley felt great. Way better than she would ever admit to her ‘nannies’ that she felt in a diaper.
“All set baby girl.” Dominika said. “Can you put your sand toys back in the bag while we pack everything up?”
“We’re leaving the beach?” Keeley asked.
“Don’t sound so disappointed.” Dominika said with a chuckle. “We’re still going down to the water, I just want to pack everything first. Besides, I thought you didn’t want to come down here in the first place.”
Keeley stuck her tongue out at Dominika. Boots back on, she found her stick-people colony and shoved the sand-caked toys into their mesh bag. Briefly, she considered kicking the castle over. It would be fun for sure. On the other hand, Vidette had thought her splinter people were really cool. They might visit the beach tomorrow too, which would let her expand the village.
Waving goodbye to the wooden people, Keeley sat on the gnarled roots of the driftwood tree and waited for her friends. Her ‘nannies.’ She tried to remember the last time she’d had a nanny. Madeline, her name had been Madeline Noel. Technically an au pair and not a ‘nanny,’ because nannies were for little girls.
Mom hadn’t wanted Madeline to stick around too long either. She’d stayed a year and got a job taking care of one of Keeley’s friends. Keeley sighed sadly. It had ended her friendship with Rollie. It felt weird going over to his house and seeing Madeline taking care of him, even if she was still super nice to Keeley.
She’d been jealous, Keeley could finally admit. Mom hadn’t replaced Madeline with anybody, making Keeley the first girl in her middle-school without a nanny. Now she had two of them. Two dumb, crazy nannies, who had decided that their almost twenty five year old friend needed to be in diapers.
Keeley smiled fondly at her friends as they came around the driftwood tree. Crazy and dumb as they were, they were forever-friends. The only ones that had stuck with her after she dropped out of college. Sure, there were other people to hang out with, but they seemed to only last six months or so. Dominika and Vidette had four-year-old playdate cred.
“You weren’t kidding, this is really cool!” Dominika said, leaning over the sand castle. She picked up one of the little wooden people to inspect it. “Does this one have a skirt? How’d you make a skirt out of shredded bark?”
Keeley wiggled in her seat and grinned. “It’s an artist’s secret!”
“No shit.” Dominika put the splinter lady carefully back in her place. “You know you could do art for real, right? Like your stuff is actually good.”
“Eh.” Keeley shrugged. “It’s not though.”
“It’d have more polish if you practiced more.” Vidette said. “But your art makes people feel things. Not everyone can do that.”
“You guys.” Keeley said bashfully.
“That’s nannies, remember?” Dominika said, approaching with the child-leash.
Keeley rolled her eyes. She didn’t resist the harness. “Fine, Nanny Dominika.”
“Good girl!” Dominika said.
Keeley bit her lip. Dominika had just called her a good girl while holding her leash. She had some things to think about now. Some – interesting things.
“Alright, let’s go say hi to the ocean!” Vidette said.
Another blast from the past. Keeley couldn’t help but grin and hop to her feet. They’d always run to the ocean right away to say hi on beach trips as kids. Her eagerness carried her down the beach to the limit of her leash. Even then, she tugged at it until she had a laughing Dominika jogging to keep up.
Ridiculous as Keeley’s boots were, they were perfect for splashing in the waves. That did not stop her from getting her jeans wet though. Between the enthusiastic splashing and going in far enough that Dominika had to haul her back by the leash, her jeans were soaked in salt water past the knees.
It was too soon when Vidette declared it time to go back. It would have been too soon no matter when she called it. Keeley was in a good enough mood to admit that. The sun was on its way down and the wind was really punctuating the cold from her wet jeans.
As they trudged back to the elevator Keeley’s heart was soaring. It had been an awesome day at the beach. Especially because all she had to carry on the way up was the bag of sand toys.

Baby Girl Project: Beach House 4
((Content Warning: Alcohol abuse. A character throws up.))
Keeley considered her situation as Vidette brought her a plate of spaghetti. Sure, she was sitting in a high chair, in a diaper. On the other hand, she hadn’t had to make dinner at all. It was kind of like being waited on by her friends.
“Do you want apple juice, water, or milk for your drink sweetie?” Vidette asked.
Ah yes, that was the downside. Keely looked longingly at the bottle of delicious rose wine on the table.
“Could I have some wine?” Keeley asked as sweetly as possible. “I’ve been a good girl and you really liked my sandcastle people.”
“Aww baby, no, that’s for your nannies.” Vidette said with a smile.
“Please?” Keeley begged. “I’ve been playing along with the game.”
“This is part of the game.” Dominika said. “Don’t push it or you’ll lose your sippy cup privileges.”
“Fine, apple juice.” Keeley said with a big sigh.
“What do you say when you ask for something?” Dominika asked.
Keeley rolled her eyes. Vidette had been going to the fridge but she stopped halfway.
“Apple juice, please.” Keeley said.
“Good girl!” Vidette gushed. “Coming right up.”
At least she had a fork. Eating spaghetti the way she’d had to eat her breakfast would have been a nightmare. Keeley dug in. To her delight, it was good. Really good. Obviously it wasn’t Michelin star food or anything, but it was as good as any of the bistros in Ardenthill.
“Did you gi – uh, nannies make this from scratch?” Keeley asked.
“You were here the whole time.” Dominika chuckled. “Too busy coloring to notice?”
“You could have gotten the meatballs and sauce from a catering company and just added some stuff.” Keeley said.
“We didn’t.” Vidette said proudly. “Dominika did the meatballs and I put the sauce together.”
“When did you learn to cook?”
“Cooking is an essential nanny skill.” Vidette said.
“Haha, seriously.” Keeley said. “When did you even have time with work and stuff?”
“Honestly I get more done now that I have something to do during the day than I did when I wasn’t working.” Dominika said. “You learn to make the most of your time.”
“That doesn’t make sense.” Keeley said, slurping up some more noodles.
“I didn’t get it until I started working either.” Vidette said. “Don’t worry Keeley, little girls don’t have to work.”
“Very funny.” Keeley said around the meatball she was biting into. It broke in half and bounced down her chest, landing with a splat in a pool of sauce.
Dominika and Vidette giggled. Keeley looked down at her kiddie blouse. It had big blotches of red sauce down it, with drops sprayed across the bit that met the high-chair tray.
“I’m not sure we can save that one.” Vidette said, getting up from the table. “But just in case let’s get it in the wash right away.”
“Does it matter, it’s just a costume blouse – hey!” Keeley protested.
She hadn’t really processed the implications of Vidette’s statement, until the blouse had been pulled up to her armpits. There wasn’t much struggling she could do. She’d only end up knocking her plate on the floor. Since she wasn’t keen to get another spanking, Keeley raised her arms and let Vidette strip the blouse off.
Dominika was smirking, of course. Keeley covered her breasts for a few moments then gave up. Both her nannies had seen her naked before, plus plenty on this trip. The real embarrassment didn’t come until Vidette returned without a replacement blouse in her hands.
“Hey, what about me?” Keeley asked, when Vidette sat back down to eat.
“You’re fine.” Vidette said. “We’ll wipe you down when you’re done with dinner. You can be as messy as you want.”
“I’m not messy – that was an accident.” Keeley said.
“Little girls have lots of accidents it looks like.” Dominika said. “Be a good girl and finish your dinner.”
Glaring at her nannies, Keeley decided she’d prove it was just a fluke. She’d eat every bite on the plate and not have any more spills. The nannies were talking about some work stuff that Keeley didn’t have experience with anyway. She tuned them out and concentrated on her plate.
Things were going well until she abandoned her slow, country-club eating pace. It was just so good! Unfortunately, eating faster got her bare chest sprinkled with tiny droplets of sauce. Keeley hoped her nannies wouldn’t notice. She tried to slow down again but it was agonizing. There wasn’t a big spoon to help with wrapping the spaghetti on her fork, or bread to push it against.
There was bread on the table, just out of reach. Problem solved! Keeley tuned back in to her nannies. They were going on about some kind of sorority event coming up.
“Just because the ABDU chapter doesn’t party with the Tri Delts doesn’t mean the Delta-Gs at Princeton didn’t. I don’t see why we can’t invite…”
“Can I have some bread please?” Keeley asked.
“In a second.” Vidette said, annoyed at being interrupted mid-scentence.
“Don’t interrupt, Keeley.” Dominika said.
Keeley rolled her eyes. They were leaving her out of the conversation and it’s not like there had been a lot of gaps to jump into. Probably. Not that she’d been listening.
“Where was I?” Vidette said. “Oh right, I think there’s no reason we can’t invite Porcia. She has a Little Boy of her own, she’d fit right in.”
“You’d have to talk to the board.” Dominika said, raising her hand. “That’s not the general you either. You, personally, would have to talk to them. I’m sick of trying to argue reasonable exceptions with those ladies.”
Were they going to ignore her now? Keeley wondered in frustration. All she wanted was a slice of bread. The high-chair’s tray had her backed away from the table a little but she could probably still get it herself.
Sitting up as much as she could, Keeley leaned way over. Success! Her fingers closed around a piece of bread. Unfortunately, her right breast pressed into something warm and squishy at the same time.
Jerking herself upright, Keeley looked down in horror at the huge blotch of sauce on her breast. She looked around frantically for a napkin, but her nannies hadn’t given her one. She could possibly wipe it off – except that it was too late.
Vidette and Dominika burst out laughing, staring right at Keeley. She felt her face go scarlet.
“It’s a good thing you got that blouse off of her.” Dominika said.
“I was going to make sure we put a bib on her for the next meal, but I’m not sure even a bib would help that. I think no-shirt might end up the easiest cleanup.” Vidette said.
“It’s not my fault, it was…”
“An accident!” Vidette and Dominika said in unison.
“Next time be a little patient sweetie.” Vidette said.
“Can I have a napkin at least?” Keeley asked miserably.
“We’ll hose you off after dinner kiddo.” Dominika said. She shook her head when Keeley responded with a whine. “Just finish your dinner. We have a cherry pie for dessert but you can’t have any until your dinner is done.”
Still blushing, Keeley focused on her food. Her chest was speckled with drops of sauce by the time she finished, not that it mattered anymore. The pie was good, even if not fresh-made. The nannies had picked a good bakery at least.
As a personal victory, Keeley noted that she hadn’t spilled any of the pie or gotten any on her. It didn’t seem like something she could call attention to, however. It’d be hard to get praised for being a dainty eater with the pasta sauce drying on her boob.
While Dominika washed dishes, Vidette scrubbed Keeley down, from face to belly. It felt a little unfair. She hadn’t been messy in all the places that Vidette washed. There was another issue making its presence known though, something that had Keeley’s full attention. It was time for her nannies to either keep their word, or Keeley was going to go nuclear on them.
“Um, I have to go to the bathroom.” Keeley said, wishing she didn’t have to ask. She was still stuck in the high chair though. Plus, the bathroom was probably still locked.
“Why are you suddenly worried about – oh!” Vidette said. “Do you need to go poopy, little girl?”
“Gross!” Keeley said, wrinkling her nose. “But yes, I have to go. Number two.”
“I’ll take her.” Dominika said.
“Thanks Nika. I’ll get stuff for the evening out.”
Keeley had expected that being sat on the toilet by Dominika would be the worst thing about her new predicament. It wasn’t by a long shot. Nika was still standing there, arms folded, waiting.
“Um, some privacy please?” Keeley said.
“Don’t you remember?” Dominika asked. “We have to make sure you’re actually using it for number two.”
“You could just check when I’m done.” Keeley said.
“And when you flush by ‘accident’ I’ll be supposed to believe you were telling the truth.” Dominika said. “Come on little girl, let’s not draw this out. Just go and we can get back to our evening.”
“I can’t go with you watching!” Keeley whined.
“Why not? It didn’t bother you on the beach.” Dominika said.
“I was just lying on a blanket.” Keeley said. “No way you could tell.”
“I’m talking about when you squatted down by your sandcastle.” Dominika chuckled.
“I thought only Vidette saw.” Keeley said in horror. “Um, I mean, I was just digging…”
“Uh huh.” Dominika checked her phone. “Come on hon. I don’t want to stand in a bathroom all night. From how you’re sitting you look like you really need to go.”
“You’re being so mean to me!” Keeley whimpered.
“Are you upset because you don’t know how to use the potty?” Dominika asked. “If you are, don’t worry, Nanny Vidette and I know how to help little girls potty-train.”
“You…” Keeley blew a bunch of air out, instead of some words that would have gotten a spanking for sure. As quietly as she could manage, facing away from Dominika, she did her business.
No sooner was she done than Keeley felt Dominika lifting her by her waist. She was too shocked to resist. With surprising skill, Dominika had Keeley off the toilet and bent over. Cold wipes brushed across her, cleaning her off.
“Ah – what!?” Keeley yelped, still too shocked to resist.
“All clean.” Dominika said, helping Keeley upright. “I think we can probably get you in your nighttime diaper now.”
“I can wipe myself!” Keeley said in outrage.
Her sputters and squeaks were ignored by Dominika. She had Keeley’s arm and was on the move. There was no choice but to leave her pants and diaper behind, while she followed Dominika to the changing room.
“Don’t you think you’re going too far?” Keeley asked as she lay down on the changing table.
“Keeley, if you spin yourself up into a tantrum you’ll get a spanking and go straight to bed.” Dominika warned.
“I’m not having a tantrum!” Keeley said, her voice rising.
The next time she opened her mouth, Dominika shoved a pacifier into it. Keeley glowered at her nanny, huffing and hrming around the pacifier. Against just a spanking, she might have spit it out. Going to bed at six would be actual torture though.
After a while, Keeley looked down to see what Dominika was doing. This latest diaper seemed to be more of a production. Dominika had spent extra time on the lotion and powder. There was some kind of bulky pad in-between Keeley and the diaper too.
“Whah all thih?” Keeley asked around the pacifier.
“Your nighttime diaper has to be extra thick to make sure you’re okay through the night.” Dominika said. “The booster pad will help too.”
“Ah’m noh goh-eh weh uh beh.” Keeley protested.
“Shh honey.” Dominika said. “Don’t talk around your paci. You sound like a baby instead of a little girl.”
Keeley pouted and ground her teeth against the pacifier. Maybe it would break, and they wouldn’t have packed a replacement. There was no luck on that score, at least not before her diaper was done.
The nighttime diaper was huge! Keeley couldn’t completely close her legs and was reduced to waddling awkwardly behind Dominika. As a cherry on the embarrassment sundae, Vidette was waiting for them in the living room with a one-piece pajama with built in feet.
Out of energy to fight her nannies, Keeley laid down on it and let Vidette zip her in. It was bright pink and covered in pastel-colored ponies. At least it was extremely soft. The feel of the fabric was making Keeley a little sleepy already.
“You can take that out now.” Vidette said, popping the pacifier out of Keeley’s mouth. “Did our little girl get a bit fussy on the changing table?”
“I’m not fussy.” Keeley fussed.
“That’s good news.” Vidette said brightly. “We have a game to play and a movie to watch, if you’re a good girl.”
“What game?” Keeley asked.
“Hungry Hungry Hippos!” Dominika announced, opening the box.
Keeley stared. It had been a long time since she’d played such a childish game. Even so, she remembered that neither Dominika nor Vidette had ever beaten her at it. She had been the undisputed HHP master of the entire play-group.
“Oh you are not beating me at this.” Keeley said with a huge grin. “Not even if you’ve been practicing.”
Vidette and Dominika made eye contact and giggled. It didn’t matter what they were planning. Keeley was confidant in her skills.
For the next hour, the sound of banging plastic filled the air. Keeley grinned at an increasingly frustrated looking Dominika and slapped the lever on her hippo. The last marble vanished under it’s mouth.
“I win again!” Keeley threw her arms up in victory.
“No way, it’s close this time.” Dominika said.
“You think so?” Keeley smirked. “Count ‘em.”
Vidette was smirking at both of them now. Keeley was glad she was finding something to occupy herself in last place.
“Four, five, six, seven!” Dominika counted up her marbles.
“Eleven. Automatic victory, there are only twenty marbles.” Keeley said.
“No way.” Dominika said. “You didn’t even count. That would mean Vi only has…”
“Two.” Vidette said, holding up a pair of marbles. “She’s right. Again.”
Keeley giggled and fell back on the carpet, luxuriating in the soft pajama fabric. She knocked over her sippy cup in the process, but it was empty anyway.
“Okay, I admit it. You are the best at Hungry Hungry Hippos.” Dominika said.
“I told you.” Keeley said, sitting up.
“Yeah, yeah.” Dominika said good-naturedly, as she packed up the game.
“Good job sweetie.” Vidette said. She picked up the sippy cup and shook it. “You need some more water?”
“Is it movie time now?” Keeley asked. “Can I have something besides water with the movie?”
“Apple juice or milk.” Vidette said.
“Aww, but I’m the champion.” Keeley said. She could see Vidette gearing up to say no to booze again and decided to surprise her. “How about a soda?”
“That – is fine actually. Just nothing with caffeine. We have root beer and orange soda.”
“Root beer please!” Keeley said happily.
Flush on her victory and determined to make Vidette live up to her earlier promise, Keeley arranged her nannies side by side on the couch for the movie. She laid herself across their laps for maximum snuggling. The sippy cup was actually pretty handy for that. Keeley could drink out of it at weird angles without spilling.
They settled down to watch Keeley’s choice of movie, from the limited kid selection, of course. This time Keeley went for a classic. Watching the opening to the Little Mermaid in footie pajamas and a diaper put a lot of magic back into the movie.
The only problem was that since she was laying across both nannies, any squirming distracted them both. In short order Keeley had both nannies’ arms draped over her, which was awesome from a snuggling standpoint. It was not so great for having Dominika’s forearm laying across her bladder.
She had to pee yet again. Keeley really had not appreciated how many times she peed in a day until she had to do it in her pants. In front of her friends, no less. Laying as still as she could, she tried relaxing. That didn’t work. Neither did trying to push it out. Finally a bump over her bladder from Dominika shifting position squeezed out enough that Keeley could let the rest go.
The booster pad and thicker diaper were a big upgrade from what she’d been wearing before. Keeley hardly felt wet before the padding wicked it away. When she was done, things were a little warmer down there but barely damp.
A quick peek up at her nannies gave Keeley hope that they hadn’t noticed. She couldn’t believe they both had watched her squat down at the beach. Pushing away that embarrassing memory, Keeley let herself get lost in Ariel’s world.
When the movie ended, Dominika declared it to be bedtime. Seizing on an earlier plan, Keeley didn’t protest. She even yawned. It wasn’t difficult, she actually was tired. The day had been an emotional roller coaster. She wasn’t exactly sleepy, but her nannies didn’t need to know that.
“Thanks for not fighting us on your bedtime.” Vidette said, putting toothpaste on a brush for Keeley. “I’m proud of you. You’re a super good girl.”
“Thanks nana.” Keeley said, yawning again.
Vidette seemed determined to brush her teeth for her, and Keeley decided she didn’t care. She was even a little curious as to how it would go. It was a weird, ticklish feeling. Her teeth probably got cleaner than they usually did. It also got toothpaste all over her mouth and chin. That was fine too, Keeley was getting used to having her face wiped down by now.
The only part of bedtime that was hard to just accept was the crib. It was – so much. Keeley stared at it while Vidette dropped the long side down and wondered what the hell had happened to her beach weekend.
Vidette was bring super cute about it though, and constantly telling Keeley what a good girl she was. That felt pretty nice, even as part of the weird game. Keeley crawled into the crib and wrapped her arms around Gordo.
She had to admit, being tucked in still felt pretty great. It made up a little for seeing the crib bars go back up and snap into place.
“You want me to read you a story or something?” Vidette asked.
“Huh?” Keeley shook her head. “No, that’s okay.”
“Maybe tomorrow then.” Vidette said. She actually sounded a little disappointed.
“Goodnight Keeley.”
“Goodnight Nanny Vi.”
Calling Vidette nanny got a big smile out of her. Keeley chuckled to herself. Who was the cute one in this game anyway?
Left alone in her bedroom, crib-room, whatever, Keeley stared through the bars of the crib. They’d left her a nightlight. Part of the game, of course, but it was going to make it easier to stay up until her nannies went to bed.
Keeley lay in the crib and listened to the soft roar of the waves outside. The sound mingled with the gentle rumble of voices from the living room. Every few minutes a gust of wind would howl past the house and drown both out.
It was a fantastic soundtrack for falling asleep. Normally Keeley was out the minute her head hit the pillow at the beach house. Her nannies were probably expecting tonight to be the same. They were so focused on the game, they failed to realize that Keeley had napped twice today, with no alcohol besides.
The wait was shaping up to be a long one. Without her phone Keeley was feeling a little disconnected from the time, but she was pretty sure they’d put her to bed at nine. Vi and Nika could stay up until two or three, easily. They always outlasted Keeley when the three of them partied together.
For some people, waiting in a crib would have been unbearably boring. Keeley had always prided herself on her ability to space out. As she got older she started calling it meditation and maybe that’s what it really was. Whatever you called it, Keeley’s brain didn’t need to be busy all the time. As long as she was comfortable she could just be.
An annoyingly familiar type of discomfort pulled her away from her empty-minded experience of the seaside sounds. She had to pee. Again.
Keeley sighed. The obvious thing to do was to just go and get it over with. She was wearing the super-diaper, it probably wouldn’t even be uncomfortable. The thing she worried about is that it’d be noticeable. Her nannies would jump at the chance to claim she was a bedwetter.
Little by little the pressure eroded her resolve and her reasons. It wasn’t long before she was supplying herself with rationalizations for wetting. When she realized that she’d probably be able to do her morning pee before anyone seriously investigated her diaper, she was convinced.
Convinced and wetting herself. Immediately. Keeley furrowed her brow in worry. What happened to it being so difficult to pee her pants? Was the embarrassment of doing it in front of Vi and Nika the only problem?
If that was the case, she was glad the game would be done when the weekend was over. She didn’t want to get so comfortable in diapers that peeing her pants was no big deal.
Voices in the hallway cut Keeley’s worry-spiral short. Expecting her nannies to be super thorough, Keeley closed her eyes and pretended to sleep. Her breathing was already calm from emptying her thoughts.
“I’m just going to check on her really quick.” Dominika whispered as she opened the door.
“Just don’t wake her.” Vidette whispered back.
It sounded like both of them were coming in.
“I told you.” Vidette whispered from right next to the crib.
“Yeah, out like a light. It’s only eleven.” Dominika said under her breath.
“She’s adorable.” Vidette said.
Vi’s words came out really heartfelt. So much so that Keeley almost revealed that she wasn’t sleeping. Smacking her lips together gently and rolling over would cover her mouth dropping open, she hoped.
“Yeah, a perfect cutie when she’s sleeping like this.” Dominika said. “I wish there had been a baby like this at Delta Lambda Gamma.”
Dominika too? What were they talking about? Keeley relaxed as much as she could, letting her face go slack. She felt herself wetting a little more too. So far the nighttime diaper had taken everything perfectly. It didn’t feel any more damp than after she’d wet during the movie.
“We have one now.” Vidette said.
“Maybe. I hope this works.” Dominika said.
“Have faith, sister.”
“You’re the churchgoer.” Dominika said.
“How’s her diaper holding up?” Vidette asked.
Keeley steeled herself, or rather, un-steeled herself. She was limp as a noodle when Dominika patted her diaper.
“Great. I think she wet again, but it can hold two or three more of those, easy.”
“She was so sure she wouldn’t be a bedwetter.” Vidette said, amused. Their whispers were getting less whispery all the time.
“She might have gone before she fell asleep.” Dominika offered.
“Since when does Keeley last for more than five minutes in bed awake?” Vidette asked.
“Yeah. Heh, cute.”
“Yeah, what a delightful little girl.”
“We’re getting loud.” Dominika said, dropping back to a whisper.
“It’s bedtime anyway.” Vidette said, hushing as well and yawning softly.
Keeley could hear them moving again. The door closed with a soft click. She let out a long breath. Her hands gripped the sheets in her crib angrily. Now she was a bedwetter. They’d never believe she wasn’t, unless she told them she’d been awake.
Well she wasn’t going to tell them that. Not if she wanted to sneak a drink in the kitchen. Keeley sat up and listened carefully for the sounds of her nannies brushing their teeth and getting into bed. It took ages, but eventually they called goodnight to each other and went to bed.
It wasn’t even midnight yet, Keeley realized. Who were these old ladies? She hadn’t smelled booze on their breath either, she realized. The three of them used to party hard enough to scare people that lived in warehouse-loft apartments. Now they were all – domesticated.
The hardest part was waiting for her nannies to fall asleep. She wouldn’t know for sure when they did, of course. She had to give them enough time. The only problem was, she had no way to track the time. Going empty-minded was great for passing time but not so much for tracking it.
Eventually Keeley’s patience simply snapped. The house had been quiet for a long time. She stood up in the crib and investigated the latches for the sliding side. It took some careful fiddling to get them to unlatch silently, but not snap back while she worked on the opposite side. With that done, she carefully lowered the bars and was free!
Her first steps across the bedroom floor nearly ended in a fall. The diaper and pad were doing an amazing job at keeping her pee away from her skin, but they’d done it by swelling up. No wonder Dominika could tell she’d wet. Walking involved less of a waddle and more of a wide-legged squat.
It’d be easier if she crawled, she realized. Keeley rolled her eyes. It made too much sense. They put her in an expanding diaper so that they could laugh while she crawled around the next morning.
It was a very grumpy Keeley that crawled down the hallway to the kitchen. Luckily the kitchen had plenty of stuff to turn those grumps around. She made a beeline for the liquor cabinet. In a few minutes she had tequila, vodka, and peach schnapps on the counter.
Of course, she couldn’t drink on an empty stomach. It was time to investigate the snacks. The first cabinet she opened held the jackpot, supplies for smores. Leaving the graham crackers, Keeley carted the bottles, chocolate, and marshmallows to the living room. She crawled back for mixers, returning with the orange soda, apple juice, and coke.
Now it was a party! Keeley chose a tequila sunrise for her first cocktail. Orange soda plus apple juice was close enough to orange juice. There was enough tequila in it to kill the taste anyway.
With a happy sigh, Keeley sat back and stuffed marshmallows in her face between gulps of her cocktail. In no time at all she had a very happy heat in her belly. A vodka coke followed, interspersed with chocolate. She was a discerning drinker, pairing her cocktails. Keeley giggled at herself.
By now she realized what she was missing was music. The waves and especially the wind were loud enough that she could get away with something on really low volume. The stereo was full of old dance mixes from wild weekends. Keeley picked her favorite and put it on the minimum volume.
It was so quiet she could barely hear it next to the speakers. She could get away with a few more notches. Some experimentation got her a nice banger that the wind could still drown out from across the room.
Keeley cracked open the peach schnapps and waddled back to the stereo. The diaper might be forcing her legs apart, but she could still twerk! Letting go and just dancing felt amazing. Her whole body was warm and floaty from the booze. Every song was accompanied by a couple more swigs of delicious schnapps. Letting go meant letting go. Keeley gleefully wet herself, glad to not care about anything anymore.
When the dance mix hit its stride, Keeley just had to turn it up a bit more. Then the wind got really loud, so she turned it up again. She’d hit just the right level. Or so she thought until Something New came on.
You had to crank Something New. It was the law. Keeley wrenched the volume up and pounded down a triple-swallow of the schnapps. Her diaper was super heavy, sagging a bit between her legs. That was okay. The empty schnapps bottle flashed like a glowstick in the porch lights that streamed in through the windows. Dancing went less athletic and more for sparkly hand movements.
“WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!”
Keeley staggered back against the foyer column, blinking in the sudden bright light. Dominika and Vidette were standing across the room in their bathrobes. They looked pissed. Keeley laughed. She was pissed too! In two ways!
“Keeley, what the fuck are you doing?” Dominika asked. She stormed over to the stereo and slapped the power off.
“I’m having FUN.” Keeley declared. “Fuck your game and fuck your rules. You’re not the only ones that get to have fun at the beach house.”
“Keeley, this is not good for you. How much did you drink?” Vidette asked, looking at the bottles on the coffee table in concern.
“Not enough!” Keeley laughed. “I’m still consh – cunsh – conso – awake!”
“Spoken like a damn alcoholic.” Dominika said. “You’re in so much trouble little girl!”
“Oh yeah? Who says I care?” Keeley asked, narrowing her eyes. “You’re so worried about rules, but you held me down and hit me!”
“You’re so worried about booze!” Keeley yelled at Vidette. “You drugged me!”
“I gave you a little bit of spironolactone… and maybe it wasn’t the nicest thing in the world but it didn’t hurt you.” Vidette said.
“Well this isn’t hurting me either, it feels GREAT!”
“Keeley, you get your ass back to bed right now or I swear…”
“FUCK YOU AND FUCK YOUR RULES!” Keeley screamed at Dominika. In a moment of white-hot anger, she hurled the schnapps bottle at Dominika with all the strength she could muster.
Vidette screamed. Dominika looked terrified. Nika threw herself away from the stereo and bounced off the coffee table. The schnapps bottle connected with he entertainment cabinet and shattered. There was an ugly gouge across one of the shelves. The stereo receiver had a chunk of glass stuck in its display.
Keeley stood spread-legged, panting. She stared wide-eyed at the stereo. Her schnapps-soaked brain finally caught up to the enormity of what she’d done.
Keeley wailed and fell to the floor. Her diaper compressed, squishing a puddle of pee onto her butt. She wailed again, tears flowing freely down her face.
“I’ll give you something to cry about.” Dominika growled, gingerly holding her chest where she’d hit the coffee table.
“Nika, are you okay?” Vidette asked, hurrying to Dominika’s side.
“I’M SORRY!” Keeley sobbed. “I’m sorry! I didn’t mean it!”
“I’m fine.” Dominika said. She knelt in front of Keeley. Nika’s face was terrifying. She was enraged. Keeley had hardly ever seen anyone that mad, never mind one of her best friends.
“I’m sorry! Nika!” Keeley could only force a word or two out at a time between sobs. “I’m sorry! I didn’t – mean it! I’m sorry!”
“Oh, you’re going to be sorry.” Dominika said.
“Please Nika, please!” Keeley wailed. “Don’t hate me please! Please be my friend. Nika PLEAAASE.”
Keeley fell on her face, wracked by sobs. She was feeling nauseous now too. The fact that she’d cried herself into a case of the hiccups on top of everything else didn’t help. All she could do was force out two words over and over.
“Nika, sorry. Nika, sorry!”
Dominika sighed and pounded her fists on her thighs. She took a deep breath. “I’m so fucking mad at you Keeley. You could have killed me.”
“Nika, HIC, sorry!”
“We’re still best friends. You’re in HUGE trouble. But we’re still best friends.”
“Nika!” Keeley wailed, reaching for her friend.
Dominika squeezed Keeley’s hand briefly.
“Keeley, you are a total mess. This is scary. Doesn’t it scare you?” Vidette asked, kneeling nearby.
Keeley managed to pause her crying and apologizing in the face of a much more urgent need. She stared wide-eyed at Vidette for a moment and managed to burp out the words, “Gonna puke.”
Vidette flinched, but not far enough to escape the splash-zone.
“Jesus Christ on a crooked crutch.” Vidette said.
“I can…” Dominika began.
“NO.” Vidette said. “It’s fine. I’ve already got it on me, I’m on Keeley duty. Just like old times.”
Dominika sighed. “Yeah, no sense in us both getting barfed on. I’ll clean up in here at least.”
“Thanks!” Vidette grunted. She had her hands under Keeley’s arms and was dragging her down the hall.
A dark and swirly time passed with Keeley’s head in the toilet. If Vidette’s grip on her hair was a little tight, Keeley couldn’t blame her. Especially when Vi gently wiped Keeley’s mouth with a wet washcloth between bouts.
Eventually Keeley’s stomach was empty and somewhat calm. She looked around the bathroom. Vidette was completely naked, with her bathrobe on a pile on the floor next to her.
“I’m sorry Vi.” Keeley said softly.
“It’s Nanny Vidette. Or nana. Or Nanny Vi is fine I guess.” Vidette said.
“S-sorry Nanny Vidette.” Keeley said. Playing along with the game was the least she could do right now.
“Let’s get you out of those dirty pajamas.” Vidette said.
Keeley nodded and helped Vidette strip her. She sat on the bathroom floor on her swollen diaper, feeling six kinds of miserable.
“I can take it from here.” Dominika said. “You can grab a shower, Vi.”
“Thanks Nika.” Vidette said tiredly.
Both nannies looked really tired. She’d woken them up when they’d wanted an early night, Keeley remembered. She looked up at Dominika with a hangdog expression.
“It’s punishment time.” Dominika said.
Keeley nodded. Punishment was the last thing she wanted – except for Dominika to hate her. Honestly she wasn’t sure what she would have done if Vi or Nika had thrown a bottle at her like that. She was far from sober, but she knew just how far out of line that was.
Dominika put Keeley on the changing table facedown and strapped her wrists and ankles to it. Her diaper came down off her butt with a squish that soaked her thighs.
“Vi is terrified for you.” Dominika said. “She has been for a while. We know you did heroin with Zach.”
“I’m sorry Nika.” Keeley blubbered.
“It’s Nanny Dominika.” Dominika said, not offering any softer options.
“I’m sorry, Nanny Dominika.” Keeley sniffled.
“Sorry doesn’t work anymore.” Dominika said. “We wanted to show you a game we like. Give you a weekend without booze-fueled partying. Take care of our best girl.”
“I’m sorry but it was so weird!” Keeley whimpered.
“Is it?” Dominika asked. “You almost killed me and yourself. Who’s the weird one here?”
Keeley whimpered, dripping snot on the changing table pad.
“I’m going to spank you with a hairbrush.” Dominika said in a calm voice. It was scarier than her yelling, somehow.
“It’s really going to hurt.” Dominika continued. “Then you’re going to go back in your diaper, and I’m going to lock you into your crib. There’s going to be a baby-monitor just outside your crib. Do you understand?”
“Please no.” Keeley whimpered. “Please, not the hairbrush. You c-can do all the other stuff, just please don’t spank me.”
“You don’t think you deserve a spanking?” Dominika asked.
Keeley sobbed softly. Of course she deserved a spanking. She deserved to be dumped in the drunk tank and have her friends leave her on the coast. She deserved to be in some gross warehouse with Zach.
“Well?” Dominika asked.
“I – do.” Keeley whimpered.
“Say, I deserve a spanking, nanny Dominika.”
Keeley whimpered. She tried whining. Sobs were useless too. Dominika waited her out.
“I d-deserve a sp-panking. N-nanny Dominika.” Keeley managed.
“You’re damn right you do.” Dominika said.
The hairbrush came down like a smoking brand. Keeley wailed. Every smack was a fresh touch of fire on her ass. She screamed her throat raw while Dominika thrashed her butt red. By the time it was over they were both panting. Keeley was past tears, she couldn’t feel anything but the burning of her rear.
Dominika spread some kind of cream on her that helped a little. The burn became an ache. As promised, her diaper went back up around her butt. It was still full, squishing unpleasantly on her raw butt.
The cuffs came off, but a plastic diaper cover came on, and locked with a padlock. There was no resistance left in Keeley. Not when Dominika put her back in the crib without pajamas. Not when she set up the humiliating baby monitor and pointed its camera at the crib. Even when Dominika put locking mittens over Keeley’s hands, she let it happen.
It wasn’t until Dominika folded a roof to the crib over from the back that Keeley protested. Her crib, which she didn’t like much anyway, was about to become a cage.
“Please, Nanny Dominika, wait.” Keeley begged.
“If you think I’m going to give you a chance to sneak out again…” Dominika said.
“No! Just uh…” Keeley sniffled. “I know you’re mad. With a good reason. But can… can I have a hug before you close that?”
Dominika sighed. “Damnit kiddo.” She reached into the crib and gave Keeley a surprisingly tight hug. Keeley clung back with all the strength her mittened hands could muster.
“Okay, bedtime. For real this time.” Dominika raised the crib-side and locked it to the top.
“I’m sorry, nana.” Keeley said softly, squirming under the blanket.
“Goodnight Keeley.”
“Goodnight Nana.”
The pain in her butt was still there when the door closed. So were the sounds of the wind and waves. Empty mind time was as good a way to escape the ache as any. That lasted for an uncounted while until it blended into sleep.

Baby Girl Project: Beach House 5
In the morning, Keeley’s diaper was absurdly heavy. Somehow, it hadn’t leaked. She could only hope that she hadn’t wet it more when she’d fallen asleep drunk. Her nannies already thought she was a bedwetter, they didn’t need to be right about it.
Everything was uncomfortable. Especially her bladder. That was a good thing, since it meant she wasn’t a bedwetter, even if the fix was to wet herself. Her latest wetting hardly warmed the diaper, it joined the rest of the liquid in the padding and cooled off right away. Lying any way but on her side, squished liquid onto her skin unpleasantly. There was no way to get it off, due to the plastic cover that Dominika had locked on.
Her rear ached from the spanking she’d gotten. On top of that, she had a raging hangover. The gentle rumble of the waves was more like a constant tapping on her skull. Her mouth tasted like stale barf. She looked at the mittens Dominika had locked onto her hands. They were really secure looking plastic. Unfortunate, since they were getting sweaty inside.
It might not be the very best morning Keeley had ever had.
So she couldn’t do anything about the diaper or the mittens. Fixing her headache was out of reach too. Dominika had locked the top panel onto the crib. Keeley had only tested it with her foot, but it seemed solidly fastened.
There was nothing to do, in fact. Except of course, to think about how she’d almost killed her best friend last night. Compared to the pain and guilt in her heart, the physical stuff faded to nothing. Tears would have been welcome, but they didn’t come. She was too dehydrated and cried out from last night.
“Is this rock bottom?” Keeley asked herself.
Not one for introspection at the best of times, she didn’t have an answer. All she knew was that she’d give anything to stop feeling terrible. Even have her friends yell at and lecture her. They could treat her like as much of a baby as they wanted if they would just fix everything.
That gave Keeley an idea. She looked over at the baby monitor. She could ask them to come help her. Except that the monitor was probably in Dominika’s room. The last thing she wanted to do was have a conversation when she couldn’t see her friend’s face.
She could just cry like a baby. She needed to be changed like one, after all. That’d mean no conversation. It was pretty humiliating to even think of, though. Keeley didn’t think she was there yet. Hopefully, she’d never get there either. Maybe there was a compromise between talking and crying.
“Nana?” Keeley called at the baby monitor. “Nana?”
“I’ll be right there, little girl.” It was Vidette’s voice. Keeley let out a huge sigh of relief.
Vidette took a seat on a stool next to the crib when she arrived. She hadn’t made any moves to let Keeley out yet. She looked tired. More tired than she had been last night, somehow. She set a water bottle on the plastic cribside table.
“Are you going to be a good baby today, Keeley?” Vidette asked.
“Yes Nanny Vidette.” Keeley said. “I’m really sorry. I want to tell Nik – uh, Nanny Dominika that I’m sorry. But to her, not over the monitor.”
“You’ll get a chance to apologize, don’t worry.” Vidette said. “How do you feel?”
“Hungover.” Keeley said. “I uh – need a change. Really bad.”
“You’re not still sick to your stomach?” Vidette asked. “No trouble moving your arms and legs? No shakes?”
“No, I don’t think so.” Keeley tried moving a little, wincing when her diaper squished.
“You scared the shit out of me.” Vidette said. “I had no idea you were still drinking like that. I was up checking on you five times last night. I couldn’t sleep.”
“I’m sorry.” Keeley curled up. She’d hurt both of them. “Really sorry.”
“We’re going to get more strict with the baby-game.” Vidette said. “Are you going to fight us on that?”
“What does that mean?” Keeley asked fearfully.
“Treating you like you’re even more little, and not giving you any privacy to get in trouble with.”
“Do I have to… poop in them?” Keeley whimpered. “Is that why you haven’t changed me yet?”
“No, you don’t have to do that.” Vidette sighed. “I haven’t changed you yet because I wanted to talk first. I needed to see where your head was at.”
“I don’t know why I threw the bottle at Nanny Dominika.” Keeley said, truthfully. “I was out of control. As soon as it left my hand – I realized what I did.”
“Doesn’t that scare you?” Vidette asked.
“I guess so?” Keeley said. “I mean, it scares me what could have happened to her. I don’t want to hurt either of you. I got used to throwing bottles I guess.”
Vidette pinched the bridge of her nose. “You got used to – Keeley, baby, what are we going to do with you?”
“Still be my friend, I hope.” Keeley said in a soft voice. “I don’t have a lot of friends left.”
“That wasn’t a red flag either?” Vidette sighed and unlocked the crib side, sliding it down. She leaned in and hugged Keeley tightly, heedless of the various odors Keeley was sure surrounded her.
“A red flag for what?” Keeley asked. She only met people who liked to party these days. Partiers just didn’t stick around for a long time. They were fun to hang out with, but Keeley couldn’t count on them like friends.
“You desperately need someone to take care of you.” Vidette said. “Lucky for you, there are two nannies here.”
Keeley nuzzled her face into Vidette’s neck. A big shuddering sigh wracked her chest. As much as she needed Vidette to help her get cleaned up, she clung more tightly when Vidette tried to pull away.
“I care about you too, but we need to get you up now.” Vidette said. “First things first. Water and medicine.”
“Can’t I clean up first?” Keeley whined.
“No. I want the water and Tylenol working while we do that.” Vidette uncapped the water bottle, revealing a rubber nipple. She scooted closer to the crib and rolled Keeley onto her back. “Here you go, baby girl.”
Her major screw-up was too fresh in memory for Keeley to refuse. She couldn’t stop herself from whimpering though. Vidette ignored the whimper and pressed the nipple to Keeley’s lips. She spent the next several minutes cradled in one of Vidette’s arms, blushing and sucking on the bottle.
“Good girl.” Vidette said when the bottle was empty. “Next.”
Keeley was presented with a hollow plastic spoon filled with pale pink liquid. “What’s that?”
“Children’s Tylenol. Enough to be an appropriate dose for you. Open up, it’s bubblegum flavor.”
Keeley wrinkled her nose and stuck her tongue out in a classic yuck face. Bubblegum was the worst of the medicine flavors. Once again, Vidette plowed forward. She tipped the medicine onto Keeley’s tongue and pushed her mouth closed. Keeley swallowed the gross stuff as fast as she could.
“Good girl. You’ll start feeling better soon.” Vidette stood up and put a hand under Keeley’s arm. “Let’s get you cleaned up.”
Vidette didn’t have to ask twice. Keeley was out of the crib in a flash. The mass of soaked padding between her legs pushed them apart and nearly put her on the floor. She caught her balance against Vidette.
“I think it’s better if you crawl.” Vidette said, lowering Keeley to the floor.
“I can walk!” Keeley protested.
“I don’t want to throw my back out catching you if you fall again.” Vidette said. “Come on, it’s a quick trip to the bathroom.”
Without Vidette’s help, Keeley didn’t trust herself walking. She followed her nanny at a fast crawl, grumbling as she went. At least Vidette didn’t chastise her for the grumbles.
While the water was running in the tub, Keeley’s swollen diaper finally came off. She gasped in relief to have cool air on her skin instead of muggy wet. The smell was something else. Keeley could smell a couple of flavors of funk on herself, now that she was up and moving.
Vidette brushing Keeley’s teeth overpowered the smells for a bit with peppermint. It was weird to not be embarrassed to be standing naked in front of her friend, covered in pee and other gross stuff. The feelings of being taken care of and finally getting clean were too good.
Getting into the bath prompted a big happy sigh. Keeley was starting to feel like things might be okay again. She sat back and relaxed as Vidette scrubbed her from head to toe. Even getting her crotch washed felt comforting instead of weird or sexy.
When Vidette lead Keeley to the changing table, freshly dried off, she climbed right up on it. If playing the baby game was going to be a quick way to apologize to her friends, she was going to go for it.
“You’re being a very good baby right now.” Vidette said as she put a diaper under Keeley’s rear. It was one of the big, thick ones. “This isn’t one of those things where you fool us for a while and then act up again, is it?”
“I want to be good.” Keeley said. “To help apologize.”
“That will go a long way if you can keep it up.” Vidette said.
She lifted Keeley’s legs and inspected her rear, lightly pressing her fingers against some of the tender spots.
“Ow!” Keeley said.
“Sorry hon, I’m just checking. It looks like you have some bruises but no real damage.” Vidette took the opportunity to apply cream to Keeley’s butt while she had the little girl’s legs up.
“It still hurts.” Keeley said with a pout. “It aches even when you’re not touching it.”
“It’s working as a reminder then.” Vidette said. “To be a good baby.”
Keeley sighed and nodded.
After Keeley was powdered and diapered, Vidette put her in a white onesie with pink print of bottles, bears, and other baby stuff. Fuzzy knee-high socks that were pink and white striped were apparently all she was getting for her legs.
It wasn’t so bad if nobody but her nannies saw it. At least that’s what Keeley kept telling herself. The clothes were soft and comfortable. They were even cute if you discounted the baby thing. It was all about seeing the bright side. Like when Vidette clipped a pacifier on a ribbon to Keeley’s onesie. At least Vidette didn’t put it in her mouth too.
It was the locking mittens that had no bright side. Keeley whimpered and clasped her hands over her chest when she saw Vidette pick them up.
“You don’t have to put those on. I’ll be good!” Keeley insisted.
“I hope you’d be good either way.” Vidette said. “Give me your hand.”
Keeley managed to hold out for a few moments against Vidette’s stern look. With a sigh, she held out her hands and said goodbye to her ability to use her fingers. They didn’t even have a separate compartment for her thumb. She could curl her hands around something and that was about it.
“Alright, let’s go see Nanny Dominika.” Vidette said. “She should have breakfast ready for us. I think it’s best if you crawl for now, until we tell you that you can be a bigger girl.”
Keeley sighed and climbed down from the changing table. All the way down to the floor. The mittens protected her hands at least, and the socks were thick enough to keep the uncarpeted parts of the floor from hurting her knees.
Sitting on the floor next to her high-chair, diapered and in baby clothes was not how Keeley would have chosen to make up with Nika. Hopefully it would at least make her look more sorrowful. Nika thought she looked cute this way, at least.
“Nanny Dominika.” Keeley said sincerely. “I’m really, really sorry.”
“What are you sorry for?” Dominika asked. She was standing at her full height with a kitchen apron on over her skirt and blouse. It didn’t look like she was going to come down to Keeley’s level at all.
“For throwing the bottle at you.” Keeley said sadly. “I didn’t mean to do it, but I did, and it could have hurt you bad.”
“Is that all you’re sorry for?” Dominika asked.
“No, but that’s the really big one.” Keeley said. “I’m really sorry. I didn’t want to hurt you. I don’t ever want to hurt you.”
Dominika sighed and relaxed a little. She even crouched down. “I don’t want to hurt you either, baby girl. You know that I care about you, right?”
Keeley nodded. They did care, both of them. They were showing it in a really weird way, but she never doubted that they cared.
“I’m sorry for all the other stuff too. Drinking and waking you up and uh, everything.”
Dominika smiled a little. That was a really good sign. Keeley smiled back encouragingly.
“Did you apologize to Nanny Vidette?” Dominika asked.
“Yes.” Keeley looked up at Vidette, who was nodding.
“And did Nanny Vidette explain that your big girl privileges are gone?” Dominika asked.
“Yes.” Keeley sighed and slumped down. She didn’t know why she’d hoped that Dominika would be the less strict one. If anything she was going to go the other way.
“Just because your butt is sore doesn’t mean I won’t spank you again.” Dominika said. “We’re going to treat you like a baby today. We understand that babies are a little fussy sometimes, but if you can’t be a good baby today you can’t be a little girl tomorrow, understand?”
A whole day of baby treatment, minimum? Keeley sighed. If it would get Dominika to forgive her, maybe it was okay.
“Yes Nanny Dominika.”
“Good baby.” Dominika said. “You can just say nana or nanny if you want. We wouldn’t expect a baby to be able to say the whole name every time.”
“Okay nanny.” Keeley said. It was dumb and infantile, but Nanny Dominika was a big mouthful. Maybe she could get away with giving them a nickname.
“Up a go!” Dominika said, helping Keeley into the high-chair.
Breakfast was a major disappointment. When Vidette said that Dominika was making breakfast for ‘us’, she was apparently only talking about Dominika and herself. Keeley’s breakfast was baby food, fed to her by Vidette directly out of the jar.
It wasn’t horrible tasting, but it was mushy and it did not compare to the eggs, sausage, and French toast she could see and smell her nannies eating. If they meant the baby food as a punishment, they had nailed it.
Still hungry after breakfast, but not wanting to ask for more mush, Keeley found herself lying across Dominika’s lap on the couch. To her great embarrassment, Nika offered her an adult-sized baby bottle filled with some white liquid.
Refusing still seemed like a bad idea if she wanted to make up with her friends. On the other hand, Keeley hoped the whole day wouldn’t be this intense. She wasn’t sure she could keep up the good baby act.
The stuff in the bottle tasted like a protein shake of some kind. Keeley hoped it wasn’t actual baby formula. It was a lot thicker than the water she’d drunk from a bottle before. She kept misjudging how much she had to suck on the rubble nipple and swallowing air instead of the shake. Every time she did, she’d involuntarily move her mouth and get some drips of her face.
It took until Vidette was done with the breakfast dishes for Keeley’s ordeal with the bottle to be over. She was out of ability to take the game in stride. Keeley was embarrassed and feeling uncomfortably bloated. When Dominika sat Keeley up on her lap, she burped a little, which only made the embarrassment worse.
“I thought that might happen. Vi, give me a hand?” Dominika said.
Before Keeley could figure out what they were planning, she was being bounced on Dominika’s legs. Vidette was behind her, helping steady her and gently slapping her back in time with he bounces.
A massive burp came out of Keeley. It relieved the pressure, but left drops of the protein shake on her lips. Her face was hot under the washcloth Dominika used to clean her up.
“That was a good one! Feeling better, honey?” Vidette asked.
Keeley was in no mood to answer anyone. She wanted to crawl into a corner until the embarrassment went away.
“I think she’s feeling a little shy.” Dominika said, popping the pacifier into Keeley’s mouth.
“Let’s put her down for a bit, maybe she’ll nap.” Vidette said.
Without any need for Keeley’s input, her nannies put her on a blanket in front of the fireplace. She lay there, overwhelmed. At least nobody was taking pictures. Her friends had hardly looked at their phones, actually.
“I talked to Alyssa last week, by the way.” Vidette said, handing a glass of lemonade to Dominika and sitting down with one of her own.
“Really? What’d she have to say?” Dominika asked.
Keeley perked up as well. She hadn’t seen Alyssa in a while.
“She finally got engaged!” Vidette said with a grin.
“Wow, I didn’t think they’d ever pull that trigger.” Dominika said.
“That’s awesome!” Keeley said, spitting out her pacifier. “When’s the wedding?”
“Keeley, sweetie, this is quiet time for you, okay?” Dominika said.
“But…” Keeley tried to protest, but Dominika leaned over and popped the pacifier back in her mouth. It was a pretty clear message.
“It’s a good question though.” Dominika said. “When is the wedding?”
“Two years out at least, she says.” Vidette said. “She wants to do it in France, can’t decide where. He wants to do it in Amsterdam.”
“So it’s going to be in Norway or something?” Dominika chuckled.
“I wouldn’t be surprised with those two. I’ll be surprised if we see a save the date in two years.” Vidette grinned.
Squirming with embarrassment, Keeley tried to tune out the conversation. She didn’t want to listen about Alyssa’s dumb engagement, if she couldn’t be part of the conversation. Focusing on the fire crackling helped a little, as did curling up facing the fireplace instead of the couch.
Once she lost the thread of the conversation it was easier to ignore the words and focus on elemental sounds only. Wind, waves, fire. Keeley stared at the flames and let the natural sounds wash over her. With a little work, she was able to get into empty mind mode. Words were just sounds without meaning in that state.
It was peaceful to lie there without thoughts. Restful too. Keeley was still tired but wasn’t sleepy. She had a soft awareness of her nannies as they moved from the couch to the kitchen to the porch, always chatting.
It would have been nice to catch up along with them.
That thought was complete enough to crash Keeley out of her meditation. She stretched and looked around. Her nannies were still on the porch, with the door open so they could monitor her, she guessed. She wasn’t planning to do anything they’d call bad, but she needed to do something. Plus she had to pee again. First order of business was to spit out her pacifier and crawl to where the couch would hide her from the porch.
A quick squat and release took care of the pressure in her bladder. Keeley was getting to be a pro at wetting herself. She hoped this didn’t have any long term effects. Like anybody else, she’d had some close calls getting to a bathroom. Those didn’t need to become accidents.
Putting that worrisome thought out of her mind, Keeley explored the living room to see what was within her crawling reach. To her surprise, the main bookshelf had two entire shelves cleared of books and knickknacks. In their place were toys, from dolls and stuffies, to coloring books and kid’s games, as well as some really baby toys like blocks and colored rings.
The weekend had been so crazy she hadn’t noticed them until now. Everything was brand new, which meant it was something Keeley hadn’t seen before unless it was a ‘classic’ toy. She amused herself by inspecting the dolls and seeing what little girls were playing with nowadays.
“You found the toys.” Dominika said cheerfully behind her.
Keeley jumped a little, craning her head back to look at her nanny. “I guess so. I got bored nana.”
“Aww, I’m sorry hon.” Dominika kneeled down behind Keeley and hugged her from behind. “You want to play with the dolls?”
“I’d rather watch TV.” Keeley said. She’d already be watching it if she thought she could work a remote through her ridiculous mittens.
“Maybe later this afternoon. Let’s do something else for now.” Dominika said. “Which dolly is your favorite?”
“Uh, this one I guess.” Keeley picked a doll with large eyes and rainbow-colored hair off the shelf. “The super realistic ones are kind of creepy.”
“Pick out a few you want to play with and we can all play together.” Dominika said.
“Really?” Keeley asked. She’d been sure that the nannies were going to make her play dolls while they watched.
“Of course baby girl. This weekend is about you.” Dominika said.
Keeley smiled. They kept managing to be sweet despite the weirdness. Said weirdness was pushed back to the forefront when Dominika reached between Keeley’s legs and hooked her fingers under the little girl’s onesie and diaper.
“Nana, hey.” Keeley protested weakly.
“Looks like somebody already wet.” Dominika said, ignoring the protest. “I don’t think you need a change yet though. Get your dollies and let’s play.”
Playing dolls was a lot of fun. Almost as much fun as winning at Hungry Hungry Hippos. Her nannies not only participated, but they let her take the lead on the story. Keeley was a little sad to see the dolls put away as lunchtime rolled around. Especially because she wasn’t looking forward to meals anymore after that breakfast.
“Keeley.” Vidette said, crouching down next to the perpetually floor-bound girl. “I talked with Nanny Nika and I think we can try you on a big girl lunch.”
“Oh yes please!” Keeley said hurriedly.
“You have to be a super good girl though. Can you behave and do whatever your nannies say?”
“Yeah, I can do it!” Keeley said. Visions of grilled beach food danced in her mind. Anything but mush!
“I know you can. You’ll make me super proud I bet.” Vidette said with a grin.
After what she’d done last night, Keeley desperately wanted to make Vidette proud. She didn’t question the intensity of the emotion, she just wanted to be right with her nannies again. Her friends, she corrected herself.
“Great, let’s get you into your car seat.” Vidette said.
The bottom dropped out of Keeley’s stomach. That Vidette helped her to her feet and was letting her walk instead of crawl didn’t even register.
“Wh-where are we going?” Keeley asked.
“Well we can’t go into a restaurant unfortunately.” Vidette said breezily. “I’m sure they don’t have a high-chair that would fit you. No reason we can’t go eat in the car though.”
“A-are you kidding?” Keeley asked in horror.
“I know!” Vidette said with relentless cheer. “We never slum it at fast food. There’s a really good burger place that opened up here though. They have a drive-in section, so it’ll work out.”
“Please! Nanny Vidette!” Keeley whimpered and dug in her heels as they approached the door. Dominika already had her keys in her hand, holding the door open for them.
“Please don’t take me out like this.” Keeley begged. “I don’t mind eating the baby food. I’ll drink baby formula. Just please don’t let people see me like this.”
“We don’t know anyone in this town except the guy that rents boats.” Dominika said. “You’ll be fine unless you make a fuss and attract a bunch of attention.”
“Come on Keeley, you told me that you could be a good baby and listen to your nannies, remember?” Vidette said, giving Keeley’s arm a firm pull.
Wide-eyed and stumbling, Keeley let Vidette pull her to the door. She hardly noticed Dominika kneeling down to put pink baby-styled shoes on her feet. Even Vidette taking the mittens off didn’t help her mood. This was really going to happen.

Baby Girl Project: Beach House 6
Keeley hung fearfully back in the doorway of the beach house, staring at her nannies’ cars in horror. They were determined to pack her into them and take her out. Not just through fast food drive through line either. The plan was to park at a drive-in and eat there. Begging and pleading had no effect on her nannies. The only way to avoid being humiliated in town would be a huge tantrum.
A tantrum would get her spanked and probably locked in her crib. It almost sounded preferable to being taken out to town. Only two things held Keeley back. She was supposed to be making up for nearly killing Dominika, and she didn’t want to be treated like a baby tomorrow as well.
Keeley was in a daze on the way out to Dominika’s SUV. Her nannies helped her into the back and strapped her into an adult-sized car seat. It was in the middle of the back seat, thankfully. She was about as far from the windows as she could be. On the other hand, it boosted her up, and with the straps, there wouldn’t be any ducking down in the seat if someone looked in.
Keeley whimpered as her nannies got into the front seats. “Maybe we could just go through a drive-through.”
“You don’t want to miss out on this new place.” Vidette said.
“Plus that stuff will tear up your stomach.” Dominika said. “It tastes terrible too. This place is good, you’ll see!”
The new restaurant turned out to be one of those really grotesque tourist traps. A kelp-covered, blue-skinned witch dominated the roadside sign. She was joined by a lobster in a pointy wizard’s hat. It was over the top enough that it wouldn’t have looked out of place in Disneyworld.
In a way it was a relief to see how touristy the place was. There shouldn’t be many New Englanders there at all, certainly not from Keeley’s social circle. The place wasn’t very busy either, this early into the season.
Still, when Dominika pulled into the drive-in spot, Keeley felt a surge of panic. Somebody was going to see her like this, even if it wasn’t somebody she knew. She wished Dominika’s windows were tinted, or that she had a blanket to throw over herself. Anything but being trapped in a car-seat in a onesie and diaper.
“Let’s see what they have.” Dominika said, rolling her window down. “Oh nice, they have three kids meals. Keeley, do you want a burger, chicken nuggets, or the crab mac and cheese?”
Chicken nuggets would be the easiest to eat without getting teased for making a mess again. They were by far the most baby option though. “Mac and Cheese.” Keeley said.
“Sounds good!” Dominika said. “I think I’ll do the lobster roll. What are you going to get, Vi?”
“Hmmm, I did the lobster roll last time. I think I’ll see if their fish and chips are good.” Vidette said.
“We are going to have to do so much yoga after this.” Dominika chuckled.
“Yeah, we’re being bad.” Vidette said. “But it’s a nice treat for Keeley, right baby girl?”
“Uh, it’s okay if you want to just eat at the house, we can go back.” Keeley said.
“You’d miss out on a blue sea-shake!” Dominika said, as if that was somehow worse than being seen in baby clothes.
“Welcome to the Sea Witch, are you ready to order? Quick reminder, that we can’t serve any of our alcoholic beverages to guests in their car.” Their waitress looked like she was barely out of high school. She was wearing a black t-shirt with the restaurant’s name on it and a skirt with a kelp pattern. Her nametag said ‘Trish’.
“It’s a little early for those drinks anyway.” Dominika said. “I’ll have the lobster roll and a strawberry LaCroix.”
“I’ll take your fish and chips.” Vidette said. “With a lemonade.”
“Absolutely.” Trish said, making notes on her pad. “And for your other – friend.”
Keeley blushed as Trish did a double take, peering through the window at her. Hiding her face would just make the baby comparison even worse. All she could do was turn her head away.
“She’s a little shy, I’ll order for her.” Dominika said. “She’ll have the kid’s crab mac and a blue sea shake.”
Trish smiled awkwardly and nodded, making a note. “Uh, what side? She can get coleslaw, fries, onion rings, or toast.”
“Let’s go with the fries.” Dominika said. “She doesn’t usually get big girl meals like this.”
Trish laughed. “Okay, I’ll get those started for you. Go ahead and turn your lights off so we know you’ve ordered. Just turn them on again if you need to summon a Sea Witch.”
“We will, thank you.” Dominika said.
“Are you excited, Keeley?” Vidette asked as their waitress hurried off.
“Girls!” Keeley whined, correcting herself when Vidette frowned. “I mean, nanas, this is so embarrassing!”
“You don’t know anyone here, and you’ll never see Trish again.” Dominika said. “Just let go and have fun with it.”
“Easy for you to say.” Keeley pouted.
A few more cars pulled in as they waited, but luckily none of them in an adjacent spot. Despite the situation, Keeley was really looking forward to some real food. The characters on the signs were actually pretty cute. It’d be a fun place to go to ‘ironically’ if she wasn’t dressed as a baby.
When the food arrived, Keeley’s hopes that they’d take it and go were dashed. Not that she’d really believed that her nannies were going to cut her embarrassment short. It was still a blow to see their food tray latched to Dominika’s window.
“What’s the girl’s name in the back?” Trish asked.
“Don’t!” Keeley managed before Dominika blithely answered.
“Keeley.” Dominika said.
“I have something for Keeley.” Trish said. “Is it okay if you roll down the back window?”
“Noooo….” Keeley whimpered, pressing her hands to her face.
The window came down inexorably. Keeley tried to pretend that she was somewhere else.
“I have a Warlock Lobster toy for you.” Trish said. “Keeley? You okay?”
“She’s just fussy and shy because she’s wet.” Vidette said. To Keeley’s horror, she felt Vidette’s hand at her crotch, unsnapping her onesie and pressing on her diaper.
“Oh no.” Trish said, like you would to a child who’s ice cream had fallen on the floor. “Come on Keeley, he’s a really fuzzy friend.”
“What do you say to someone when they give you a present?” Vidette asked. “Be a good girl, Keeley.”
Trembling, Keeley peeked between her fingers at Vidette. The look on her face was serious. She managed a nervous glance at Trish. The girl was leaning into the car a little and holding out a plush lobster with the little hat on. Red faced and mumbling, she took the lobster from Trish.
“Th-hank you.” Keeley said.
“Good girl!” Vidette said.
The lobster was just as soft as advertised. Keeley clung to him while Vidette put a car-tray across her lap and set her food out on it. Trish was mercifully out of her window, handing condiments to Dominika.
“I’ll have another toy for you next time, okay Keeley?” Trish said, sticking her head back in the rear window.
Her hopes that Trish was done with her were dashed. The girl’s reappearance caught her off guard in the middle of a bite. She met Trish’s gaze, dribbling some cheese sauce down her chin. Something snapped inside Keeley. The embarrassment was too painful, too scary. She lost control of her bladder, but that was a distant concern. Keeley dove into the baby role for refuge. It was better than Trish thinking she was a normal girl in a diaper.
“Thank you Twish.” Keeley babbled. Her attempt at baby talk was exaggerated by the food in her mouth. Hastily, Keeley swallowed. “What are the other toys?”
“We have the Sea Witch of course!” Trish said. “We also have a whale and a bunch of pilgrim clams.”
“The whale sounds cool.” Keeley said shyly.
“I’ll pick you that one next time you come.” Trish said. “Sorry, I can only give out one per visit.”
“That’s okay.” Keeley squirmed, trying to get comfortable as her diaper puffed out between her legs.
“I should get back to work.” Trish said, looking back guiltily. “It was great to meet you Keeley.”
“Bye, bye.” Keeley said, waving with her spoon.
“She’s so cute!” Trish said to Dominika. “I have a cousin who’s special, but she’s not as cute as Keeley.”
“She’s the cutest.” Dominika agreed. “Thanks so much for the toy.”
“No worries, it’s on the house. We have a bunch of promotional stuff to give out to kids.” Trish said. “Is there anything else I can get you?”
“Not that I can think of.” Dominika said. “Is there a survey or something that I can fill out to let your boss know that we got great service today?”
“On your receipt.” Trish said with a big grin. She handed the paper to Dominika. “Thanks for that, and please come again!”
“Do you babysit on the side?” Dominika said. “We’re only here for a few days but if we wanted to go out it might be nice.”
“I used to in high school.” Trish said. “I’d think about it at least. Speaking of that, you’re probably going to need to change her soon, I think she just wet again.”
Keeley squirmed down as far as she could manage in her car seat and lifted her mac and cheese to her face. Spooning the food in as fast as she could, she mentally begged Dominika to send Trish away.
“Thanks for letting us know.” Dominika said. “I’ll let you get back to work, I think someone is waving at you.”
“Oh shoot, that’s my manager.” Trish said, chuckling. “Have a great day!”
Dominika and Vidette waved to Trish as she scampered off.
“What a nice girl.” Vidette said.
“You wouldn’t let her babysit me.” Keeley said.
“I don’t know, you’re a handful sometimes. Help could be nice.” Dominika said, turning around to look at Keeley. “You’ve got cheese all over your face, baby.”
“Do you need a change now, or do you think you can wait until we get home?” Vidette asked.
“No please.” Keeley whimpered. “I can wait, please not here.”
“Okay, if you’re not too uncomfortable.” Vidette said, returning to her meal.
“I’m fine!” Keeley assured them.
“Then finish up your lunch sweetie.” Dominika said. “Try to get a little more of it into your mouth.”
Keeley blushed and worked on her fries. It was hard to be a neat eater when she was strapped down and had the lobster in her other hand. At least she only got a little bit of ketchup on her onesie. The blue shake turned out to be blueberry. It was really good. All the food had been.
When they finally drove away, Keeley sighed in relief. Whatever crazy stuff her nannies had planned back at the beach house wouldn’t be in public at least. Even so, there was tiny part of her that wanted to come back to the Sea Witch and get the whale. It was a dumb thought, and Keeley squashed it.
Back at the beach house, Dominika helped Keeley into a fresh diaper and took her to the playpen. “The rest of this day is going to be pretty quiet for you, baby girl. Nanny Vi and I have some calls to make and some other stuff we have to do.”
“But we’re on vacation.” Keeley said, pouting.
“I wish.” Dominika said. “It’s mostly me that has to work. Nanny Vi can spend some time with you, but this is a baby day, remember?”
“Yes nana Nika.” Keeley sighed.
“You’ve got stuffies to play with. I’m guessing you still need to recover from last night. Your nannies would like to get a nap in at some point too.”
“Can I have the TV at least?” Keeley asked.
“Nope.” Dominika said. “Nanny Vi will bring a bottle around a couple of times before dinner. Otherwise, you play with your stuffies and be a good, quiet baby. Understand?”
“And tomorrow I can be a little girl again?” Keeley asked. It was weird to ask for that like it was a reward.
“We’ll see how your behavior goes today.” Dominika said.
“Okay.” Keeley got up on her knees and reached for Dominika. “Can I get a hug at least?”
Dominika chuckled and pulled Keeley into a warm embrace. “Yes sweetie. You can get lots of hugs.”
With that, Keeley was alone in her playpen. Well, not alone exactly. Dominika was in and out of the beach house, sometimes on her laptop outside, sometimes taking calls in the kitchen or her bedroom. Vidette was here and there as well, cleaning things up and doing what looked like dinner prep. Every time Vidette passed the playpen she popped Keeley’s pacifier back in her mouth, if it was out. After the third time Keeley gave up and left it in.
It wasn’t that she didn’t like having a pacifier in her mouth, Keeley silently told Gordo. It just felt weird. Sure, it was comforting, but that was the weird part. Just like wetting herself, using a pacifier wasn’t something she wanted to get used to.
Gordo wouldn’t have much good advice to give, Keeley thought. He always liked having stuff in his mouth. Maybe that’s why mom had been so quick to get rid of him. She hated the mess Keeley had made as a kid when she mashed food against Gordo’s snout.
He didn’t talk anymore, Keeley thought sadly. He had a silly, laughing voice that she’d been able to hear clearly in her head, once. If she was going to be sitting in a playpen in diapers, it’d be nice to at least talk to Gordo again.
Keeley lay down in the playpen and held Gordo over her face. She relaxed, letting herself wet her diaper. Gordo had always teased her when she wet, while she was potty training. The warm wet spread out across her crotch and rear, before it was wicked away by her heavy diaper. Keeley let it just flow instead of pushing it out, hoping she’d ‘hear’ Gordo say something.
It wasn’t in the cards. Keeley was wet and holding a stuffed rat, that was all. A ratty stuffed rat. She giggled. Stupid Gordo, always the weird toy. He didn’t fit in with the expensive stuff her parents usually bought. That’s why she liked him.
His fur was so worn it was almost felted. It was softer against her cheek than even her new lobster, which Keeley had also pulled in for a snuggle.
“You look like a happy baby.” Vidette said, pulling a chair up to the playpen. She had a baby bottle of water in her hand.
“Hi Nana. I’m not really thirsty.” Keeley said.
“I bet you will be once you start drinking.” Vidette said. “I’m sure you’re still dehydrated. Sit up a bit and let me give you your bottle.”
Keeley got up on her knees and took the rubber nipple in her mouth. She didn’t bother reaching for it with her hands. Vidette was right, which was annoying. Once Keeley started drinking, she found herself gulping down the water. While she was drinking, Vidette stroked Keeley’s hair. It was nice, but Keeley wished they weren’t separated by the walls of the playpen.
“See? You were a thirsty girl.” Vidette said.
Vi set the bottle aside and reached down into the playpen. A rough tug popped the snaps on Keeley’s onesie. Keeley’s diaper squished outward a bit. She was getting used to the embarrassment of having Vidette diaper-check her, but it still made her blush.
“These are good diapers.” Vidette said. “I don’t think you need a change yet. I’ll be back in a bit, okay?”
“What if I need a change before that?” Keeley asked, thinking about the bottle of water she’d just drunk.
“Then you can just cry and I’ll come right away.” Vidette chuckled and popped the pacifier back into Keeley’s mouth.
Ha, ha, very funny. Keeley thought. She plopped down on her padded butt and watched Vidette walk off. Part of her was tempted to do just what Vi had suggested. She could stop talking and just cry when she wanted something.
If they wanted a baby, she could be a baby. The babiest-baby. Then she’d see how they handled it. She doubted Nika would be able to work with a crying baby in the house. Babies cried for everything. Keeley smirked as she imagined her nannies trying to figure out what she wanted, while she just wailed and yelled. She could lie down like a lump too, maybe they’d give up if they had to carry her places.
If she was going to play baby-chicken with her nannies, might as well go all the way, she thought. Refuse to eat anything that wasn’t baby food, and make a big mess of it. Take little naps and cry whenever she woke up alone. Use her diapers for number two and make them clean up the mess.
Nope! Keeley thought, scrunching up her face at the very thought. She was not going to go down that road. The weird baby game had taken every bit of her dignity but one tiny part, and she was going to keep that part if it killed her.
Unfortunately that put her back at her nannies’ mercy. Vidette wasn’t even doing anything important at the moment. She was just chilling at the kitchen table on her phone. If going full-baby was too extreme, maybe she could at least play up her cuteness.
“Nana?” Keeley said, finding that word easy to say around a pacifier. “Nana!”
Vidette looked up at Keeley curiously. “Yes sweetie?”
“Nana!” Keeley repeated. If Vidette was going to keep putting a pacifier in her mouth, she could deal with Keeley only being able to make a few words.
Vidette chuckled ruefully, probably coming to the same conclusion. She got up from the table and walked over to Keeley. Keeley waited until Vidette took the pacifier out of her mouth.
“Nana, can you read me a story?” Keeley smiled as cutely as she could. “You were going to last night, right?”
“Okay hon.” Vidette said, stifling a yawn. “But a short one. Nanny Vidette is tired.”
“On the couch please.” Keeley said, holding up her arms.
Of course, Vidette couldn’t just pick her up. She did react though, helping Keeley out of the playpen and onto the couch. It was nice to be out of the playpen just for a change of scenery. Of course, when Vidette came back with a book, she had a baby bottle in her hand as well. Keeley sighed. She went ahead and wet herself again, figuring she might as well get it out of the way if the bottles were going to come that fast.
This time the bottle was more of the white protein shake stuff that Keeley really hoped wasn’t baby formula. Baby formula probably wouldn’t taste like a fitness shake, right? She was going to be very upset with her nannies if they’d fed her formula. Her lines in the sand might be ridiculous, but at least she had them.
Keeley sucked on the bottle in Vidette’s lap while she read the story. Still a little full from the last one, she took her time with the drink. It ended up lasting just a little longer than the story. The story was one Keeley hadn’t heard before. All about a brave corgi who negotiated with the faeries for the little boy and little girl in his family.
Vidette was sagging against the arm of the couch. Keeley set her bottle down and snuggled up to her nanny.
“Naptime?” She asked sweetly.
“Little stinker.” Vidette said, yawning. “You planned this?”
“You said we could snuggle as much as we wanted.” Keeley said. It came out a bit sadder than she’d intended.
“I guess I did.” Vidette agreed.
She slid down until they were both laying on the couch. Keeley scooted herself half-on Vidette and tucked her head onto Vidette’s shoulder. When she felt Vidette’s arms enveloping her she sighed happily. It was so relaxing that she felt another pulse of warm and wet on her crotch. Keeley ignored that for now. There was naptime to be had.
Baby day wasn’t going to be all terrible, Keeley decided as she drifted off to sleep.
They woke to Dominika gently teasing them. Keeley rubbed the sleep out of her eyes and stretched away from the drool-patch she’d left on Vidette’s shoulder.
“You should try it.” Vidette said, sitting up for her own stretch. “She’s better than sleeping pills.”
“Too bad she won’t be sleepy for a while.” Dominika said, yawning.
“We could snuggle anyway.” Keeley said hopefully. “You can put my pacifier in. I’ll be quiet.”
“And when you get squirmy and wake me up?” Dominika asked. “That’d be worse than not napping.”
“I won’t!” Keeley said earnestly. “I miss snuggling with you. I’m still really sorry too. I want to be a good girl.”
It was a little embarrassing to say that last part, but Keeley needed Nika to know that she really was sorry. If Nika hadn’t gotten out of the way last night – Keeley refused to let her thoughts keep going down that road.
“I’ll think about it.” Dominika said, clearly tempted. “You need a change first anyway. You’re soaked, baby girl.”
“It’s all the bottles Nanny Vi keeps giving me.” Keeley protested.
“Speaking of, it’s time for another one.” Vidette said, checking her phone. “You want to take a break from work, Nika? You can change her, give her a bottle, and nap.”
“I should try to get a hold of the landlord for the new office one more time.” Dominika said.
Vidette didn’t reply, she stared Dominika down. After a few seconds, Dominika nodded. “Fine, yeah, that sounds really good. I’m too tired to negotiate right now anyway.”
Keeley crawled happily behind Dominika and got right up on the changing table. It was really nice to get the soaked padding off. It was even better to have Dominika gently taking care of her in such an intimate way. If she closed her eyes and pretended, she could imagine it was a massage or a spa treatment on a sleepover instead of a diaper.
With a fresh diaper on, Keeley climbed into bed with Dominika. It was exactly what she thought was going to happen when they’d first tied her up. Keeley giggled.
“What’s so funny, pampers?” Dominika asked.
“Don’t call me that.” Keeley pouted. That one actually hurt a little.
Nika had stripped down to an undershirt and panties. Keeley scooted under the covers with her, dressed in a fresh onesie.
“Alright.” Dominika relented.
Pulling Keeley close, she put a bottle to the little girl’s lips. It was back to water this time. Keeley sucked on the bottle obediently, pressing up against her nanny like she could infuse her with love directly. They still weren’t back to being right with each other, Keeley could feel it.
Dominika set the empty bottle aside and yawned hugely. Despite the slight awkward tension between them, she pulled Keeley close.
“You promise you’re not going to get squirmy and wake me up?” Dominika asked warily.
“I promise.” Keeley said. “I want to make up with you. It’s my fault you’re tired.”
“Okay.” Dominika yawned again. “But you’d better be telling the truth. Even if you wake up with a wet diaper.”
“I’m not a bedwetter.” Keeley protested.
“That’s not what I saw.” Dominika said, her voice getting floaty as her breath slowed.
“But that wasn’t – it was part of me being bad.” Keeley said with a sigh. “I wasn’t really asleep.”
“Shh.” Dominika said. “I forgive you.”
“Really?” Keeley said, daringly laying her head on Dominika’s soft chest.
“Yeah. Really.” Dominika said with a soft sigh. “You’re my little bedwetter.”
Keeley let that one go. Nestled against her nanny, head resting on Nika’s bosom, she could take a tease about bedwetting. Keeley had gotten what she needed. She was forgiven. Nika fell asleep with hand on Keeley’s back.
The waves were still doing their endless, soft roar. The wind was still gently shuddering past the house. Keeley listened to the peaceful rhythm of Dominika’s breathing. She felt more than heard the slow thump of her nanny’s heart. Easily, she slipped into spacing out. It was the comfiest meditation she’d ever done.

Baby Girl Project: Beach House 7
During her morning change, Keeley was hoping for a better day. Dominika was changing her this morning. It was nice to shed the over-wet nighttime diaper. She wouldn’t need the extra padding except that they kept putting her to bed early. Last night had been eight o’clock. No way she could make it to morning without having to go.
“Do I have to be a baby today?” Keeley asked Dominika.
“You were pretty darn good yesterday.” Dominika said. “I think we can give it a try.”
“Then can I have a smaller diaper?” Keeley asked, internally shaking her head that she was asking for that, instead of no diaper at all.
“You went through a lot of diapers yesterday.” Dominika said, taping up the bulky pink diaper she’d chosen. “They were bulky like this too.”
“But that’s because I had to eat baby food. It’s all watery.” Keeley grumped.
“You didn’t just eat baby food. We went out for lunch, remember? It was a really big shake though. I wonder if they messed up and gave you the adult size.”
Keeley blushed and squirmed. She had been trying to forget the intensely humiliating trip to the drive-in restaurant from yesterday. Dominika took advantage of her silence to dress Keeley in a Duck Tales blouse and a little girl’s dress with an overall-esque top.
“There, you’ve got big girl clothes on!” Dominika said.
“So, I can eat at the table?” Keeley asked hopefully.
“Nope, but you can be trusted with a fork and a knife.” Dominika scooted Keeley off the changing table.
Keeley took the win. Breakfast was pancakes and eggs. She cleaned her plate without getting a single drop of syrup or yolk on her clothes.
“Look, nana!” Keeley said excitedly. “I didn’t spill!”
“What a good girl!” Vidette said, kissing Keeley on the head. She wiped Keeley’s face off with a washcloth. “I’m proud of you.”
Too late, Keeley realized she shouldn’t have been so proud of her accomplishment. Vidette sounded sincere when she said she was proud, though. It felt good even if it was embarrassing to be praised for something so dumb.
“What are we doing today?” Keeley asked.
Vidette helped Keeley out of the chair and lowered her to the floor. After a whole day of crawling, it felt natural enough to sit down there and look up at her nannies.
“We can go back to the beach today if you want.” Dominika said.
“Yeah!” Keeley said, genuinely excited. “Do you think my sandcastle is still there?”
“Maybe.” Dominika said. “It was right up at the high tide line.”
“I hope so.” Keeley said.
With her nannies busy cleaning up breakfast, Keeley crawled to the living room and investigated the toy shelves. Nobody had put her in those hateful locking mittens today either, so it was a good opportunity to get into the coloring books. She selected one on faeries and flopped down on her stomach to color.
Just as she had on the first day, Keeley embellished the big open sections of the pictures. The faeries took on a distinctly nautical theme with kelp strands in their skirts and coral growing out of the pillars and walls of their homes. Along the way she felt the far-too-intrusive feeling of pressure in her bladder.
It was annoying how much of her day had been revolving around that feeling. Keeley relaxed and let herself go right away. Wetting was inevitable anyway; she might as well not dwell on it.
“Can I see what you’re drawing?” Vidette asked, sitting with her back against the couch.
“This one isn’t done.” Keeley said, turning the page back from the drawing she was working on, to one already completed. “You can see this one.”
“Show me what you like about it.” Vidette said.
When she approached, Vidette pulled Keeley into her lap and wrapped her arms around the diapered girl. Not one to turn down a snuggle, Keeley settled in and went over the additions she’d made to the coloring book page.
“And this spot was boring and empty, so I put in a lobster.” Keeley said as she finished her explanation.
“That looks a lot like your new toy. Do we need to go back to the Sea Witch today?” Vidette asked.
“No! No that’s okay.” Keeley said. “I uh – wanna have a picnic on the beach.”
“Okay, we can do that.” Vidette said gently.
Keeley felt an absurd pang of disappointment at how easily Vidette caved on that request. She’d expected her nanny to insist on going out again. Now she’d never get that whale. It was a crazy thing to be disappointed about, even if she was dressed as a bigger girl this time and it wouldn’t be so embarrassing.
Dominika came in from the porch, putting her phone away. “You two having fun?”
“Keeley was showing me her drawings.” Vidette said. “And we just decided on a picnic on the beach instead of going out for lunch.”
“Sounds fun.” Dominika said. “I guess I better get the picnic stuff together.”
“I can do it if you want.” Vidette said.
“I don’t mind.” Dominika said. “I was taking a call while you were watching her anyway.”
Keeley sighed. Vidette wasn’t paying attention to the next picture she’d turned to. This one was really good, the best one of the morning. She’d managed to add a bunch of detail and totally transform a woodland scene into the bottom of the sea.
“Nanny Vi, you’re not looking.” Keeley said.
“Oh, I’m sorry sweetie, go ahead and show me.” Vidette squeezed Keeley gently.
Pleased to have Vi’s attention back, plus a hug, Keeley described each of her upgrades to the picture as she pointed them out. She was still showing off her pictures, to Dominika this time, while her nannies got her dressed for the beach. Dominika gently pried the coloring book out of Keeley’s hand before putting a coat on her.
“We can look at the rest of it later, it’s beach time hon.” Dominika said.
“But you didn’t say if you liked that one.” Keeley said, annoyed.
“I liked all of them.” Dominika said. “You are super creative. I really liked how you put seaweed all over the deer antlers in the last one.”
Keeley beamed. The last hour had been non-stop encouragement and compliments. Genuine ones too, that mentioned specific stuff about her pictures. She hardly noticed Vidette strapping her into the leash harness before she bolted out the door with the sand toys.
Down on the beach, Keeley assessed the damage to her sandcastle. It had survived a day and two nights pretty well. The water-side of the castle was a big smushed, but she was able to recover pretty much all of her splinter people.
Since the little people were the time-consuming part, Keeley had her castle back in shape after a mere half-hour. That left her plenty of time to hunt the beach for shells. Anything was fair game. Unbroken shells were great, sure, but even small bits of shells or crab-carapace could be carefully pressed into the sides of the sandcastle. Little by little Keeley built mosaic walls worthy of Byzantium.
“Keeley!” Dominika’s voice was soft against the roaring waves. “Keeley!”
“What?” Keeley yelled. There was no response.
She shrugged. Dominika could tell her whatever it was later. She was sitting on a motherload of shell shards that were going into her makeshift skirt-basket along with a lot of sand.
“Keeley!” Dominika’s voice was louder now.
Keeley looked over and saw Dominika walking over to her. She waved and went back to shell harvesting.
“Keeley, you can’t just wander way out here.” Dominika said. “What are you doing?”
“Nana Nika, there are so many shells!” Keeley said eagerly. “Look!” Proudly, she held up her skirt full of pretty multicolored shards. She was showing her diaper off to the whole beach in the process, but it was still empty so that didn’t matter.
“That’s a lot of shells for sure.” Dominika said, giving Keeley a funny look. She cast a glance at something behind Keeley’s shoulder and then focused back.
“I think that’s plenty of shells for whatever you’re doing, come on back to our area, okay?”
“Okay!” Keeley nodded. “I’m almost done anyway. Wait until you see it!”
“I’m sure it’s going to be very cool.” Dominika said. She put a hand on Keeley’s back, leading her back to the blanket with a couple of looks behind them.
“You’re covered in sand, little girl.” Dominika said.
Keeley looked down. She was, actually. Her arms were sandy to her elbows, and her legs were speckled with sand right up to her diaper. The dress was a lighter, sandier color.
Keeley giggled. “Yeah, good day at the beach!”
Unfortunately, it was lunchtime. Vidette took the job of brushing the sand off of Keeley with a towel while Dominika set up the food. It looked great and all, charcuterie, veggies, delicious bread, and even fancy cookies. The problem was, it was keeping Keely from her art.
She ate quickly, ignoring her nannies as much as possible when they told her to slow down. They insisted on her eating certain amounts of things, her plan to fill up on cookies was foiled at the outset. At least she managed to hold off on drinking on the condition that she take a bottle with her to the sandcastle. They handed her a baby-bottle filled with juice and Keeley didn’t give it a second thought.
Finally back at her sandcastle, Keeley sat down to finish her masterpiece. All distractions had to go. She tuned out her nannies’ voices and quickly emptied her bladder. With the warm, squishy padding cradling her rear, she stuck shell after shell to the castle walls.
At last, Keeley was able to sit back and admire her work. She sucked idly on the bottle’s nipple while she looked for any changes she might need to make. Overall, it looked good, she’d balanced the small pieces against the larger ones. The colors flowed well too.
“Nana!” Keeley shouted. “Nanny Vidette! Nanny Dominika! Come look, come look!”
It took a couple more shouts before she was able to roust them from their blanket and books, but Keeley was persistent. When they arrived, their surprised exclamations made it all worth it.
“Woah.” Dominika said.
“Wow, this is really pretty!” Vidette added.
“Look!” Keeley said, overjoyed. “Here’s the main entrance, with the grand plaza. That’s mostly sand dollars on there. And up here is where the royals live. They get all the pearly shells. There’s a market over here, oh and a stable over here, and this tower is all snail shells.”
“This is really impressive hon.” Dominika said. “I think it’s the best sandcastle I’ve ever seen. Can I take pictures?”
“Yeah!”
Keeley posed in front of her castle and behind it, while each of her nannies took pictures. Her skirt was more than a little damp from the wet sand. It was a pain to pull it straight every time, so after the first few pictures, Keeley didn’t bother.
Both her nannies were really excited about the castle. She could see it in their faces, they weren’t faking. They had big smiles on and kept looking at the little details. Keeley felt like she could fly to the moon.
“I’m glad we got pictures.” Vidette said. “We have to head back up in a few minutes.”
“We can’t leave without going down to the water!” Keeley said, alarmed.
“Well then we better get down there fast.” Dominika replied.
“Last one there is a rotten egg!” Keeley said, hopping up and running flat out for the waves.
Dominika and Vidette shouted in alarm and followed her. Good luck to them, Keeley thought. Even with a diaper on she was faster. She hit the waves and ran down the edge of the water and back again, splashing in the ankle-deep surf.
“What did we say,” Dominika said, panting as she caught up, “about – huff – going into the water by yourself?”
“You never made a rule about that!” Keeley said. “Plus, I waited at the edge.”
Vidette laughed, holding her side. “Alright, say hi to the ocean. We really do have to go up soon.”
Keeley spun in a circle and forged out deeper into the waves. They hadn’t had a chance to put the leash on her this time. It let her go a little further into the water, though she obediently pulled back whenever they called for her to stop.
Finally, it seemed like beach time was really over. Keeley wasn’t sure why. There was plenty of afternoon left. Despite the cold in her legs, Keeley was feeling reckless and giddy. In the calf-deep surf she waited until the waves went out and dropped to the sand.
“Keeley, get up from there!” Dominika said.
She was too late! Keeley giggled as the waves flowed back over her, soaking her from head to toe. It was so cold! It also blasted the sand off of her. She hopped to her feet, now only sandy on her feet and hands. Well, and the whole back of her dress. Sure, she was freezing, but it was worth it.
“What’s gotten into you?” Vidette asked, chuckling. “I hope that was worth it, your diaper is hanging down past your skirt.”
Keeley giggled and shrugged. It was a little weird walking around with a diaper full of salt water. She had a solution for that too, though. Another burst of energy carried her running past her nannies back to the blanket. This time they didn’t chase, which she’d expected.
As soon as she was around the big driftwood log, Keeley shucked off her sopping wet dress. She lost the diaper and her shirt as well. When her nannies made it back to the blanket, they were confronted by a naked girl rolling around in the warm dry sand.
“Keeley!” Dominika looked so surprised that she didn’t even seem to be mad.
Vidette didn’t even manage to say anything, she just laughed until she doubled over. Keeley laughed with her, giggling like a fool when Dominika joined in.
“I guess we can get you fixed up at the beach house.” Dominika said. “You’d better not have an accident in the elevator, baby girl.”
“I already went plenty.” Keeley said, hopping up and grabbing her sand toys. She left the clothes and diaper where she’d flung them. That was nanny stuff.
It was a bemused pair of nannies that lead their naked, sandy girl to the private elevator. Dominika declared that Vidette had to de-sand Keeley since she’s the one that had laughed first. Keeley ended up sitting in the tub while Vidette used the detachable shower head to wash rivers of sand off of her.
“You got so much in your hair!” Vidette said in exasperation. “You almost managed to make us late, little girl.”
“Late for what?” Keeley said, sitting passively under the water. “Why’d we have to leave the beach so soon?”
“Nanny Nika has a meeting. I’m going to be able to go too.” Vidette said.
“Okay, I’ll watch TV or something while you go.” Keeley said. Whatever the meeting was, it was probably work related.
“Don’t worry, we have you covered.” Vidette said.
Keeley was barely in a new diaper and into another t-shirt and dress when the doorbell rang. Curiously, she hopped off the changing table and followed Vidette out to the living room.
“Babysitter’s here.” Dominika said, checking the makeup she’d just applied in her compact.
“Baby – WHAT?” Keeley froze in the living room. They weren’t really going to bring someone else in, were they?
“Can you get the door Nika? I’ll deal with Keeley.” Vidette took Keeley’s arm and pulled her into the hall.
“Nanny Vi, please, no.” Keeley whimpered. “I’ll be such a good girl, please nana. You – you can even lock me in the crib. With the mittens on!”
“Sweetie, you’re okay!” Vidette said. “You’ve already met your babysitter, it’s Trish from the Sea Witch. She already likes you and knows you’re a little girl.”
“But that was just at lunch, please Vi, no.” Keeley was trembling all over, she felt like she was going to throw up.
“Keeley, you were having so much fun being a little girl today at the beach. You didn’t care if anybody saw your diaper and you even got naked in the sand.” Vidette hugged Keeley gently. “It’s only for a few hours, and you’ll have a great time with Trish, okay?”
“But… but…” Keeley whimpered.
“Just be a little girl. She already thinks you’re like that. You can have more fun with her, and she won’t judge you or be mean at all.” Vidette smiled. “Just be a good girl for her and we’ll be right back.”
Reluctant, blushing, and hiding her face, Keeley stumbled along behind Vidette as her nanny pulled her by the hand into the living room.
“Hi Keeley!” That was Trish all right.
She wasn’t in her Sea Witch uniform, of course. She had ripped jeans on, with a gray loose top. A cute leather jacket went over that. She looked all cool and fashionable, while Keeley was in a green baby dress and a diaper.
“Somebody’s feeling a little shy.” Vidette said. “But I’m sure she’ll come around. We didn’t get a chance to warn her that we were going out.”
“Let me show you around while Vidette talks to her.” Dominika said to Trish.
While Dominika showed Trish where things were in the kitchen, Vidette sat Keeley on the couch. Keeley couldn’t make herself sit still. Her legs were shaking restlessly. There was heat behind her eyes that meant tears were just around the corner.
“You’re going to be okay, baby girl.” Vidette said softly, stroking Keeley’s cheek.
“Nana Vi, please.” Keeley whispered. “I don’t want a babysitter. She’s way younger than me. Is she even eighteen?”
“Dominika checked. She’s nineteen, going to college in the fall. She’s been out of high school for almost a year. We encouraged her to apply to ABDU.”
“But I’m dressed like a baby. Nana, it’s so embarrassing!” Keeley was finding it hard to keep her voice at a whisper. Luckily, Dominika’s tour had taken Trish down the hall.
“She’s already seen you as a baby. You even wet yourself in front of her.” Vidette kissed Keeley on the forehead.
“Don’t remind me.” Keeley whimpered.
“I think you’re going to have a lot of fun with her.” Vidette said. “She really wants you to like her too. You know what that means. A babysitter who wants to be liked is always a little loose with the rules.”
Keeley smiled a little, then pouted away the smile. She didn’t want to have fun with this. It wasn’t fair that she’d been diapered, treated like a baby, and now she had a babysitter. Still, she had to wonder what Trish was planning to do that would be fun.
“Remember when I told you at the beginning that you could go with the game and have fun, or you could make it no fun for you?” Vidette said.
“Yes.” Keeley said grumpily.
“Well, you didn’t have a lot of fun the first day. How much fun did you have today when you went all out on the game?”
“Shut up.” Keeley said, looking down at her lap.
“I had a lot of fun too. You were such a cute little baby girl. And your sandcastle was really amazing.”
Keeley squirmed, looking anywhere but Vidette. “I don’t wanna babysitter.”
“Uh oh, fussy baby alert.” Vidette said. With a grunt of effort, she pulled Keeley into her lap and held her close. “Trish is going to have to pull out all the stops to cheer up this grumpy pants.”
Keeley wiggled in Vidette’s lap, though not hard enough to get loose. She’d never have admitted it to her nanny, but her struggles were just a way to get some extra snuggles in before Vidette left.
“And that’s everything.” Dominika said, returning to the living room with Trish. “I don’t think you’ll have to change her or put her down for a nap, in the short time we’re gone. If you do, you know where things are.”
“I’ve got it.” Trish said eagerly. “Hi there Keeley, are you feeling better?”
“I don’ wanna babysitter.” Keeley said. She tried to glare at Trish. It didn’t seem to phase the younger girl. She wasn’t sure why she was baby-talking but that was making her a lot less intimidating.
“Oh no, are you sure? I’ve got some pretty fun games planned. But if you don’t want a babysitter, I guess we won’t play those.” Trish sighed and shook her head. She looked at Dominika. “I better not give her the present I brought then ether.”
“You brought me a present?” Keeley asked. The words were out before she realized she’d responded to obvious manipulation.
“Well, I brought a present for the cutie that I was going to babysit.” Trish said. “But if I’m not going to babysit, I don’t know what I’ll do with it. Probably just throw it away.”
Keeley pouted. This whole conversation was dumb. Dominika and Vidette weren’t going to let her not be babysat anyway. She knew that, they knew that, Trish knew that. This was just a dumb game.
Giving in and playing would mean giving her friends another victory. Not that Keeley had had any victories yet. Plus, there was a present. It had to be okay to play along for a present.
“You – don’t have to do that.” Keeley said, blushing. “You can give me the present.”
“Keeley.” Vidette said, squeezing her. “That’s not a very polite way to ask for a present.”
Keeley blew a raspberry. Kicking her feet and looking away from Trish, she mumbled. “Can I please have a present?”
“Of course you can sweetie!” Trish said. She hurried to the door to open her bag and returned with something behind her back. “I’m not supposed give these out except when I’m at work, but it’ll be our secret, okay?”
Trish held out the plush whale from the Sea Witch. It was just as absurdly cute as it had been on the signs, with its derpy grin and weird goggles. Keeley took it and cuddled it to her chest. She’d gotten the whale without having to go to a super embarrassing lunch. Trish had paid attention to what she’d said and remembered.
Maybe it would be okay to be babysat by Trish. Just for a game. Keeley was not going to wet herself while Trish was babysitting though. If Trish didn’t change her, then it would be okay to have her as a babysitter. Since she’d been so nice.
Keeley smiled slowly. “Thanks Trish. I really like it. It’s so cute – and derpy.” She giggled.
“Yeah, I think it’s the best one.” Trish said.
“Your nannies have got to go to their thing though.” Trish said, offering Keeley her hand. “You want to hop up and hug them goodbye? Then you can show me your toys.”
After being ordered around by her nannies all weekend, it was easy to take Trish’s hand and obediently stand up. She got a tight hug from Dominika and a frantic one from Vidette. Vi was freaking out about not being ready. Nika insisted she could just do her makeup in the car. The two of them were rushing around grabbing last minute stuff.
Keeley giggled, watching the frenzy. In short order, Vidette had changed her clothes and waved a quick goodbye on her way out the door.
“Be a good baby Keeley. We’ll be right back.” Dominika said. “Trish, you have our phone numbers, text or call us if you need to.”
“I will if I need to. I think we’ll be fine though, have a good meeting.” Trish said.
Keeley waved and clutched her whale tight with her other arm. Watching them go out the door made her suddenly anxious. It was more than just being left alone with a stranger, though that was part of it. She really missed her nannies.
The beach house felt suddenly very empty, even slightly scary. Keeley stood pigeon-toed, clutching her whale and staring at the window as Dominika’s SUV rumbled away.

Baby Girl Project: The Beach House 8
“Who’s this special friend? They look really well loved.” Trish said, kneeling by the playpen.
Keeley hurried over in distress, ready to defend Gordo. She still didn’t trust this babysitter that her nannies had forced on her. Trish was only looking at the stuffies though, she hadn’t picked up Gordo or anything.
“That’s Gordo.” Keeley said, snatching up her rat and cuddling him next to the whale.
“He’s been your friend for a long time, hasn’t he?” Trish said with a smile.
“I didn’t see him for a while.” Keeley said, sniffling.
“Oh, was he lost?” Trish asked.
“Kinda.” Keeley dug a hole in the carpet with her toe. She couldn’t explain her mom putting Gordo away without explaining stuff about the game that Trish didn’t need to know.
“Well, I’m really glad he’s back.” Trish said. “You can introduce him to your new friend now.”
“I don’t have a name for her yet.” Keeley said.
“The whale?” Trish said. When Keeley nodded, she chewed on her lip. “Hmm, a whale should have a big sounding name. How about Bertha?”
Keeley considered, looking at the whale. It was a weird name, but it was a weird whale. She set Bertha facing Gordo and said, “Bertha, this is Gordo. Gordo, this is Bertha.”
“Perfect.” Trish giggled. “Okay, I have some activities planned, but maybe you could show me your stuff first. Your nannies told me that you do a lot of art stuff.”
“They did?” Keeley asked curiously.
“Yeah, Ms. Galvez was really proud of you when she was talking about it.”
Dominika had been proud of her? So proud that she’d told a random teenager? Keeley blushed and beamed at the same time. She couldn’t tell if she wanted to wiggle, dance, or hide her face in her stuffies.
“Oh, and one other thing while we’re getting started.” Trish said.
Keeley was about to ask what that thing was, when Trish lifted her skirt and patted her diaper’s front and back. It happened too quickly for Keeley to make a fuss or dodge out of the way. Plus, she was dry, there was nothing to talk about.
Deciding to pretend that never happened, Keeley scurried to the toy shelves to grab her coloring book and brought it back to Trish. Her babysitter sat next to her on the couch and opened the book.
“Oh wow! You don’t just color, you make a whole new picture!” Trish said. She sounded genuinely impressed.
“I wanted to make the faeries underwater ones.” Keeley said. “So, I added the coral and stuff.”
“You did more than that, you totally changed their outfits.” Trish said. “This is really cool. Did you do these after going to the Sea Witch?”
“Yeah.” Keeley said. “Plus, I made splinter-people on the beach, so I was thinking about ocean stuff a lot.”
“Aww, I guess I made an impression huh? I was kind of worried you didn’t like me, with the reaction I got when I arrived.”
“It’s not you.” Keeley said, pouting and scooting away from Trish. “It’s just, I don’t know you and I’m – I have all this baby stuff and…”
“Hey, Keeley?” Trish said in a gentle voice. “I think you’re a really cute, really special girl. You make really cool pictures, but even if you didn’t, you’re fun to be around.”
“I am?” Keeley asked.
“Yeah. You’re super sweet. I’m really glad I got asked to babysit you.”
“You’ve been really nice to me.” Keeley mumbled bashfully.
“Keeley, can I give you a hug?” Trish asked.
Of course, she wanted a hug. But Trish was a stranger. Any minute she could realize how ridiculous the baby thing was and laugh at Keeley. Or take pictures and share them. Or yell at her. Or – sit on her phone and ignore the stupid baby.
“It’s okay if the answer is no.” Trish said. “The offer is open.”
Before she could give herself more reasons not to, Keeley lunged across the gap between them and grabbed Trish. There were a terrifying few moments while Trish was caught off guard; and Keeley was just holding someone who was sitting there like a lump. Then Trish’s arms wrapped around her, gentle and full of way more caring than Keeley would ever expect from a stranger.
In the process of working her way into a proper snuggle, Keeley ended up on Trish’s lap. They were about the same size, but Trish didn’t seem to mind. She even nuzzled Keeley’s cheek. At that moment Keeley decided that Trish wasn’t just an acceptable babysitter, but a really good one. Not that she planned to tell Trish that. The afternoon would be way more fun if Trish still thought she had to go all-out to win Keeley over.
“You’re adorable. I could sit like this for a long time. You let me know when you want to play, okay?” Trish said.
Keeley nodded. It wasn’t time to end the snuggle yet. Not while Trish was warm, holding her tightly, and stroking her hair.
Eventually though, Keeley felt the wiggles return. She hopped off of Trish’s lap. Her stuffies had been launched when she’d gone in for the hug. Keeley set them on the couch side by side, snuggling and looked expectantly at Trish. Her babysitter looked a little dazed and pink cheeked. Maybe Trish had gotten overheated during the snuggles.
“Okay, what games are we going to do?” Keeley asked.
“I was going to do hide and seek, but we’re not supposed to go down to the beach.” Trish said. When Keeley pouted, Trish nodded back. “Don’t you worry, I’m the most popular babysitter in town!”
Trish dragged the coffee table away from the couch and started working the couch more into the middle of the living room.
“You are not.” Keeley teased. “Everybody does hide and seek.”
“You doubt my powers?” Trish said with a grin. “Then get ready for – balloon tennis!”
Trish opened the bag she’d left by the front door. It was a good-sized duffel. Out of the bag came a pair of toy plastic racquets and a bag of balloons.
“Balloon tennis?” Keeley asked curiously. It seemed pretty straightforward, but it there was potential for fun.
“That’s right.” Trish said. “Can you blow up a balloon on your own?”
“Course I can!” Keeley declared. Trish handed her a trio of balloons and she set to blowing them up.
Trish blew up three balloons as well and bounced one of them on her racquet. “Rules are simple. You have to get the balloon over the couch. We start out with just one. Every time a balloon touches the floor the person on that side has to pick it up as fast as they can and serve it back over the couch. While they’re doing that, the other person grabs a new balloon and serves that one.”
“And then we get a point when we put in a new balloon?” Keeley asked, confused.
“No points, just fun!” Trish said, gently lobbing the first balloon at Keeley. “Coming at ya!”
Keeley giggled and batted the balloon back. They made it to three volleys before Keeley missed. She had hardly gotten the balloon picked up and back in the game, when another one was coming at her face. Giggling, she swatted it back hard. Hard as a balloon could fly anyway.
Eventually the game devolved into picking up balloons and swatting them across the couch. Neither Trish nor Keeley could keep up with six balloons in the air. They were both giggling and breathless.
Keeley felt an annoying pressure in her bladder and let go so she could concentrate on the three balloons Trish had rapid-fired across the couch. She’d swatted them back and added a fourth when she realized what she’d done.
Everything had been so much fun, but now she was a stupid baby with a wet diaper. Trish was going to check her diaper again eventually and find out. Wetting herself twice in front of Trish, meant the younger girl would think that Keeley wasn’t potty trained at all.
Two of the four balloons came back over the couch. Keeley let them drift past her. The hot feeling behind her eyes was back. She was too disappointed to resist the tears. Playing with Trish had made her too little to even cry quietly.
“Keeley, are you okay?” Trish asked, stupidly, when Keeley started bawling.
Of course she wasn’t okay. Keeley dropped her racket and pressed her hands to the front of her skirt.
“Hey, what’s the matter?” Trish asked, putting her arms around Keeley gently. “What happened.”
“I hu-hu-had an a-accident.” Keeley sobbed.
It was true too. She hadn’t been paying attention and had peed her pants, even though she didn’t want to in front of Trish. There wasn’t anything else to call it. Somehow it was easier to admit to Trish than it would have been to her nannies. Probably because she wouldn’t see Trish again after this weekend.
That only made Keeley sadder. She didn’t want to never see Trish again. It was stupid, and crazy, and weird, but she really liked Trish. Even as a babysitter. Especially as a babysitter. The reasons to cry just kept piling on. She shouldn’t want to have a babysitter, not in her late 20s!
“That’s okay hon, it’s not the first time.” Trish said gently. “You had one when we met. Your nannies told me all about it, it’s totally okay. I’m not upset, and I don’t think you’re bad.”
“I was gonna be a big girl for you!” Keeley howled. “I was going to show you that I don’t have accidents.”
“Oh darling.” Trish hugged Keeley lightly, resting the crying girl’s face on her shoulder. “That’s really sweet, thank you. It means a lot to me that you tried that, even if it didn’t work out.”
“You don’t have to say stuff like that.” Keeley sniffled. “I know it’s dumb and weird for a girl my age to have accidents.”
“I don’t think you’re dumb and weird.” Trish said. “But I bet you worry about that a lot with people. This is a safe space, okay?”
“What do you mean?” Keeley broke out of her funk enough to return Trish’s hug.
“It’s okay for you to be a baby girl here, okay?” Trish patted Keeley’s back. “This doesn’t change anything. You’re still the cool, pretty, talented girl I’ve been babysitting.”
“I’m not pretty.” Keeley said, knowing it was true with her face tear-streaked and snotty.
“We’ll just have to disagree on that.” Trish said. “Come on Keeley, let’s get you changed so we can go back to playing.”
Head down in defeat, Keeley let Trish lead her to the changing room. She climbed up without protest. There wasn’t a lot to protest about being diapered now. That first time her nannies had had to put her in bondage cuffs, to get a diaper on her, seemed really far away now.
Trish gave Keeley some tissues and tore the tapes off her diaper. There was a final moment of anxiety when Trish peeled it away and exposed Keeley. She shredded the tissue in her hand, hoping Trish wouldn’t get weird somehow.
The gentle, soothing wipe-job that Trish did helped calm the knot in Keeley’s tummy. There were lots of soft caresses as her babysitter got a new diaper under her and powdered Keeley up. When the diaper’s tapes were secured, Trish sat Keeley up and wordlessly wiped the girl’s face. She even held a new tissue to Keeley’s nose.
“Blow.” Trish said, in an oddly quiet voice.
Trish was blushing again. It had probably been weird to change someone as old as Keeley. Obediently, Keeley blew her nose. It took a couple of tries to get it all out. What a wreck she was. This couldn’t be fun for Trish at all.
“I’m sorry.” Keeley said miserably. “I’m sorry that was gross and weird.”
“Huh?” Trish said, looking genuinely confused. “What are you talking about?”
“Changing me. You had to get all up in my – stuff.” Keeley said. “Plus, I’m all gross and snotty. I’m sorry.”
“Uh, Keeley.” Trish rubbed the back of her head. “That was uh – kind of amazing.”
“Huh?”
“This is embarrassing for me to say.” Trish said with a sigh. “But that was really intimate and special. I liked being able to share that with you.”
“That’s why you’re blushing?” Keeley asked, not quite believing her babysitter.
“I am?” Trish doubled, maybe even tripled down on the blush. “Oh uh – wow I didn’t realize that uh – hrm! That’s a different thing. Yeah.”
“Tell me.” Keeley said petulantly. She’d just been about as vulnerable as a person could be, Trish didn’t get to keep secrets. First came the secrets, then she got made fun of.
“Shit uh – look, this isn’t the kind of thing I should tell you as uh, your babysitter.” Trish said. Faced with Keeley’s demanding frown, she sighed. “Okay, okay. I told you that I think you’re pretty.”
“Yeah, but what does that have to do with – oh.” Keeley’s eyes widened. She blushed as well.
“I’m sorry for bringing it up!” Trish said hastily. “I mean, you sort of brought it up but it’s super unprofessional of me. You don’t have to worry about anything like that, promise.”
“I have a boyfriend.” Keeley said defensively. “And I’ve had – girlfriends. It’s not like I don’t do that kind of stuff.”
“Oh.” Trish said. That information snapped her fading blush back to life. “Wow um – that’s cool.”
“You really think I’m pretty?” Keeley asked. “Like, hot pretty. Even – like this?”
“Yes.” Trish said. It was her turn to look away in embarrassment. She fidgeted.
Trish was pretty cute herself. Especially when she was fidgeting and didn’t know what to do. Trish’s fidgets gave Keeley enough space to feel like she could take control of the direction for a bit. She reached over and grabbed the baby powder, dumping it all over the front of her shirt and dress.
“Keeley!” Trish said in alarm. “What are you doing?”
“Oops!” Keeley giggled. “I got my clothes all dirty. I guess my babysitter is going to have to change me into a new outfit.”
Trish swallowed hard. Her eyes dilated and her breath sped up. “Did you just…”
“My nannies showed you where the spare clothes are, right?” Keeley asked, faux innocently.
“Yeah.” Trish licked her lips. “I uh – I’m kind of confused though. Not about you flirting with me. That’s like – super clear. But you have a boyfriend.”
“This weekend is kinda to get me away from him.” Keeley said sadly, kicking her legs. She had to turn away from Trish to say the next part. “He’s sorta – a drug addict. Not even sorta. It’s bad.”
“Oh.” Trish squirmed. “I still feel kind of weird – uh – because I’m responsible for you right now.”
“I’m not asking to uh, have sex.” Keeley said softly. “But if you want you can change my clothes and – see the rest of me.”
Keeley bit her lip and whispered. “And if I’m a really good girl maybe I would get a kiss.”
Trish broke into a broad grin. She stepped in and hugged Keeley tightly. “You are a super good girl. Even when you’re a messy one. Let’s get your clothes changed.”
Keeley skipped along with Trish to her bedroom. It had been a long time since she’d had a good opportunity to skip. The tension hanging between her, and Trish felt like a magic spell. She was careful to stay inside the boundaries of the magic.
While undressing, she let Trish do everything for her. She didn’t baby-talk though, in case it would make Trish feel weird. She made sure to keep her eyes on Trish and let her smiles show through to her face, so it’d be obvious that this was something she wanted.
Standing naked in front of Trish – well, in a diaper only, Keeley clasped her hands behind her back shyly. “Am I still pretty?”
“You’re beautiful.” Trish said. Her hand was trembling, stuck reaching halfway to Keeley.
“You can touch me.” Keeley said softly.
Reverently, Trish put her hand on Keeley’s side and gently stroked her skin. Her hand slid up and tenderly cupped Keeley’s breast. It was surprisingly sexy. Way more intense than Keeley had expected. Standing in a diaper in front of her babysitter, being a good girl for Trish was hot in a way that Keeley couldn’t have imagined before.
Trish swallowed hard and pulled her hand back. “I think I need to get you dressed.”
“Okay Trish.” Keeley said, momentarily feeling like she really was the good girl she had been pretending to be. “What do you want me to wear? There’s the dresses and stuff, but also the baby clothes.”
“Lots of choices.” Trish said nervously.
“I’ll wear anything you want.” Keeley said sincerely. “I’d even play in just my diaper for you.”
“I don’t think I can handle that.” Trish said with a chuckle. “But you wouldn’t mind if I put you in a onesie? It wouldn’t be weird now?”
“It wouldn’t be weird.” Keeley said. It was true, she realized. It probably should be weird, but it wasn’t. Not for either of them. Trish had said this was a safe space. She was the babysitter, so she should know.
“Did you like me in one?” Keeley asked. “When we met?”
“Uh, yeah. It was cute. And hot.” Trish blushed.
Keeley grinned. “I like that you think I’m hot. Can you pick me out a pretty one?”
“You got it, baby girl.” Trish spent a while investigating the onesies, finally coming back with a tie-dye onesie that looked like a well used paint-palette.
“This one?” Keeley asked curiously. It had a chaotic, messy look. All the rest were soft and babyish.
“It makes me think of you doing art.” Trish said.
“Then it’s perfect!” Keeley held her arms up.
As soon as Trish had her in the onesie with the crotch snapped tight, Keeley leaned coyly against her crib. She batted her eyes shamelessly at Trish.
“Am I a super extra awesome good girl?”
Trish laughed. “You’re kind of a brat. But you’re a good girl too. A super good girl.”
Trish leaned in. Keeley closed her eyes and parted her lips. The kiss was sweet and soft. They brushed tongues tentatively. It felt like starting an adventure, the newness of it sparked across Keeley’s lips.
They stood together after quietly, Trish pressed lightly up against Keeley, who herself was backed up against the crib.
“Am I your good girl?” Keeley asked, in a voice that was barely a breath.
“For right now? Yes.” Trish said. “Otherwise – you’re leaving right?”
“I could give you my phone number.” Keeley said. “You don’t have to use it though.”
“I’ll probably send you dumb stuff from Insta.” Trish said with a smile.
“If it makes me laugh, I’d like that.” Keeley said.
“We should probably get back to more uh – regular babysitting.” Trish said.
“But I like this.” Keeley said, leaning into Trish.
“Me too.” Trish kissed Keeley on the cheek and stepped back. “It’s super hard to keep my hands off you though.”
“Cause I’m pretty?” Keeley asked with a grin.
“And hot.” Trish said happily.
“So are you.” Keeley said. “I like you – especially because you’re my babysitter.”
“Oh y-yeah?” Trish asked, her voice cracking a little.
“Do you like it?” Keeley asked, sinking down to the floor. “When I’m a little girl? With my big, cool babysitter in charge?”
“Hot damn.” Trish said, flushed all the way down her neck.
“Better catch me before I get into something then!” Keeley said with a wild cackle.
She crawl-dashed for the door, surprising Trish and herself at the speed she could manage. All that crawling practice had paid off.
Trish caught her in the living room. They giggled on the floor together for a while. The rest of the time they spent eating cookies, drinking soda, and coloring. When the door opened, Keeley could hardly believe that it had already been hours.
“Nana!” Keeley shouted, holding out her arms. “I missed you!”
“Wow, this is a much happier baby than the one we left.” Vidette said to Trish. “Where did you find her, and what did you do with Keeley?”
Trish laughed nervously. Keeley giggled.
“Nana Vi, gimme hug!” She demanded.
In short order she’d gotten hugs from both her nannies. Trish was standing by, looking pretty awkward. Keeley grinned at her in the hopes that Trish would realize that she wasn’t going to tell.
“Hey uh – Ms. Galvez, Ms. Marroquin, there’s something I should tell you.” Trish said.
“Hmm?” Dominika arched a brow. Trish’s guilty body language had Nika tense immediately.
“Keeley and I – kissed.” Trish said.
“Because I asked her to!” Keeley said immediately.
“Oh?” Vidette asked, exchanging a look with Dominika. They both looked a little unsure.
“I wasn’t planning on doing that when I came here.” Trish said. “I want to be honest with you about it.”
“She thinks I’m pretty.” Keeley said, talking right over Dominika’s attempt to speak. “I think she’s pretty. She was really nice, and respectful. I asked her for a kiss, and she kissed me. She didn’t do anything I didn’t want her to do. She didn’t even do all the things I did want.”
Trish blushed and bit her lip at that last bit.
Vidette chuckled. After a moment Dominika joined her.
“I guess it’s okay.” Dominika said. “It sounds like nobody got hurt.”
“Thanks.” Trish said. “I know it wasn’t super professional.”
“Ugh!” Keeley shouted. Everyone looked at her in surprise. “Trish is a good babysitter, okay? I like her. We had fun and she was kind to me.”
“I thought you didn’t like the idea of a babysitter at all.” Vidette said in surprise.
“It’s okay if it’s Trish.” Keeley said. “Or you and nana Nika.”
“Yeah?” Dominika said, pleased. “You really had a good time, baby girl?”
“Yes Nana!” Keeley said happily.
She was deep in the game and loving it. She didn’t know how she’d feel about this later and she didn’t care to worry. For now, Keeley was baby. Smol. Precious. All that fun stuff that she wasn’t normally allowed to enjoy.
Dominika paid Trish in cash. Keeley got anxious again watching Trish clean up her balloons and racquets. It was suddenly very real that Trish was going to leave.
“Nanas, can Trish stay? For dinner at least? Maybe overnight?” Keeley begged.
“Aww kiddo.” Trish said. “I’m going to miss you too. I have to get to work though.”
“You could skip it!” Keeley insisted. “Nana Nika could just pay you more.”
“It doesn’t really work that way.” Trish said, chuckling. “Gimme a hug?”
Keeley crushed Trish in a hug. They hugged again when the balloon tennis stuff was put away. During the last hug at the door, Keeley refused to let go. It took Vidette and Trish both to peel her off and make her wave goodbye.
Her nannies were obviously touched at how sad she when Trish left. Keeley was ready to milk that for all it was worth. Chicken nuggets, chocolate milk, and ice-cream for dinner helped pave over the Trish-shaped hole in the evening.
It took threatening to cry, as well as begging while she was being changed into her nighttime diaper, but Keeley managed to get Vidette to agree that they could share a bed. She still had an earlier bedtime than her nanny, of course. Meditating kept her awake until Vidette came to bed, so she could fall asleep with her nanny’s arms around her.
In the morning, Keeley’s heart was at peace. She was doubly warm under the covers with her nanny. The waves and wind were making their soothing sounds. She felt safe. Keeley even dared to feel loved.
Vidette shifted as she woke up. Keeley took advantage of her nanny’s stretch to put her head on Vidette’s chest.
“Good morning snuggle-bug.” Vidette said. “How’d you sleep?”
“Perfect.” Keeley said with a soft sigh.
“You are such a cute baby like that.” Vidette said. “How’s my baby’s diaper?”
Keeley didn’t see any reason to stop snuggling while Vidette squeezed her diaper. She didn’t have to pee too urgently this morning, so the snuggles could last a while.
“Uh oh, looks like somebody had an accident while she was sleeping.” Vidette said.
“Nuh uh, that’s from last night.” Keeley said.
“I don’t think so hon.” Vidette said gently. “I checked you when I came to bed, and you were still dry. You got your nighttime diaper right before bed last night.”
“Oh well, I just went when I woke up.” Keeley said.
“Is that so?” Vidette asked. “I’m not sure. It’s not warm and it’s all absorbed.”
“I didn’t wet the bed.” Keeley said, starting to grump about it.
“Not thanks to your diaper you didn’t.” Vidette said, chuckling.
“I didn’t pee in my sleep.” Keeley insisted.
It just wasn’t possible. She must have woken up early, peed because she didn’t want to stop snuggling, and then dozed. That made way more sense than wetting overnight. Obviously.
“If you say so, baby girl.” Vidette sat up despite Keeley’s protests. “Let’s get you changed and dressed for the day, okay?”
“Can’t we snuggle some more, nana? Please?” Keeley wheedled.
“Sorry, little girl. It’s time to get up. A little past time, actually.”
Yawning, Keeley followed her nanny to the bathroom. It was easy to let Vidette take care of her. It was funny how fast she could get used to something, Keeley thought while she lay on the changing table.
Vidette put her in a smaller diaper than usual. While Keeley was wondering about that, she was confronted by a bigger question. Vidette was putting her in leggings and an adult skirt.
“Why am I wearing adult clothes?” Keeley asked, popping her head through the fuzzy sweater Vidette was putting on her. She was even wearing a bra. That felt weird after a couple days of not.
“The long weekend is over sweetie. We’re going home.”
“Oh.” Keeley sat on the changing table and looked down at her knees. It was a sad thing to hear. Even though at first she’d wanted nothing more than for the game to end.
They weren’t going to be her nannies anymore. There weren’t going to be any more snuggles, or hanging out together, or playing silly games without having to worry about being teased for it. She had plenty of servants at home to take care of her, but nobody was going to tuck her in, or tell her not to eat too many cookies, or even care if Zach came over.
“Baby girl, it’s going to be okay.” Vidette said. She wiped the tears gently off Keeley’s cheeks and pulled her in for a hug. “You’re really going to miss our game?”
“I liked being taken care of.” Keeley said. She could do without the diapers. Though to be honest, she hadn’t hated them so much at the end. It was going to be really lonely at home. Zach would be recovering from whatever he’d done over the weekend, she wouldn’t see him for a week at least.
“We liked taking care of you.” Dominika said from the door. “You know you can call us or text us whenever, right?”
“I guess.” Keeley said.
“You have your little friend too.” Vidette said. “You gave Trish your phone number, right?”
“Yeah, but she lives far away.” Keeley said. “Plus, I’m sure she has her own friends and stuff.”
“Don’t give up on her before you even leave town.” Dominika said.
“Wait.” Keeley said in confusion. “If we’re going home, how come I’m wearing a diaper?”
“To protect my car seats. You got pretty used to using them this weekend.” Vidette said. “And you wet the bed last night.”
“Did not!” Keeley protested.
“So you say. Anyway, it’s just a little extra protection for my baby girl on the ride home.”
“Fine.” Keeley said. What was a couple more hours in a diaper after a whole weekend?
“You going to be okay, little girl?” Dominika asked.
“Is it really okay if I call or text?” Keeley asked sadly. “I know you’re both really busy.”
“We are.” Dominika said. “We have work, and alumni activities for our sorority, Vidette does some volunteering, and I’m starting my own company soon.”
Keeley sighed and nodded.
“You can still call or text us any time. I might not always be able to answer when you call, but I’ll call back.” Dominika said.
“Really?” Keeley asked, looking up at her nannies with tears shining in her eyes.
“Really darling.” Vidette said. “The same goes for me. If I can’t respond right away, I will get back to you. Promise.”
“Okay.” Keeley smiled softly. “Well, maybe if we were still playing on the drive home, that wouldn’t be so terrible.”
“We can do that.” Vidette said. “I’m glad you liked the game so much.”
“Great!” Keeley said, hopping off the changing table. “I’ll let my nannies take care of my bags then.”
“What?” Vidette asked.
Dominika laughed. “Oh she got you Vi!”
“Don’t worry, I got my stuffies!” Keeley said, flouncing out to the living room.
It would take a couple of hours to drive back to Ardenthill. Back to her parents’ big, empty house. She could put off the lonely feelings for that long at least.
While her nannies were packing up the cars, they gave Keeley her phone back. She had a billion text messages and missed calls, of course. Keeley couldn’t remember the last time she’d been away from her phone for days.
One message from a new number stood out. It was a selfie of Trish. The text below said, “Put a silly Insta filter on this and use it for my contact pic!” Keeley giggled and found the weirdest clown filter she could.
She sent back a selfie of herself in the front seat of Vidette’s car, holding Gordo and both her stuffies from the Sea Witch.
After the pic she texted, “I have to be a big girl again. I’ll text you stuff. You can tell me if it gets annoying.”
By the time Vidette had pulled out onto the main highway, Keeley had a reply. “No U.” It was followed by a torrent of silly animal memes and funny Tik-Tok clips.
Keeley giggled and spammed her new friend right back.
