Monserrat dropped her diaper bag in the closet and rolled her shoulders until her back popped. She was getting home from another successful babysitting session, for another cute baby girl, with another big payout.

It’d been Amira’s third time requesting Monserrat as a babysitter. The familiarity had made for a sweet session, but left Monserrat wishing she’d been taking care of Jenna instead.

She ducked through the doorway from the mudroom and into the house’s drafty old living room. Jenna was on the couch closest to the gas fireplace, reading a textbook. Monserrat grinned, any math stuff outside of Jenna’s bedroom was legally interruptible.

Monserrat vaulted the ratty leather couch at the edge of the living room and slid on her knees across the hardwood. She came to rest perfectly positioned to peek over Jenna’s book.

“Monchi!” Jenna grinned, dropping her book and grabbing her girlfriend.

“Hey baby girl.” Monserrat half-picked Jenna up with the hug, drinking in the comforting smell and feel of her favorite person.

“You had a good session, I take it?”

“Great one, but I missed you the whole time. Wanna play?” Monserrat asked with a grin.

“Play what – oh.” Jenna blushed. “Yeah, we can go upstairs and I can – change.”

“Actually, I was thinking less about the dress up aspect of it and more of other stuff.”

“Like what?” Jenna cocked her head curiously to the side.

“A little outing, late lunch here. Then whatever we feel like doing.”

“Sounds fun, but I don’t get how that’s – playing.”

Monserrat smiled and kissed Jenna gently. She leaned in to whisper in her girlfriend’s ear. “I was going to take you to the toy store to buy something for my Little girl.”

Jenna squirmed. Monserrat held her tightly, grinning at the little hip wiggle Jenna did every time she was restrained.

“Isn’t that kind of wasteful? I mean, there’s nothing I want there.”

“No? I’ve seen you eye their box of wire puzzles when we’re window shopping.”

“That’s not – they’re interesting, from a topology and graph theory perspective.”

Monserrat smirked. “Sounds like a great toy for a super smart Little girl.”

“I thought we weren’t supposed to do kink stuff in public.”

“No one will know unless we tip them off. Plenty of adults buy toys. The people there won’t know it’s unusual for me to help you pick something out, or pay for you.”

Jenna blushed. “You’re going to treat me like a kid?”

“That’s the scene, if you’re up for it. I wanted to try something with more boundaries and talking up front, this time.”

“We’ve never done a defined scene before. Not with any kind of kink.” Jenna’s eyes were open wide, she licked her lips nervously.

“It’s a little more formal I guess, but it helps make sure we’re both okay with everything that’s happening.”

“I like that it sounds safe, but it’s embarrassing to talk about.”

“This is a new kink, we have to talk about it. I don’t think we’re to the point that I can start up a scene and swat your butt if you act fussy.” Monserrat teased.

Jenna squirmed again, almost violently this time, settling down with a relieved sigh when Monserrat didn’t let go.

“No, we aren’t there for sure. I don’t know how to talk about this, though.”

“Let’s talk about what we want out of the scene. I want to take care of you, specifically like a Little girl.”

“I don’t know what I want.”

“First off, is what I want okay?”

“I like being taken care of.” Jenna said in a tiny voice.

“I want to take you out where I’m the only one that has a wallet. I’ll ask you about stuff you want, but all the decisions will ultimately be mine. You’ll never be out of my sight and I’ll make sure you’re protected the whole time.”

Jenna trembled. She buried her face in Monserrat’s shoulder. “I want you to protect me. I can’t – I can’t wear the pullups out there though.”

“I’m not asking you to, baby girl. You don’t need those right now, unless you start having accidents while we’re out.”

“Monchi!” Jenna squeaked in protest.

Monserrat laughed with a big belly laugh that shook them both. “Does this all sound okay to you?”

“Yes, it sounds – fun. Was there more, or is the shopping trip everything?”

“We can keep it going once we get home for as long as we want. Like I said, I was going to make lunch.”

“Is there normally a time limit when you do a scene or is it something else?”

“We can set a time limit. We could also say it’s done after lunch.”

“Maybe we – check in at lunch? Is that the right phrase?”

“That’ll work. Are you ready? Any questions, or anything you want to add?”

“I don’t know what to add right now. Can I ask for things later?”

“Of course baby girl. Kids ask for stuff from their caregivers all the time.”

“Our sex life is going to be one long blush from me.” Jenna said, tomato-faced. “I don’t know why you want to be with me sometimes.”

“Because there’s no one in the world I’d rather be with.” Monserrat said, feeling the truth of those words tighten around her heart.

“You’re a corny dork.” Jenna accused, clinging to Monserrat. “Okay, we can start.”

“There’s my good Little girl.” Monserrat said, kissing Jenna sweetly on the lips.

Monserrat stood and pulled Jenna to her feet.

“We need to get you ready, hon. I want to leave right away so we’re not too late for lunch.”

Bemused, Jenna nodded. “Okay, I’ll get my coat and…”

“No sweetie, let Monchi take care of it, you’re missing all kinds of steps.” Monserrat lead her confused girlfriend to the bathroom and stood her in front of the toilet.

“Uh…” Jenna didn’t get any more out before Monserrat had her leggings and panties down. She could only look at Monchi in shock as Monserrat sat her on the seat.

“You stay right there, I’ll come check in a bit to see if you’re done.” Monserrat said.

She ducked out of the bathroom and closed the door, suppressing a wild giggle. Best of all, it sounded like there was a bit of a tinkle in the bowl. She’d suspected Jenna would be able to go, if she’d been reading for a while on the couch.

“Do you need help wiping?” Monserrat asked through the door.

“No I don’t!” Jenna protested in a terrified tone.

Monserrat couldn’t stifle her giggles at the rattling sounds of Jenna frantically finishing. Not wanting to push Jenna too far, she waited until she heard the sink running to re-enter the bathroom.

“Good job washing your hands.” Monserrat said, wrapping her arms around Jenna from behind.

“Monchi, this is SO embarrassing!”

“Why? You shouldn’t be embarrassed to be a good girl.”

Monserrat felt Jenna quiver in her arms. She pulled the girl closer and kissed the back of her neck.

“I’m your good girl?”

“You’re my very best girl. Let me take care of you for a while, okay?”

“Okay Monchi.”

Excitement rose in Monserrat’s breast as she lead her suddenly-passive girlfriend around the living room. In the closet they found Jenna’s coat, hat, and a pair of gloves. Jenna let Monserrat put all of them on her, growing quieter and more vulnerably attentive with each one.

In the mudroom, Monserrat kneeled and put Jenna’s heavy winter shoes on one at a time, tying them securely with double-knots. By the time Monchi had her own coat on, Jenna had her hand out like she craved guidance.

Holding hands on the way out to the car made Monserrat’s heart sing. She was tempted to put Jenna in the back seat like she had her littlest client, Briana. Ultimately, having Jenna in arm’s reach was better than escalating the scene. She still got the fun of buckling Jenna’s seatbelt, which got a cute blush out of her passive girlfriend.

Every time Monserrat glanced over during the drive Jenna had her ‘calculating’ face on. It’d be time for a check in when they parked for sure. At least she didn’t seem upset. On the contrary, there was a subtle smile on Jenna’s face. Despite wanting to keep expectations low, Monserrat’s hopes and imagination were running wild.

There weren’t a lot of cars in the downtown parking lot. Stepping into the brutal January wind, Monserrat couldn’t blame people for staying home. At the moment, cold was one more thing to protect her Little girl from. It was nice that Jenna wouldn’t have much of an audience for their first scene.

Monserrat helped Jenna out of the car and checked the fit of her coat. “Are you doing okay?”

“This feels so weird. I feel – so much like you’re in charge. I’m full of nervous, silly energy.”

“Let yourself be silly.” Monserrat said, rubbing noses with Jenna. “I’m here to take care of you and make sure everything is okay. You have no worries, have fun instead.”

Jenna giggled, “Okay uh, should I call you something different? I call you Monchi normally.”

I wish you’d call me mommy. Monserrat thought. She hesitated. That felt like too much to ask, especially in public.

“You could call me Tia, it’s a name but it means Aunt in Spanish.”

“It sounds too distant.” Jenna shook her head.

“Well, on jobs I make the girls call me Ms. Navarrete, but that’s even more distant.”

“Wait! Can I shorten that one?” Jenna bit her lip cutely. “Can I call you Navi?”

Monserrat smiled and blushed. That has to be the cutest thing Jenna ever…

“Navi,” Jenna said, tugging at Monserrat’s coat. “Can we go in the store now? It’s cold.”

I was wrong. There’s a whole new bar for cuteness now.

“Yes Jenny. Come on.” Monserrat took Jenna’s hand, leading her carefully across the street and pointing out icy patches for her.

“This is the one you were talking about, right?” Jenna asked, leading Monserrat by the hand to the wire puzzles as soon as they were inside the store.

Monserrat smirked. “Yes Jenny. Is that the toy you want?”

Jenna´s gaze sweept the store. “We haven’t been in here before, there might be something else…”

“Why don’t I pick this one out for now, and we can look around?”

“Really?” Jenna’s eyes were sparkling, but there was a nervous edge to them too.

“Really. You’re such a good girl and it’s been ages since you got a toy. We can get something else as long as it’s small.”

“Okay!” Jenna took a couple of skipping steps further into the store, leaving Monserrat holding the wire puzzles.

Grinning like an idiot, Monserrat followed her girlfriend around the store. They looked at colored pencils and markers, little rubber monsters, board games, and really girly plastic bracelets. For a minute, Monserrat thought Jenna was going to pick one of the bracelets, but she put them back on the rack after trying them on for a bit.

That’s worth filing away for later. Monserrat thought.

Then next stop was a corner, who’s freestanding shelves were bursting with stuffed animals. The shelves along the wall were packed too, reserved for the really big stuffies.

“Do you need a stuffie, Jenny?”

Jenna put down the bat squishmallow she’d been holding with a quick, guilty motion. “Oh, not really. I mean, maybe a small one. You said a small thing, right Navi?”

“If there’s a really fuzzy friend you need here, we can do that.” Monserrat said, stroking Jenna’s back under her neck.

“I don’t want to – to…”

“Shh, Jenny, you’re my good girl, remember?”

“It’s not too much?”

“It’s not too much. Pick out the one you love the most, baby girl.”

Tentatively, Jenna picked the bat squishmallow. Correction, she picked A bat squishmallow. The one Jenna took off the shelf was twice the size of the one she’d been holding previously. It was big enough to be a full size bed pillow and a little more.

“That looks comfy and snuggly. Are you sure it´s what you want?”

Jenna squeezed the bat tightly, nodding.

“Oh my god, you are so cute.”

Monserrat leaned in for a kiss and got a surprisingly heated kiss back from Jenna. They both looked at each other in surprise, pink spots on their cheeks.

“Let’s get this stuff purchased and get you home, Little girl.” Monserrat said in a husky tone.

“Yes please, Navi.”

Jenna had trouble letting go of the big squishy stuffy at the register. When she realized what she was doing, her subsequent blush and shy hiding behind Monserrat about knocked Monchi over with cuteness. Despite her desire to get Jenna home, where she could have the Little girl all to herself, Monserrat stopped her girlfriend at the shop door.

“Do you need to potty, Jenny? Or can you make the car ride back?”

“Navi!” Jenna protested in an urgent whisper. “I’m fine.”

“Okay, just checking. I know you’re a big girl.”

Monserrat got Jenna out the door with a pat on the butt and lead her as carefully across the road as she had the first time. Jenna was so excited about her new stuffie that she unzipped her coat in the car so she could cuddle it more closely.

Back home, Jenna was almost fussy when Monserrat took her shoes and cold weather gear off. Her switch flipped once she was on the couch by the fire, with her new stuffie and a cup of hot cider. Jenna looked as contented as Monserrat had ever seen her.

Humming to herself, with blissful warmth radiating to every part of her body, Monserrat put some chicken nuggets and fries in the oven.

“Do you have a name for your new friend yet?”

“Elizabat.” Jenna said.

“Elizabat Battory?”

“No, ew! She’s a fruit bat. No blood.”

“With those fangs? Okay.” Monserrat smirked.

“She is!” Jenna insisted. “She’s not a scary bat.”

“I believe you. Do I get an introduction?” Monserrat asked, taking a seat next to Jenna.

“I…” Jenna hesitated. Monserrat could see her breaking out of the scene as she looked nervously around to make sure no one was watching.

“Maybe later then.” Monserrat nodded. “How about the three of us snuggle together until lunch is ready?”

“Okay.” Jenna wasted no time getting close enough to half-crawl into Monserrat’s lap. Monchi pulled her the rest of the way there, holding Jenna gently.

This is what I was missing. Oh god, I hope this works out. I don’t know if I can go back to not having Jenna like this.

They snuggled wordlessly until the oven timer dinged, breathing in synch, gently nuzzling each other. Faced with the choice between separating herself from Jenna and letting the chicken nuggets burn, Monserrat sliced that Gordian Knot right in half.

Monserrat picked Jenna up and carried her to the kitchen. Luckily, they had the downstairs to themselves. Everyone else was in their rooms, next to space heaters, escaping the cold.

In the bitter cold of a New England January, the living room never got to a temperature anyone would call warm, even with the fire running. The house was badly insulated enough, that they didn’t bother with the furnace for more than keeping the pipes from freezing. Any attempt to bring the temperature up to cozy would be better served by burning the cash directly.

Without an audience, Monserrat had a clingy Little girl on their hip instead of a nervous or embarrassed one. Pro-babysitting skills made it easy to get lunch out of the oven and dish it up one-handed.

When she set Jenna at the kitchen table, Monserrat was so deep in babysitter mode that she palmed her girlfriend’s crotch to check if she was wet.

“Uh, Navi, what was that for?”

“Sorry Jenny, I forgot you weren’t wearing diapers. I was checking you.”

Jenna blushed, looked at the lunch she was being served, and squirmed.

“I’m sorry hon, did I make you nervous?” Monserrat asked daringly. “We can put you in a pullup after lunch if you’re worried.”

“Good girls wear those?” Jenna asked.

“Yes sweetie. The most good girls.” She beamed with tears in her eyes as she stroked Jenna’s hair.

“Okay Navi, if you think I need it.”

“I think it’s best for Little girls. Do you want ketchup with your nugs?”

“Yes please. Navi um, is there more cider?”

“As much as you want, sweetie.”

They ate quietly, gazing into each other’s eyes and playing footsie under the table. After lunch, Monserrat got to carry Jenna up the stairs. They went to the bathroom first, where Monserrat pulled Jenna’s leggings and panties down again, before setting her on the potty.

Monchi at the door when she heard Jenna squeak out, “Navi.”

“Need something Jenny?”

“Y-you c-can st-st-stay.”

“Are you sure? If I stay I’m going to wipe you.”

Jenna bent over until her body was resting on her knees. She began using the toilet, which was a pretty intense act of courage even if she couldn´t respond verbally. When they’d started dating, Jenna hated the idea that Monserrat would know she was in the bathroom, let alone that Monchi might hear something happening.

Now she was peeing while Monserrat was watching. There was even a tiny fart, which Monserrat couldn’t help giggling at, though she knew Jenna was dying inside. With her most gentle, loving manner, Monserrat put her arms around Jenna and stroked the Little girl’s back.

“I love you Jenny. You’re such a good girl. I love you so much, my precious, darling baby girl.”

“I’m not gross?” Jenna asked in a strangled half-sob.

“No sweetie, never. I’d tell you about some of the stuff I do on my jobs – but you would throw up. This is nothing. Even if it was something gross, I love you too much to ever be grossed out by you.”

“I love you too. Please Navi… I’m done. Can we – get to something else?”

“Of course.”

Monserrat deftly twisted the nob on the bidet, in the hopes that being pre-washed off would make things a little less harrowing for Jenna. Instead, she got a confused and alarmed yelp.

“Navi! Augh, what was that?”

“That was the bidet honey.”

“I don’t use that thing.”

“You don’t?” Monserrat blinked in genuine confusion. “It’s so nice! And you really like being clean down there.”

“It’s weird.” Jenna pouted.

“Oh Jenny, my Little Jenny.” Monserrat laughed helplessly. “Let’s get you more comfortable.”

She helped Jenna sit up and wiped her crotch gently. Just one wipe, thanks to the bidet. she’d later note to her girlfriend. The bidet was right up Jenna’s alley. She couldn’t believe her girlfriend wasn’t using it.

Back in Monchi’s bedroom, Monserrat put Jenna on the bed on her back. Cautiously, she pulled the girl’s leggings and panties off. Jenna didn’t say anything, didn’t try to switch positions. It was desperately tempting to reach for her diaper stash and put a real diaper on Jenna.

She already pushed herself so far with the toilet thing. I think she could do more but – that’s not fair.

It was lovely anyway to slide a pullup onto Jenna in the diaper changing position. Monserrat sneaked a puff of baby powder into the pullup before putting it on her girlfriend. Again, if Jenna noticed, she didn’t say anything.

“I think everyone else in the house is in bed to get away from the cold. Should we join them?”

Jenna nodded and smiled, grabbing Elizabat, who hadn´t been more than two feet away since she’d picked her up in the store. Monserrat left Jenna in the pullup only below the waist, and stripped out of her own pants and bra.

Tucked into the covers, Monserrat sighed as her heart overflowed with love. Jenna wiggled against her, coming in for a kiss. Much like the kiss at the toy store, it started sweet but went passionate immediately. Unlike the toy store kiss, it was followed by another, and another, until there was no pretense of sweet kisses, only hungry sexy kisses that made the world go away.

“Monchi…” Jenna said breathlessly.

“Yes baby?”

“I think I need to stop the scene. But, I don’t have to take the pullup off or anything. I’m not ready for – it’s hard to be this sexy with you and think of you as Navi.”

THAT is an extremely interesting thing to say. Monserrat thought. I wonder who exactly ‘Navi’ is, if she’s different enough from Monchi that it’s confusing to think of her sexually.

“Of course Jenna, Monchi’s here.”

“Do you – do you want to f-make love to Jenny?”

“First off, is Jenny the Little you? I’ve called you Jenny before we played this game. Do you want me to reserve it for when we’re playing?”

“Yes please.”

“Then yes, I do want to eff-make love to Jenny.” Monserrat teased. ¨But I´m excited to eff Jenna too.¨

“Stop it.” Jenna giggled. “You’re always so mean to me in bed.”

“Yeah, I’m horrible with all the turning you on, and making you come your sexy little brains out.”

“Like that! That’s a gross expression. Now I’m thinking about my brains all over the floor. Ew Monchi! Bad Monchi!” Jenna swatted Monserrat on the shoulder.

“Oh, I know this Jenna. She’s not that different from Jenny. She has something she wants but she can’t ask for it.”

Monserrat grabbed Jenna’s wrists and rolled onto her, pinning her forcefully to the bed. Jenna fought, really fought, but she might as well be trying to lift a car for all the good it did against Monserrat’s gym-hardened muscles.

“Okay, you got me.” Jenna panted. “What are you going to do with me?”

“Depends. Are you a good girl?”

“I want to be YOUR good girl.”

“Then I’m going to make my good girl kiss and touch me just the way I like. After, I’m going to kiss and touch her the way she likes.”

Jenna moaned, her belly quivering against Monserrat.

“Then I’m going to bundle you up under the covers and snuggle you. All night long, if you want to stay over in my room.”

“Yes please. Please Monchi.” Jenna groaned and lightly licked Monserrat’s neck. “I’m your good girl.”

“You’re my best girl.” Monserrat kissed Jenna again, reveling in the feeling of her girlfriend held helplessly beneath her.

Despite the wind, despite the ice coating the single-pane windows, despite the almost-certainly-criminal lack of insulation in the walls, it got hot enough in the bedroom that they had to throw the covers off for a while.

When the sweat cooled, they dived under the covers again. Their lovely winter-break nap was all the more sweet because it was one of the last before school started again. They woke in an impenetrable cocoon of warmth beset on all sides by a room that frosted their breath.

Monserrat braved an arm outside the covers to turn the space heater on. By the time the room was livable, they’d both come out of the nap enough to be hungry.

“I’ll make us a quick dinner tonight. Let’s you get out of that pullup and cleaned up. It´s soggy and about as disheveled as a pullup can get.” Monserrat laughed.

“Navi.” Jenna said, sitting on the bed with her hands tucked between her knees. “Don’t you think that – that if I’m staying over tonight – maybe – I should probably wear – I should have a pullup on.”

Monserrat blinked. She realized she’d slipped back into caregiving without thinking about it. Jenna could get herself cleaned up, of course. Instead of pushing back, Jenna had dived in. Hard.

The hesitation was short lived. Monserrat didn’t know exactly who Navi was to Jenny, yet, but it was Navi who picked the little girl up in a princess carry.

“Of course, Jenny-bear. You’re such a good girl for thinking of it. That way neither of us has to worry about you having an accident.”

“I love you, Navi.”

Monserrat – Navi, felt her knees buckle. Her heart had actually skipped a beat. She caught herself before Jenny felt anything more than being gently rocked in Navi’s arms.

I didn’t think the nickname would matter. Not like that. Not until she told me she loves Navi.

Jenny loved being Monserrat’s baby girl. She loved being Navi’s Little girl. She loved being taken care of, being Little, and depending on her caregiver. Monserrat gathered Jenna to her chest and rained tender kisses on Jenna’s head. Navi took Jenny to the bathroom to wash her.

It was too new to know who she was at any particular moment. Monserrat wished she knew exactly what Navi meant to Jenna and Jenny. What it meant to Monserrat so far was the opening of an impossible door.

The door had been locked and covered in vines. It lead to a garden full of summertime flowers where the sun never set. That sun beamed on Monserrat’s heart and turned the world colors in her eyes.

Navi put Jenny in a pullup and pajamas. Jenna dozed in bed while Monserrat prepared cheese and crackers for dinner. Navi wanted to put a protein shake in a baby bottle. Monserrat did too, but she shushed Navi. It wasn’t time for that yet – was it?

Monserrat and Jenna had a quiet dinner together while they chatted about school and what a jerk their landlord was. Afterwards, Navi cleaned the crumbs off Jenny’s mouth and pajamas. She made sure her Little girl brushed her teeth and tried to potty before bed. Jenny did everything she was told, beaming every time Navi told her what a good girl she was.

Navi and Jenny fell asleep in bed together, joined by Elizabat, of course. Monserrat listened to her girlfriend’s sleeping breathing with a trembling heart. She didn’t know if she wanted Jenna to propose to her tomorrow or wake with a wet pullup, or both.

All she could figure out, before she slipped into dreams herself, was that the girl she had in her arms was the most precious thing in her life.

Oh my Jenna, my Jenny. I can’t wait for our sixty years. I love you so much for trying so hard, being so adorably you.

All night, Navi held Jenny in her arms, her heart bathing in the sunlight of the garden Jenny had opened for her.
